Why am I still getting static issues from the headset adapter? This is why I'm leaving the preview program. When it starts to hurt my enjoyment of my game time I'm not happy.

Being in the preview program not only means enjoying cool and new stuff first, but it also means taking it upon yourself to report these problems directly to the team or submitting them via the console's feedback app so that they're brought to the team's attention. Even a combination of both the feedback app and posting on the official preview forums is something I highly recommend. Maybe you've done these things already and I'm just saying all this for no reason, but if not, get on that!

MAN i had that for the longest time i recently plug it in (the controller into the USB port) 3 days ago and it updated and the damn crackling sound vanished

I updated my controllers long ago, and had no cracking issues since. Recently the preview OS has started up some new issues with controllers losing their connection and audio momentarily cutting out.

Nevermind, it does launch the app. Not sure what my issue with it before was

Doesn't seem to be. Hopefully the final October build fixes it, because I'm tired of having my controller stop working mid race.
In fact, I've now had it happen twice where the audio starts cutting out, then the controller disconnects from the console for a moment, and then it reconnects, and i can resume playing. However, the audio is gone. So I turn off the controller and turn it back on, and it appears to be on, but I can't control the console and the audio is still gone. I then attempt to re-sync the controller, and it's the same thing. Looks like the controller is on, but the console isn't responding to my inputs. Even tried turning on another controller I have, same thing.
Only a hard reset fixed it. This October update has really annoyed me. Looking forward to being out of the preview program soon.

I need to ask this because its bugging the shit out of me. On the old versions it used to have a panel on the left with your gamerpic and some info like messages and achievement score.
Have they removed this or is my dash glitched? It's annoying that I have to keep going through Settings to access my profile and other bits.

They just moved it to the right of the store ads to make it part of the freinds tab... I personally thought it looked better on the right
They removed it. Go over to the looping friends tile and press A. Or highlight your name at the top of the screen and select it there.
They removed that. The rightmost tile serves the same purpose.

I've had the same problem crop up a couple times as well... Also a few other wierd little issues that caused me to hard boot my console... I'm not at the point you are at with leaving the preview program and I wouldn't want to give up early access to the snap center right now to save myself from these technical glitchs but if it comes to the point where the technical issues are not worth the trade off then I'll be opting out too.

Cant you just turn down music and FX UP in game settings, then turn down main app in the sound mixer?
Its not exactly like custom sound tracks, but its close enough.
I do it all the time with youtube.
My bet is on Tuesday. Can't wait to see what they have in store for next month.

They're finally admitting that there's an issue with controllers desyncing. At least, the forum support is, after a huge thread of complaints.
People say it started with last month's update, but I've had the issue since Day One. It was said that it was my controller, so I got it replaced. Then that replacement was defective, so I got another. Then, it was my console, so I'm now on #3, which is doing the exact same thing.
It's been driving me crazy.

Hey guys I'm not in the preview program (though if anyone wants to chuck an invite to Hobohodo 25 then I'd appreciate it) but just wondering if anyone has had this issue on the dashboard before.
When I go over to the store tab none of the 'featured' tiles are loading. Instead I just get the small tiles for each store category and then an entire screen of empty space. I've tried signing in and out and hard resetting but still no tiles. What makes it odd is that my girlfriends account still displays these tiles when she is signed in to her account so I guess it's tied to my account somehow?
Anyone else had this issue, or does anyone have a fix?

My friend who is in the preview had this issue earlier today, not sure if it fixed itself or not. You could try RT+LT +Y to refresh the dash and see if that fixed it?
As I'm a nice kinda guy, i've sent you an invite to the preview for the inconvenience of these issues. Im not sure what the uptake is these days on the previews but hopefully they'll let you in.

I'm in the preview and although it's not quite the same thing as you, I'm having an issue where the Friends tab keeps appearing and disappearing from the dash whenever it feels like.
Yeah, thats sucks. I also controller gets disconnection . Hope they fix it in the final release .

If I'm gaming late at night I'll use my headphones so that I won't disturb others, however I need the Xbox One to output stereo for that to work (normally have it in 7.1). So I'll need to go into the settings and set it to stereo every time I want to use my headphones and put it back to 7.1 when I want to enjoy sound via my surround system.
The PS4 automatically switches the audio output format based on the mode of my receiver. They're both connected exactly the same way. Why doesn't the Xbox One does this yet
