Haha, well - I've always been a sucker for origin stories. That's why my favourite of the Nolan Batman films is Begins. That and it has Deathstroke in it.

Mine would be Origins > City > Asylum, so maybe it's best we don't talk to each other anymore. :p

Yeah but Begins is the best Nolan movie, so that's fair. Also, I don't really think Origins is an origin story. Nothing originates in that game haha. Except maybe
the Joker
but to me, that felt super forced and I would have preferred if it was actually
Black Mask
. But fair enough, I think Asylum is the best because it is extremely focused and there's no filler. Every minute of Asylum was incredible to me, I've finished it around 4 times now and still love it.

I've beat both of those and enjoyed them a great deal. I'm in the Asylum camp as to which I think is the better game.

I'm super lttp on Origins. Is it open world like City? Because I think that hurt the narrative .

Origin is an open world game. I think the city is a lot bigger than Arkham City. Its depends, I didn't think the open environment hurts the narrative because it was incredibly awesome to explore it and go to like Crime Alley and the Iceberg Lounge.

Awesome! Do you prefer Paypal or would keys work?

Paypal is prefered :)

Origins is the best one though...

I...am speechless.
I like the Gameplay the most out of the 3 games, but story-wise I think Asylum is still pretty sweet.
I added you as a friend on Steam :)

I'll be on in a minute.

Year One is a better Batman origin story. I think Batman Arkham Origin tried to incorporate elements from that but it just didn't work. Year One is a pretty M rated story but since Arkham games are rated T. Its pretty hard to combine the two.

I recommend trying to read some comic sometimes, The Killing Joke is amazing. I got a signed copy of it. Whatever Happened To The Caped Crusader is amazing too among many others.

Shadownet speaks the truth. They also tried and failed to adapt the
Knightfall
story. Which was extremely disappointing and kind of soured me on the game for a bit.

Spoiler marking just in case.

Edit: Zero Year is also great, read that shit. It's the new official origin for Batman.

Did you like the previous games? It's totally worth checking out. I finished it in around 10 hours if that's at all relevant to you - although that was over the course of like 6 months haha.

Yeah I like Asylum and City though Asylum more so. Sure I'm going to like it but I need the time for it. Currently doing a jrpg and you know how much time those things take.

Origins is a great game, and I said at the time it'd be a situation like Bioshock 2, and wouldn't be appreciated until later.

If anyone need to get a cheap copy of Witcher 3 on Steam. Just send me a PM on Steam and I can help you out. I think the price is $13.64. I have my source but they want to be incognito, so I usually act as a middle man. If you need any other region free games, I could help as well.

Hmm, very tempted at that price (then again I still have the other witcher games in my backlog ;_;).

I may send you a pm when I get home from work. PayPal, yeah?

Knightfall
is indeed very good. I haven't read Zero Year yet. Which reminds me. I gotta stop by my local comic book store soon. :/ I haven't pick up my subcription in so long.

One of my absolute favorite comic book ever is Kingdom Come. Which I can only pray that they will adapt it to some other form of media one day. I'll take a video game, movie, TV show or even an animated show based on it.

Guys, on a scale of strider 2014 to super metroid, how bad of a metroidvania is batman blackgate and should I decide to play it, should I play it before Oranges or after?

It's worse than Strider. I'd just leave it, but if you must then play it after Oranges, just because you won't finish it with that god awful map.

Closer to Strider, but I got some enjoyment out of both (and also very cheap). Although the in game map is really bad (and this is the improved one)!

I'd play Origins first definitely.

I could also finish off Outlast. I think I'm in the last third of the game... but it's kind of shitty so I don't even know if I should bother.

These first person horror adventure games without combat I want to love because they nail the atmosphere but in terms of actual gameplay hooks it's just so damn lacking.

I really hope Alien Isolation gives you some kind of way to defend yourself other than hiding. I don't want shootbang but give me something plz

Sub Zero

his body's cold as ice, but he's got a heart of gold
Seems like Arkham Oigins is getting "sony exclusive" Kightfall dlc afterall in GOTY edition - check depots
http://steamdb.info/sub/47561/depots/

I got the PS3 version of the game first because of this specific pack. The Knightfall saga has a lot of sentimental value for me and I had to buy the inferior version just to play it. If they won't make it available for owners of the base game, they will be major jerks

There is combat in Alien Isolation and it seems to work really well in the game.

I could easily the deal be something like "exclusive for PS3 not including GOTY versions".

What's all this talk about GMG and Dark Souls?

If you had followed the breadcrumbs, you would have eventually -- and by "eventually" I mean "quickly", because it's on the exact same page (edit: by which I mean the previous page) -- found this post:

They (=GMG) seem have removed Dark Souls and all NamcoBandai stuff, so I wouldn't expect that.

;)

Just finished downloading the preload to Dead Rising 3. Not sure why I bought it because I didn't enjoy 1 or 2... this just looks fun though! I guess I thought the same about 1 and 2 but you never know.

Bought it yesterday and played for a couple of hours today. It's pretty great, which I didn't expect after hearing the news about all the omitted features. If they add them back it will be the best Sims game ever

Cool. Thanks for the feedback.

I think I might just go for it.

I guess that settled it, I'll leave badman badgate for last. Thanks!

I'm lawyering up as we speak.

It's on the previous page. If he'd scrolled before posting he would have seen it, hence my snarky reply. ;)

You must be slacking. :)

Haha, I have been a bit, actually, as I'd like to upgrade from my 2GB 670s in time for Unity. That said, with the delay pushing the game very close to the Autumn Sale, I'm beginning to wonder if I shouldn't just hold out until after the Winter Sale.

Time to buy more games!

I'm currently (well, not currently currently) using Idle Master to bring down the cost of Magix Somethingrather 2014 to a more agreeable level. ;)
