BREAKING: WEYLAND-YUTANI ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNERSHIP AND MORE
>SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 1, 2136
>Today the Weyland-Yutani Corporation (WLND) announced that it will be helping fund the Gateway Station project in cooperation with the ICC and ECA. The move is a bold one, as other commercial organizations have been weary of the government’s heavy involvement in the project. The unexpected partnership is likely to push other private companies to follow suit.
>In addition to the deal, Weyland-Yutani has also released some new details on the disappearance of the Nostromo. The commercial towing vessel was declared missing in action by Weyland-Yutani just over 13 years ago while en route to Earth from Thedus, carrying a refinery and around twenty million tons of mineral ore.
>The new details come in the form of a recently received transmission from a moon that is near the Nostromo’s last known location. Weyland-Yutani has refused to comment on what exactly the transmission included, but the company has given approval to a man named Curtis Hadley to begin the process of recruiting a search party that is to search the area on and around the moon.
>Weyland-Yutani has refused to give comment on the second detail, citing that they were still in the process of “verifying the source’s validity.” From what we have been told, the company is in the process of contacting the daughter of a crew member that was aboard the Nostromo. We are still unsure why the next of kin is being contacted, but we plan to keep a close eye on the story.
>END TRANSMISSION

Can't wait for this. The original Alien is one of my favorite movies. Can't wait to see all that 70s future tech.

I really, really hope this ends up being as good as I imagine it will be. Alien is my all-time favorite movie and I want a game to do it justice.

Excited to play this - but I'll be waiting for a price drop before I do. Just too much to play this year. Here's to a great game.

Great OT! Although I'm shocked the thread title isn't "Game over, man! Game over!"

I think all the "game overs" were used up by Colonial Marines... in more ways than one.

Lucky this game got made, looks visually aweomse, let's just hope it finally delivers the best alien game since Dead Space Alien vs Predator

Priority one
Insure purchase of game for analysis
All other considerations secondary
Reviews expendable

My big fear is that this will be short (4 hours short), I know the developers have touted 15 hours, but that has to be on the slowest play pace. If the average falls in 8-10 I will be happy.

I watched the original film yesterday to get ready, I'm pretty sure I watched it as a kid but it was basically like watching it for the first time.

October is gonna rock.

Hahaha, oh god, I forgot that game exists. That makes sense.

maybe tomorrow it rains
I keep telling myself I'll wait for feedback or reviews before picking this up, but I know I'm still going to get it on the 7th. I can't resist the Alien IP.

Awww yiss been waiting for the October edition of GAF magazine. Great OT, and I really hope this game doesn't suck. Please surprise me like Shadows of Mordor did!

The Steam equivalent of the drunk friend who keeps offering to pay your tab all night.
one of 2 games this year that I "need" to be good. The other being Evil Within obviously.

Fingers are so crossed that it'll be good.

I can't wait for Patrick's impressions/review on GB since he seemed just as excited as I am to play it, and his tastes line up with mine most of the time.

This looks like the Alien game many fans have been waiting for.
