Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Second-class citizen Firefox user here :(

:( Sorry man. It came down to either waiting to release both until tomorrow, or releasing the Chrome version tonight.

sweet, thanks!

for the firefox version, will it automatically update? or do i have to uninstall the previous version of ES and install the updated version?

As long as you have the latest version from http://firefox.enhancedsteam.com it will update itself automatically when it's released (based on your browsers preferences, etc)

Hey jshackles, I assume it's impossible to change the look if you're using the client and not a browser?

Usually I would recommend the "Standalone" version for this, but with the newest store update it's more or less rendered useless until I get it updated and I'm not even sure when I'll have the time to update it.

But yes technically it's possible. http://www.enhancedsteam.com/standalone/

A few small things I've noticed;

Not sure if it's a bug but the rounded corners on the DRM warning box looks out of place

And there's a problem with disabling the highlighting functionality, it seems to get rid of the dimming effect even when off.

Default:

ES with highlighting disabled:

Other then that it looks great, nice work man.

Thanks for the feedback. The rounded corners are on purpose because it was acting strange when those corners were blocked. In the next update I'll likely be removing this all together in favor of updating (and making red) Valve's existing warnings.

I'll look into the dimming thing though, I think I know what happened and it should be easy to fix.

Enhanced Steam for Google Chrome has been updated to version 6.7 which has been re-written to accommodate the new Steam store layout. With this update, a majority of the previous functionality Enhanced Steam users have come to know and love has been restored. Here is the official changelog:
  • Added: lots of stuff, basically it supports the new store
  • Updated: almost every existing function to account for the new store
  • Removed: A few things that are no longer required due to the new store
I've tried to bug-test this as thoroughly as time has allowed, but I thought it would be important to get this into people's hands as soon as possible. If you encounter a bug, please let me know.

Version 6.7 for Mozilla Firefox should be ready some time tomorrow unless any major bugs are encountered.

Thank you everyone for your patience!

Nice. I was missing the highlighting of stuff owned/on the wishlist.

I was hoping it would also remove the annoying text Valve added or at least turn it into a simple icon and move it away from the image, but it's a start.

Edit: I did a disable/enable and now the text is gone. Perfect!

Edit: Changed one color and the text is back in QQ

Weird, it should have removed those. It could be a language thing, I'll have to double-check. Thanks for the heads up!

I'm headed to bed everyone, so if you run into any issues feel free to PM me so I can be sure to get it.

If you really wanted the story to biuld up a little more before the ending, you had to collect the pieces for the murder cases. They tell the story about the city, the people that lived there and even the "modus operandi" of the cases.

I bothered with a decent amount and was not feeling like all of them would have been worth the overall effort. Since it wasn't the city or anything else I found lacking in the story. My biggest reasoning agaisn't the story was

How Abigail was the villain. Felt it was a pretty lame twist. Oh the first person you run into after you die did it! No amount of collectibles and back story is going to fix that and the fact that besides her there were only two other possible culprits. Both cops since no other characters really get built up within the game. Game would have benefited greatly from having started with you alive and dying half way through and continuing the investigation. Since then more characters could have been added as suspects and the idea they were going for could have been on a greater scale.

I want to shake the neck of the person who signed off on the filler defusing missions at the end of Batman Blackgate. Totally broke the pacing of the game and felt completely contrived. I guess I'll finish it tomorrow grumble grumble.

With that I agree 100%.
And she's not even a character you see in the crime scenes and stuff. You bump into her in the beginning of the game, then you see a short clip of her in the middle of the game and then they reveal she's the one. But I was "shocked" when she tells thst we killed the lady in the cemetery. That part was well done

Cock Encumbered
Well shit. The last few collectables bugged out on me on DLC4 for DR3, so I tried to restart from the beginning to collect them all from scratch. Unfortunately, apparently the collectables carry over across playthroughs, so I'm still exactly where I was, unable to get one of the only two achievements left in this game. I guess I should just quit now and just stop wasting any more of my time.

I had the same happen. The only way to fix it is by starting a completely new save apparently.

That was definitely the best part and what I wish the game would have had more of.

Thanks again for the gift shadow net I did enjoy it. Just expected more from such a cool concept.

