Guys, hi. Each day I have less and less things to talk about, since I've been a little busy and I have made no progress on my problems so far, but I just wanted to say that at least I haven't had a crush for a while, which is good.

Transformers Age of Extinction is the lowest rated 'bots film on RT? Bullshit. It's easily better than two and three and probably better than the first one as well. I feel like it was mainly trashed due to the hate bandwagon that everyone (to be fair, rightfully) jumps on whenever one of these movies comes out.

It was pretty entertaining for what it was, and despite being way too long, wasn't boring and didn't have robot ball sacks or racist rap bots.

Oh yeah and it had mutha fuckin' DINOSAURS!!!!!!!! FUCK YES

Ratsky.....no....just no. There's only one TF movie to care about and that's the one that came out in 1986

Crushes aren't bad per say. It's crushes that you can't do anything about that hurt. Like crushing on straight guys.

You only really love old stuff.

Personally I think "crush" always points to a kind of stasis. It's protracted longing, unless you're using it in the colloquial sense of just liking someone, which I will do sometimes even though those 'crushes' live as long as mayflies for me and thus don't really deserve to be called that.

ever tried adderall?

I don't take medications unless there's an immediate and compelling medical reason.
One of my parents is addicted to prescription painkillers.

I didn't like that one either. Even more blatantly merchandise-driven than the Bay films.

And indeed. The worst what-if is the impossible one staring you in the face.

Do trataka. Cut out a white triangle and paste it on a black background, stare at it making your gaze steady until you acquire a retinal afterimage, then close your eyes and make the afterimage steady (it will want to move around, warp or change shape, blink in and out, etc) and persistent for longer and longer stretches of time. You can develop really strong concentration this way, and as a side effect your ability to create mental images will be improved which will help with writing. Also going into enstatic/absorptive trances.

Speaking of crushes, when is my crush going to text me confessing his love for me? Every time I receive a text I always think it says it's my crush confessing his feelings for me, I also say creepy shit such as "he's my boyfriend, he just doesn't know it". I might have an unhealthy obsession.

if no one does this i will. you can have custom messages from your contact be received by what you set. basically if they text just to say hi it would read a custom message like "OMG I LIKE YOU. LETS CUDDLE" or whatever. of course the original will still be received. just archived. (y)

Interesting. Could this still work if I have a habit of going cross-eyed?

Well I have a lot of other problems to take care of first

Like having bad acne
and being ugly
and rude
and socially awkward
and having a speech impediment
and smelly
and having dandruff
and getting phlegm when I eat any food
and being unemployed
and wanting to buy more anime figures

Basically I'm the protagonist of a Bukowski novel.

I'm not sure, I want to say that it would probably still work if you can develop a single clear afterimage to focus on. This takes practice, but as long as you're kind of in the area you know you're on the right track. I know when I do it there's a balance between not staring really intently or rigidly which is agitating and makes it hard to maintain a steady gaze, and not relaxing so much that my eyes unfocus completely and I just get two fuzzy double images. You can try using a candle in a dark room and gazing at that, you can get an afterimage pretty quickly using a candle. Working with a colored shape is better for maintaining the integrity of the after image (candle flames don't really have a shape, they sway and flicker, etc, triangles have clearly defined points and lines), but you can get a general feel for it a lot quicker using something like a candle.

more info pls

It's basically like any other form of meditation, you're just using a visual object. You try to relax as much as possible while maintaining mental alertness or wakefulness. In a way you do the same sort of thing with your eyes. Relax and partially close them so they don't dry out too quickly, but deliberately focus them at the same time on the focal point. Your eyes will water and tears will stream down your cheeks but try to resist blinking for as long as possible (discomfort is to be expected, pain not so much) or the stability of your gaze will shift every time you blink and it will be hard to get a well defined after image. Once you acquire an after image actually keeping it from moving all over the place is the hard part. You get better at all this stuff with time. But what's cool about it is the practice has many self-regulating systems in place. Your concentration wanes? The after image disappears (etc).

At this point the iPhone 4 would be four hardware refreshes behind the current line and totally not worth it going forward. I don't know if I'd recommend the 2DS but the 4 would not be worth your money.

Btw, Rayis, want to play smash right now? Like, right now, right now

Edit: Nvm. Asking in other thread now

Oops, i'm sorry, I didn't see this until now, we've yet to play Smash even though I have had you added for a long time, we need to schedule like sometime to play or something, I'll be off all day tomorrow (more like today) so if we can find a time to play Smash, it'd be great!

