Yeah, and after you use the two (???) that you get, you'll never use them again because Flash, Harpoon, Exploding and even Lightning are better. I do think the shotgun is a nice advantage though. At least on Akumu where you really have to conserve your shots. This lets you carry more ammo early on before many upgrades into the regular shotgun.

Chapter 10 boss :(

I've got the first phase down to a science, flash bolt when he's searching, then throw a grenade on top of him about four times, then unload rifle/shotgun into him.

But then I'm having trouble after that, his eye only comes out for a brief second when he's running at you, making it too hard for me to hit, and I can't stand around too long, but then I can't lose him and he drains my sprint and gobbles me up. Gah, he is scary fucker.

What I don't understand is,
why the fuck is he unleashing the guy and then going on to do what he wants to do? lol shit is frustrating. He even had a torch but then dropped it to go in for a stealth kill, he probably didn't experiment with it by that I mean you could burn a monster with the damn thing. Also, he didn't explore the entire place so still NO CROSSBOW.

Just reloaded four times to see if I can get more gel out of the lockers - got flash bolts every time. The game is trying to tell me something.

I found the second pattern easier than the first. He runs but then pauses for a second or two to jump in for a bite so once he pauses, you move immediatly and then continue shooting. Rinse and repeat.

Stop running away from him in the 2nd phase. Run AT him diagonally to dodge his pounce, then quickly turn around and unload whatever you have because he'll be facing the wrong way attempting to turn back to you.

To some extent atleast, reloads will get you different things from the same locker. Not sure if it's all pulling from the same table or not(so everyone would have the same amount of gel pickups and stuff via opening every locker), that would be really hard to test for without actually getting every single key without opening a locker, and going through it a few times making note of what comes out.

Yeah, the chat being in sub only mode makes it hard to clear up the amount of misinformation that Joe is spreading when he simply doesn't understand something in the game or is doing something wrong.

so sad to read that, why is it that always the worst players are the most famous? i mean i don't have anything against pewdiepie, but the man can't play shit, at least he doesn't make reviews regarded highly as angryjoe

I don't know, guys. I really like the art, but the game seems as if RE4 shot itself in the foot, and whilst stumbling around, decided to be Silent Hill for Halloween. I don't think RE4 was a good framework for horror. The action mechanics and funneling the player through environments lessens the intimate sense of dread one gets with the environment in something like REmake. On the other hand, it doesn't play as well as 4.

I really don't get why people have such a hard time with the game. AJ could make it so much easier for him if he just would go to save directly before he encounters the boss. USE YOUR HAD JOE GODDAMMIT.

People love a train wreck. Also YouTubers who are popular are usually because they know how to entertain a certain crowd. Not actually know how to play videogames. Sucks but what can ya do?

Edit2: The stream was linked 3 hours ago and he was at the end of it so I'm pretty sure it took this dude like 4 hours to beat this single chapter. I don't even.

Because the character threw away the chainsaw instead of keeping it as a weapon. I feel the same way actually, but it wouldn't work in this game to have a chainsaw. Way too OP. But it is definitely immersion breaking.

completed the first two chapters earlier before I had to quit, game is hella fun but I'm not a fan of how the camera is, I feel like I'm up the MC's ass.

Holy shit, AJ is useless at this! Those pictures above make me sad, not even playing it theirselves, letting some gimmick YouTuber decide for them.

Just finished Chapter 12 last night, and played a little of 13. Fuck Chapter 11, just fuck it. Those water sections, the gun zombies, gas section, hated all of that.

This game is pretty amazing. I'm only up to chapter 6 despite having it for about 4 days now and I'm liking it more and more.

I hated chapter 1 (but will probably find it better on replays/in context with the rest of the game) but by halfway through chapter 2 I was liking it, then by chapter 3 I was sold.

I took so long on chapter 3 that it basically started to feel like that was the whole game... but I didn't ever get frustrated about it because the environment feels so alive and the level design is so intricate that it's a lot of fun to get "stuck" on one big area like that and really learn the whole environment like you would in say REmake. Still definitely a highlight of the game so far for me but chapter 5 and 6 have had their moments as well.

Weirdly though I don't feel compelled to "marathon" this game like I would most other games I really like, it feels better to me to play an hour or two at a time and then come back to it a fair while later, maybe I'd just find it too draining to play it in longer sessions like I would other games. Or it could be the lack of story/characters making me less compelled to see what happens next and more content to just enjoy it for the art direction and awesome gameplay...

Still wish the letterbox thing wasn't an issue but I'm playing on a 32" screen and am getting a 50" (or maybe even 55") TV soon which should make it much less of one. I know the claustrophic kind of feel from the bars will remain somewhat, at least it should feel better when the amount of screen space that is in use will be bigger than my old TV's whole screen.

and the super crossbow of doom isn't? Just give it a super limited amount of gas and make it hard to use.

was a nice change of pace in a way because you
couldn't fire your gun and if you got caught it was like "oh shiz!" lol.
I only died I think once or twice in there though.

I wouldn't take these guys personally. I clicked on the game to see who was streaming it and I noticed a lot of people new and old. It will be a mixed bag of opinions and opinions of their followers. I can't gravitate over such a democracy like that. It's great being the dictator, but where do you go when your leader hates a game you like?

I don't mind seeing the person who bought a six pack and the game sitting out in the open. They did do me a favor for playing Watch Dogs, but to my point. I have to be with a range of a survival horror majority.

OK, so I finally caved and bought this game. So far, I'm having a blast. I really like the atmosphere and that so far (I'm at chapter 3) there was no "cheap horror" in the form of jump scares (really dislike those since they are the cheapest and the most unimaginative way of scaring players).

I like everything about this game, but man, the aspect ratio is killing me. My worst enemy so far are black bars. They obstruct so much of the screen and they are quite annoying.

Other than that, the game is really fun. Oh and chapter 3 feels totally like
the beginning of RE4
.

BTW, I almost missed the Crossbow. If that happened, can you find it again, later in the game?

Chapter 11 is not fun.

I enjoyed the game from 3-9 (had a bit of an issue with 6 but it was ok), but I hated 10, and 11 is no better. Hope they step it up for the end.