I'm glad you somewhat enjoyed it. I haven't play it myself but from the look of it. It was a cool concept :) Hopefully in the future someone will expand on this. Ghost Detective stories are great.

I'm so cool my name split itself in two to contain the awesomeness.

Also in before someone tell me to go play Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective.
-----------
Just finished chapter 3 of Resident Evil Revelations.

The whole having to use Genesis to scan everything is so damn annoying.
Also, so far the gameplay is "aaaaalllright". I'm enjoying it more for the story honestly.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter seems to be a game like that

You don't have to remind me! 1 Day and 12 hours to go! #HYPEEEEE!

What!? Go play Ghost Trick! Everyone must experience Ghost Trick.

I already beat it. :p 3 times. Twice on the DS and once more when it came out on iOS. I wish they would do a sequel of it. Such a great concept and story.

oh god it's coming

i ain't paying 70 bucks for a game, not a fucking chance. any game that is 70 bucks is not getting bought day 1. 'cept the next elder scrolls.

I wouldn't worry too much, it's Ubisoft. If they really wanted to grow uPlay's population and satisfaction, they'd hold the line with US prices and update Steam so you don't have to run two clients (this is like the number one requested feature on uPlay forums, yet it's ignored), but they don't, so it's their loss. All we can do is hope after Yves is gone that there is someone more understanding, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Wonder if Ubi Montreal employees have had their family members complain about hikes, considering the taxes in Quebec...

And Canadians will find places for cheaper games, we always do.

I know, but since I already own the game and I have an account on that site too (with an additional key), I posted it here. No one wants to make new account, so if there's no interest in the key, it will simply lie unredeemed :)

Yah I agree....
Still if more than 1 people want the keys they can get that there..! :D

Nobody is truly going to buy $70, annualized titles, right?

I wonder how long it'll take for Ubi to decide that the PC market is moribund when they see these games failing to sell. Or that PC gamers have been "trained to expect unreasonably low prices". Anything but the fact that their stuff is unreasonably expensive.

nah - they'll just blame it on piracy ... as they always tend to do ;)

God knows if FFXV or a Tales game come out on Steam I'll buy it no matter the price.

I'm 99% sure I'll buy MGS V at full price anyway.

When can we start pre-loading Ethan Carter?

Reported!
And hey, at least the creator of this curator is on the Enhanced Steam group
Are we seriously reporting pages for making jokes?

The page may not be the funniest (some of them are... alright, most are bad), but it's clearly a dude trying to make a funny curation page just for the hell of it. It's guilty of nothing other than being pretty unfunny.

It's not like making a joke curator pages affects anything. It's no more or less bad than people who post joke user reviews. And that practice has been going on for as long as internet reviews have existed.

You don't think new games would move as many copies as TitS and FF13 did if they were $15 as well? It's a good price regardless.

I think with that low price, SE hoped to hooked some ppl on getting the sequel as well.
The game generating years bad words of mouth surely won't help sells it, even more if it was priced higher.

That is ridiculous. Ignoring why there needs to be a Canadian SKU in the first place, I don't think I care enough about gaming to pay that much for a yearly game of regurgitated "action". I haven't played EA games for years for similar reasons along with their games being riddled with technical issues and gameplay problems. I'm fairly sure I will consistently avoid UbiSoft games for similar reasons. Their loss

All games are $70 now in Canada. Our weak dollar gives them an excuse to bump up the price.

OT:
I don't think I ever watched an anime where things went from "oh well this is pretty funny" to "WTF that escalated quickly!" until now.
--------
Also more people need to get Sherlock Holmes Crimes and Punishments. the only person on my friends list that has it is Sub-Zero. You all should be...punished..

JaseC

gave away the keys to the kingdom.

I am weak.

Assassin's Creed Unity Gold
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Digital Deluxe Edition (RU+CIS)
Assassin's Creed 3 Deluxe Edition

I also pre-ordered Revelations, but it seems the DDE was an incentive, so the US price wouldn't have been north of $60.

It's been kinda off my radar for the most part. The last game in the series I played was Vs. Jack The Ripper. I enjoyed it well enough. I'll have to give the newest game a look and watch for impressions.

I might do a stream on it if my internet is good enough. But I thought Jack the Reaper was amazing for what my expectation was. I'm playing through The Testament of Sherlock Holmes as the moment.
