The cap hurts people who are waiting till level 3 to get weapons from their faction. That shit takes a while.
what? don't misunderstand what this means for your character. he's... exactly in the same place. spend your marks... if you have no need of armor buy the cheap pieces and dismantle for ascendant shards.
the cap sucks because 200 seems crazy low, but it will not stop you from progressing your level, which is the entirety of what I'm talking about in my guides.
I do legitimately feel bad for anyone who hit 200 marks before even getting to vanguard (or Crucible) rank 2. I didn't even realize that was possible honestly, but it sucks because they can't spend to get under the cap. I hope you guys are doing every bounty you can

I need to get to Level 2 Vanguard before I hit the 200 Vanguard Mark cap so I can spend them.
I've been getting/giving all my rep from/to FWC.

i guess it's not the biggest deal. most i'd lose out on is like 10 or 15 marks I bet. I do wish I could just stick with FWC forever and not worry about this stuff.
But at least that stuff never resets and it'll be there waiting for me.
I think I just need to do a level at a time after I hit Vanguard Level 2.
Do a Level Vanguard, then a Level FWC, then a Level Vanguard, etc.

The weekly limit on marks is 100. Turns out you can only hold two weeks worth.

You'll get a vanguard care package in the mail and have rank 4 for whenever they release higher level gear down the line.
It's a dumb cap where you can't hold more than 200 marks. So, for people like me that are saving for some Rank 3 we weapons, we have to now spend them. Another decision from Bungie that seems pretentious as fuck.
You continue to get sent stuff in the mail beyond 3, that's all I've seen. I'm halfway to 6 for Vanguard, which is on hold until I get to R2 or R3 New Monarchy.

Does anyone have a guide for getting Vanguard rank up fast? I wanna reach lvl 2 when I get home from work today but last night I was gaining it sooooo slow. I played like 8 strikes last night and the bar barely moved and I only got a bunch of shitty green and blue engrams. I'm a lvl 23 hunter of that matters. All this rep, mark, and queen shit is confusing the hell out of me while I'm reading this at work.
there's a total mark cap of 200 marks (each, Vanguard/Crucible), good idea to spend your marks.
I'm fairly sure you'll just get random rewards each rank up, like a legendary weapon.

But then, so does one witch's mission.
HmmMMMmmm. I guess leveling a Faction isn't the biggest deal anyway, although each option has their own specific legendaries, so it's all about what you actually want.

Is there a reason to push through this horrible mission the queen has sent me on? It just doesn't feel like this can be done solo and I'm getting sick of being one shotted in a darkness zone every 10 seconds. Will it be worth it?

If anyone else wants to do the Nightfall, I am Level 27 Titan, likely hitting 28 soon.
I was going to swap to a Faction as soon as I hit Vanguard 3, but I was rather happy with the scout rifle they gave me, so I think i'll get it to 4 before picking my Faction.
Do you want help figuring our your path to progress, or are you just not having fun? If it's the latter then there's no reason to play it, or any game ever.

Yeah it's weird. It's like, easy leveling, easy Legendaries (for two weeks, anyways), one raid.
It's like, if you don't like PvP, you're done or almost done the game by now if you went at it hard.
Luckily, I like PvP / prefer it, but for those PvE'rs....wow lol.

Whenever you complete a bounty for the queen you get a queens wrath token. This allows you to launch an epic + other modifiers lvl 24 version of a mission with a mini boss "target" at the end. Finish the mission and you will receive a legendary piece of loot. At least I did for each of the 4 missions I ran this morning.
Heard iron banner will have gear with 30 light.

Bail on it and reroll, the Queen's Bounty Mark thing is only consumed when you finish the mission, just go back to orbit and relaunch for a more doable story mission

New area has opened up, right behind the bounty board.
I enjoy the actual gameplay part of the game. I do not enjoy the constant barriers. I feel like I'm just wasting my time a majority of the time I play. The amount of content simply does not satisfy the amount of time you have to put in to progress.
Yeah this would been helpful at launch.

Damn, I was sucking it up in the Crucible last night. :/ Just a couple days ago I was doing well with a few games of ~2.0 KDR and last night most of them were below .9 with a couple at .2 and .4. Maybe I was just too tired and shouldn't have been playing PvP.

Just gonna have to knock them out when I get off later today. Bungie really needs to up the amount of rep you get from these activities. Most patrols give you 10 rep while a strike gives you 14. Seriously?!? Who thought that was a fair idea.

The best is to do patrols while filling in bounties. Patrols that have you hunt down a mark give you 25 rep. You'll get a couple of those every hour at least.

Wow at the cap limit of 200. Another dumb as fuck decision by Bungie. They seem really hell bent on preventing as much fun as possible. Despite all the flaws, people were managing to enjoy some parts of the game, but it seems nothing is being done to address the glaring flaws and new ones just keep coming up.
I already "wasted" marks because I hit the 100 vanguard limit before yesterday, but because grinding rep is slow as fuck, I still can't even buy anything with my marks. Such a shitty, convoluted system. Oh I also got my first two legendary engrams and both rolled shit blues so now I am part of that fraternity of fun.
