Almost done pre-loading DR3. Can't fucking wait. That and Ryse (yes, Ryse) was actually my top reasons to buy an Xbone at release and now DR3 is just a couple of days from being played in 1080p with 60 FPS and Ryse is coming later this year.

I also have 133€ in my Steam wallet from cards and currently considering buying Ethan Carter for it.

Looks like a good representation of reality.

The AMD one is just too accurate.

Preloading DR3 wasn't my best idea. Now it's constantly teasing me in my library. It's also annoying that preloads reappear in the download list.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
They did it last year too, giving away for free Mafia 2, Civ 5 and another game I can't remember.

It was just those two.

Ah, that pic confused me. It was relevant 4 years ago. 4xx Fermi cards and AMD just few years ago.

Yeah, I think a PhysX joke would have been a better fit for the Nvidia one since the effects are usually grossly ostentatious and cut the framerate in half.

Also I wasn't actually sleeping when 'it' happened but playing Wolfenstein:TNO which is a pretty fucking great game, feels like one of the good old, singleplayer focused shooters from the 90s/00s.

The NV one too, only graphics cards that died on me were from them. *g*

I´ll probably pick Wolfestein: TNO later this year, as it really seems to be a great game.

I started with NV, and (accidentally) fried one of them back in the day. :) Then used AMD cards for almost 8 years, now that I chose to go back with NV, a year after my purchase the stupid fan of the GPU is already making an very annoying noise.

Whoa. Sounds like what happened to my friend's nVidia card when they had that driver snafu that was frying cards.

This was about a decade ago mind you. I'm talking 9600XT vintage.

Those piddly little fans on them loved to seize up and then it was burn baby burn.

Also, remember Catalyst drivers? Man, fuck dat shit.

Of course it hasn't. That was such a ridiculous rumour:

That was a cancellation purported by a site that used false names and cited another site that didn't exist until after the article started doing the rounds (said source now hosts a fake "Hacked by 4chan" page), in what was clearly a last-ditch attempt to make the claims seem legitimate.

Better off waiting on a sale.

I'm sure he realises that. ;)

That's what happened to my 9700 Pro, sadly. It didn't do anything flashy like catch fire, but the fan died in the middle of Unreal Tournament and next thing I know the screen went all funky, followed by a hot smell. Shut the computer off ASAP to no avail, my poor trooper was dead.

I bought it straight away. The original Hexcells was too easy, the second one really got it going with some great challenge that was all logically solvable but damn tricky later on. So far the new one is doing excellently. Same difficulty curve as the second, but the infinity mode I have yet to try, is basically a random generator for making new puzzles.

That's great to hear. I ended up kind of disappointed by how easy the first one was, but the second one definitely put all my fears to rest. I am curious how well the random puzzles work, as well. Some of the later puzzles in Plus came across as really cleverly designed, which might be tricky to emulate randomly.

Oh god, the Banner Saga is even more beautiful than I imagined. Everything looks amazing. The cutscenes, the fights, the overview maps, the actual map. I love how the dialogs shift perspectives and people even move a bit. I didn't actual play much, only about half and hour, but it was already a bliss.

Thanks MakeshiftChef for raffling it out <3

I was mostly concerned by the fact I had been putting 9600XT cards into a lot of PC's I had built for friends and family at the time. Kind of funny ringing a person up and saying "Yo, has that PC I did for you caught on fire yet?"

Uh, yeah. I would imagine that would be a concern. Did anyone else's catch fire?

i've seen some interview where they said they got a lot of request for PC port and they will look into it - and IMO they'll do current gen + PC port early next year anyway

A western publisher saying something along those lines almost always means "That's the plan, but we don't want to talk about it yet." Conversely, the same words from a Japanese publisher typically means "We hear you, but it's not going to happen."

'We currently have no plans.'

To clarify that giveaway above: Duplicity isn't a Steam key (it hasn't been greenlit yet), however the game's $19 on Desura, so it's worth snapping up for the inevitable Steam release.

'We currently have no plans.'

Ubisoft on The Division PC (June 2013):
Firstly, we are incredibly proud of the reception the game received at E3 and it has been amazing to see how the fans have responded. We designed The Division with the next generation of consoles in mind; however, we are not ruling out any platforms in the future.

Ubisoft on The Division PC (August 2013):
You asked for it (at least judging from the hundreds of comments on this UbiBlog post when the game was first revealed – and the thousands of comments on Facebook, Twitter and elsewhere). And now Ubisoft is delivering. Today, Ubisoft confirmed that along with the previously announced PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, Tom Clancy’s The Division will be available on PC as well.

So transparent.

Yeah. I saw that. Just activated in Desura.

Japanese "We will look into it" is the worst really. "If the demand is high, we will release it on PC."

How can they see how big the demand is?
