I don't like this guy, but yeah i agree so far from what we've heard he does a pretty good job but if HGW is really out i would always think "man i wonder what HGW would have done with the OST"

What if he only helped with the GZ score and is missing in the main game??? AAAAARRGHHH i hope not.

Agreed. I would always question what we got versus what HGW could have given us - no matter how amazing the quality was in the finished product.

Speaking of Metal Gear music, do you remember this?

It was from the MGS3 GPhoria presentation in 2003 [maybe 2004]. It wasn't in the final retail released game - but it sure sounds awesome.

No, never heard it. It sounds ok.

Kojima uses songs in his trailers because TPP's official soundtrack is so bad :p

I prefer music in past games, but anyway he did some cool sounds and songs. For example, the moment in GZ where we have to escape from the base can be so epic thanks to this:

mmm yep, pretty sure HGW it's going to be in the sountrack, but we don't know if he have the same importance than in the past games.

Well i sure as hell hope so although he's probably very busy since he also worked on the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare soundtrack.

The Equalizer Theme on that website is A M A Z I N G.

I can feel a little Metal Gear in it. Sounds tough and unapologetic. Like a cross between GZ/TPP and Man On Fire.

There is nothing wrong with that whatsoever.

He also composed Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Activision and Sledgehammer really want to present AW as the next COD4), and we still got some fantastic shit in MGS4.

They aint getting a 'Metal Gear Saga', that's for damn sure.

i'd like to see someone like clint mansell tackle a metal gear game...i like HGW, but he's a little too "standard" for metal gear....i want a pi-ish or the fountain-ish mansell making some amazingly weird epic shit in a metal gear game

About HGW... If MGS4 is any reference, more likely his part are nearly cutscenes, since most of BGM / gameplay music is a mixture of Toda, Hibino and his music studio.

that part of GZ music is on point, idk i get Terminator vibe. Music has never been an issue in regards to MGS series, i cant wait for sins of the father to release.

As you see I'm not the only one. There`s a big difference between watching a gameplay presentation and a trailer. Even if the gameplay presentation shows a actual story mission (which isn't the case here) you`re only going to see one mission, a trailer can and will spoil various story elements.

If someone told me there was a MGSV:TPP leak thread that spoiled everything regarding the game and that it was legitimate - it would be really, really hard for me not to at least sneak a peek at it.

In fact, I may even need others to physically restrain me from a computer/cellphone and then monitor my daily activities just to keep me from even being tempted to look at it.

I apologize then, in the post where I dropped the spoiler I mentioned that I wish I didn't know about it either myself, so I understand where you're coming from. It's just when it comes to MGS, I always end up absorbing every promotional material avaliable, definitely envy your ability to go in blind, wish I had the resolve to do that myself!

Anyway, I edited my original post, hopefully no one else in the blind saw it.
