35 Minutes of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Give me one hour or so. It's a nice 5.2 GB file :D

There's something about the camera framing and position during the character dialogues and the interaction itself that this series does a lot better than others. I am not able to articulate this well but similar portions in other RPGs seem to have unnatural pauses and feel stilted.

Man, if it's enough to turn you away from the whole game then you must really not be a fan of the battle music :D

not feeling it at all to be honest

I tried the Witcher on PC before never really fell in love with the battle system but overall enjoyed the experience, now the music is just really putting me off the battle system seems to be improved a bit tho

game looks damn good

I honestly think the graphics don't look as good as they did before. I can't quite put my finger on it. There's a lot of micro-stutter too. Hopefully that's improved by launch. Would be nice to see some PhysX features too. I think they've been working with nVidia.

Witcher 2 has that revamp mod that supposedly mimics how Witcher 3 will play out, I'd give it a bash.

Yea hats off to the Cinematic guys (I know one of them posts on here) ... Every 'cutscene' feels so fucking natural and engaging. I guess also partly that the writing is also so damn interesting.

I was pretty engrossed by the story in Witcher 2, especially the Elven Wild Hunt they constantly teased but never expanded upon, so Im glad we finally see them in Witcher 3. Cant wait to see older characters too like Vernon Roach and Iorveth

The quest line in this demo is way more interesting than it has any right to be. Even what should seemingly be a series of fetch quests is interesting because the world is so damn cool.

if he talks about books, you better damn well listen
Everything seems great...except the combat. Looks very repetitive (even with the demonstrator trying to use lots of magic) and my expectations are low after the first two Witchers.

Its not fair that we're getting this and Bloodborne almost at the same time. Which one will I play first?

Yeah, I hear you. Witcher, Demon/Dark Souls, and the Arkham games are my favorite franchises from the past gen. To be getting Witcher 3, Blood Borne, and Arkham Knight all within the 2 months is mindblowing.

This statement isnt even hyperbole. This may well be the GOTY for 2015 or at the very worst, the runner up.

It is just...coming together. I have waited a long time for this. Really, I don't think there has been a WRPG which has brought style, high quality writing, a massive world, an excellent protaganist, some degree of narrative choice, all together in what seems to be such a tight package...It just looks awesome. I love the little details as well, such as the kids wanting to play 'burn the witch'. Probably the sort of games kids did play during the middle ages.

Also, CD Project have really improved their story telling through the series. Even this quest seemed like a step up from W2 to me.

Isn't Arkham Knight coming out the same day as The Witcher 3? And both distributed by Warner Bros. (in the US)

I loved the quest and the lore, as well as the open world. The combat looks really fun too, and the music is mesmerizing.

I feel a bit underwhelmed by the character models though. Graphics are nice, but nothing mind blowing.

We can't have everything I guess :)

Plenty of time for improvements and optimization.

I agree it doesn't look quite as shiny as what we saw in the Sword of Destiny trailer. However CDPR games have only gotten better from pre-release footage to release. So I'm willing to reserve my judgment on the graphics front until I'm playing the game at Max graphics on Feb 24th.

not really here to rain on the love fest, just being honest about my impression it was 30+ minutes

music is half the experience for any action or RPG game that may take a deeper time investment

the longer the game is going to take the more important the music is to me. just not feeling that battle music this is the most important since that should be the most repetitive thing I'll do in game.

it had that eerie sound before when the enemies attacked in 1. I liked that you felt the danger it was a nice touch of creepy now you have a whole chorus voices kick in during battle

the sound and music from this part of the game gave me Chills

I'd like to take the chance to ask a favor: please advocate for releasing a 60 fps clip of the game.
I don't even care if it's an entire gameplay session. A couple of minutes would be more than enough. i just want to look at how the game "feels" a 60 fps.
