Can you tell the difference between 30fps and 60fps?

http://massiveburrito.com/test/60vs30.html

This is pretty fun to pass the time.

This was shared in SteamGAF. Can you tell the difference?

Thought this would be fun to see how people do, no interest in frame rate arguments or any nonsense.

I got 10/11. Got suckered out by 7 Days to Die. I find it extremely easy to notice during swift camera movements.

Edit: This isn't really about whether you don't give a toss about 60fps. I was just wondering if people can in fact tell the difference.

Yes, play a racing game at 60 fps then go play one at 30 fps. You will see a difference.

Better yet play Mk8 with one or two players then play with 3 or 4 player.

Definitely more obvious in some games than in others...mainly the difficulty comes from the screens being next to each other...

Got 11/11

Ehm ... not on that page 5/11. I just see weird spasmic movements in the videos. But when playing even 50fps are bothering me ... very weird

EDIT: One video just runs twice as fast on my system ... -.- I don't get it. But well ... maybe the browser because every person sees the difference or has severe eye cancer

Easily, though I find it helps being able to look at each screen individually in the comparison. I just used my hand to cover up one or the other and got it right every time.

I used to be in the 'it doesn't matter as long as it is 30fps crowd', but the last few months have made a believer in 60fps. I just finished Metro Last Light on PS4 over the weekend, and 1080p with a locked 60fps is just too good.

That's one of the best demonstrations of the visual difference between 30fps and 60fps I've seen.

And doesn't even touch the actual 'hands on' impact it has.

of course-

BT-dubs:this is a reoccurring thread..you may as well add 'LTTP' to the title

edit:11/11 but maxpayne 3, portal were running like crap on both sides-I just chose the better looking one lol

Yes its extremely noticeable. And I hate it when console people try to justify 30 fps by saying "no and I don't care" because there is one hell of a difference and if you don't see it then you must be blind.

Yes. Once you see 60 FPS you will always be able to see the difference. Not that I give a damn. So long as what I'm looking at is smooth and the frame rate isn't dipping I'm content.

11/11. It's easy to tell, it's harder to care if the 30fps is done well. Forza Horizon 2 is a rock solid 30fps and while it'd be great if it was 60 I've never felt like I lost a race or had trouble controlling the car because it was 30.

In all media, only true fans who consume every book, film, game, or pog collection deserve to know what's going on.
Nope. Can't tell. 5/11

Yes.

I switched Shadow of Mordor back-and-forth between 30 and 60 and the difference is huge.

Edit: I went back to Castlevania Lords of Shadow on the 360 to try and finish it and it was not a nice experience having been playing the same game on the PC.

Edit 2: 11/11

Yes. But I don't really care if games have to be 30, just make sure it's rock solid.

Playing 60fps for a while then switching to 30 makes my eyes constantly want to correct themselves but I really don't care as much as some people on GAF.

Edit: Sorry, 10/11 (Got Trackmania wrong, the video stuttered so I thought it was 30)
