That's sad to hear, especially given Bungies great ability to do world building, but I guess the design of the game and its strong focus on coop doesn't lend itself to an very narrative heavy game experience.
It's more of a lore-based experience than explicitly telling a character story.

I'm sure it's not everyone's forte (and I already expect the game will get backlash for perhaps the 3rd time over for the same thing), but the world building is certainly there. They want you to take stake in the world rather than characters.

From the beta though, I think the crucial thing that was missing was developing a relationship with the enemies, which is what was very strong in Halo. I think going to other worlds is an opportunity to remedy that.

All I really want to see/know:

1) CTF GAMEPLAY!! I really want to see how this plays...what are the other crucible modes like?

2) I guess this is common, but I want to see the bestiary for the different planets. I'm pretty sure there's an overview on this already, but hopefully there is a good variety in design and gameplay.

What's everybody starting with?

I was thinking hunter but this titan talk is intriguing me. I only played the alpha for a bit and decided to wait off for the game to come out so I'm not sure which route to go.

OK, this is my final post of the night. I'm going to head downstairs and play a game, because if I stay here at my PC any longer, I am totally going to pass out.

So have fun GAF, see you in the game.

StrykerIsland for those I still don't have on PSN.

I think the problem is this game style isn't meant to have a way to forge a relationship with the enemies.

Regarding the gamepur review, I have a sad feeling that many of the reviews will come out this way. The game feels like a base game engine that is ripe for DLC. You just add planets and a strike and call it a day.

I really hoped that Bungie would bring back some of their storytelling.
