At 26 seconds in the leak3 video the car tilts backwards and what looks like a little mechakoopa slides out from a hatch, but the attack gets interrupted and it's bad quality so it might be something else.

You can see a green shell and what looks like those clockwork legs so I'm pretty sure it's a mechakoopa, could be his down special maybe?

Yep, that's a Mechakoopa alright. But I'm not sure it's a Smash attack; there doesn't appear to be any charge up time or any flash of light, so I'm thinking it's either his down special or his down tilt.

Things that still bother me

1. Rhythm Haven and Ice Climbers Smash Run enemies. No other game has a Smash Run enemy without a playable character.
2. The 4-5 slots left on the CSS that make no sense. Why is Shulk with 3rd parties when he could move up one row and not be?

This isn't even denial, it's just looking at things that seem off. I don't think we have the whole picture here.

I still don't think that was the whole roster -- at the very least the final design. Going back over the Imgur album I noticed Barbara the Bat's trophy box was lacking text, which leads me to continue believing this wasn't a finalized product we saw in the video (probably in a debug developer mode).

I still think those spaces are available for future DLC. Mario Golf got DLC, we know MK8 will probably get DLC (Amiibo stuff at least) with the Cup images labled as such they found on the disc. I think Nintendo is convinced that DLC can extend the life of a game and cover for some dry patches.