Most of those are similar to me. D:

The bad acne has fortunately gone for the most part, but I'm my late 20s.

I don't think I smell, fortunately, and I haven't had a huge issue with dandruff, but you should probably find better shampoos or something.

Plastic surgery and chemical peels probably cost a lot. (emo)

Understood. I think I'll try it tomorrow night.

I think the others are a lost cause though.

I was joking about the smelly part. I use anti-dandruff shampoos, It's just that I have problems controlling how long I'm in the shower and consequently don't wash and condition my hair as often as I should (1 or 2 times a week).

Might also have to do with my eating habits, come to think of it.

Most of the time I feel as if I don't fit in with the LGBT community.

Edit:

Your first mistake is that you think that there's "one" LGBT community.

Very true. There are many groups and subgroups within the LGBTQIA community.

Interesting. Could this still work if I have a habit of going cross-eyed?

Oh acne... It's a never winning battle for some (like me). No matter what I eat, or what creams I use (like proactiv and Neutrogena etc...) I'll still have acne breakouts. I've tried all sorts of things and the acne doesn't go away. What helps control my acne is to get enough sleep, eating healthy, exercising, and washing your face constantly. If I stress out, and don't get enough sleep the acne gets worse.

I don't know, I feel JRPGs especially are something universally liked with their mix super-cute animals and giant, monstrous demons. It mixes a lot of themes and that why it attracts so many people. Especially Final Fantasy and newer series like Bravely Default or Fantasy Life.

I sometimes have heard about the Ys series but never actually played it. I believe I bought one of the games once on Steam, Ys Origins, I believe. Is that more of a niche series?
JRPGs universally liked? I want to move to this magic world. The genre definitely doesn't hold nearly the clout it used to. It's improved a bit lately, but JRPGs are still very much in niche land. (Even Final Fantasy isn't what it used to be in terms of popularity.)

As for Ys, it's an amazing series and I highly recommend it. It relatively unknown outside of hardcore RPG fans, but it has a very positive rep among those that have played it.

I'm not sure, how does SSB run on iPhone 4?

Agreed on this. I've played waaaay too many hours of this game, all the while grumbling about how much I hate the controls. (goddammit I didn't meant to tilt I meant to walk forward a little and pick up that damn masterball...fuck me I threw it off the stage). It's great.

Source for the gif? Is it from a game? Hilarious anyway, reminds me of the L.A. Noire one with the guy dropping down a flight of stairs.

I stumbled upon the gif yesterday so I'm not sure where it's from. Tried reverse image search, but it didn't give any substantial results (other than the other forums and blogs it was used in). Yeah, it's just like that L.A. Noire gif, lol
(I really disliked that game, btw)

And thanks to everyone who responded to my giant wall of text, the text I got from Neil was supportive and he said he was "all for it." He also said thanks for taking his feelings into account, and that he appreciated it. Definitely made my day. And now I can date this boy with all the powers combined. Yayyy

Yeeeeeeeeesss!

Like this group for instance...

I think people tend to forget that not all of the LGBTQIA community is like what people think it is, and were not all like how the media tries to portray us as either.
I was just using this as an example, but yeah there are a lot of subgroups within the community as a whole.

Shame, I like some of these "crappy" games with goofy animations. Yeah, L.A. Noire is not all that great outside of the face animations.

Really old stuff? TF isn't really old stuff :,(
It's 30 years old, it's really old for a movie.

I mean that all kinds of people from all walks of life play it, not talking about the number of people who play them, which probably decreased since JRPGs seem to struggle to keep up in pace with graphics and player freedom which WRPGs have and they don't.

I'll install Ys then.

What disappointed me the most was the fact that it felt like the game was on autopilot. OK, I might be wrong since I never finished the damn thing, but for the first couple of hours, I felt like all I had to do was hold space and use the WSAD keys for movement, tbh.

Motion capture was amazing, though.

Yeah I loved and hated LA Noire at the same time. I couldn't wrap my head around it I guess. Part of me liked that it was basically an interactive Hollywood movie and the other part of me sort of didn't enjoy the gameplay. lol

Yeah, my family struggles a lot with it.

I've had to take a pharmaceutical for mine. That and along with starting to eat a bit better are actually helping at least. I only seem to get a new pimple once a week as opposed to every other day.

I'm bad at that

Cold...Showers...? Does not compute.

And thanks. I haven't actually read his (or much of any) fiction though. Most of my pop-culture knowledge is through osmosis.

I didn't mention anything about sex. We were talking about improving concentration and I was attempting to prove why it wasn't urgent enough to resort to Psychoactive drugs.
