In my contiuning trend of getting awesome items I wanted for other classes but never got while actually playing them, this dropped for me when I was playing with SerpentMage (who is also super cool and gave me a rad cold SoJ and Utrayu for my DH)

I'm running Crusader right now and my cooldown is still not where I want it to be so I'm definietely not going to use it at the moment, but in terms of giving this to other characters I'm wondering if it would actually be better to roll the Slash % off for Vit or AR as opposed to a primary stat for whatever class I gave it to? Not having any Vit or AR would be a super bummer, and given that it already rolled great IAS/CHD wondering if it'd be better off just losing the primary stat for Vit anyway.

Same. Kinda weird that I immediately burned out as soon as I got the last item I wanted for my main. I had started a new 70 but knowing how long it took an average person to get the best items is just so discouraging. At least with my main, which I've already dumped hundreds of hours into, it might be worth it to keep trying, but to start that whole process over again? Nah.

This is how it is for me too. As soon as I got my Furnace and got the highest I could realistically get on leaderboards (without cheese hunting for conduits), I have mostly given up. Sure, I could get a much better Furnace and get a lot more damage, but am I willing to put in 200 hours to find another one?

I thought about going for other super rare items that I still need (Winter's Flurry, Woh). I can't even use those for cosmetic purposes though, so not sure what the point is.

Exact thing that happened to me, got the Furnace... didn't feel the need to keep on grinding anymore.

Finally got TnT last night. Rolled really well except I missed the trifecta . Ended up with something like 748dex, 7%attack, 50% pet damage and I rolled something into 44% CHD. Just missing the CC, oh well still better then no TnT. Funny thing is after gambling around 5k shards over past month or so on my DH I got it within first 500 shards spent on my Monk looking for SWK gloves, which I also got within that same 500. Poor rolls though.

You're better off with a good RoRG and a Cindercoat (assuming Furnace weapon) for group play. The resource reduction works nice with Blizzard with how fast group play can get.

I always take unity off and switch the gem to RoRG in group play and not worry about it.

I'm already using that.. :v I always use Cindercoat and RoRG. The only things I change out are the ring (if someone is wearing a Unity) and putting on Nemesis Bracers.

I'm pretty well geared now (aside from no SoJ/gem in ammy), but I'm struggling with bad orange/red latency and this is screwing me over because I can't do Greater Rifts anymore. Gonna contact my ISP today and yell at them or something.

New stuff is confirmed at Blizzcon but I expect that Blizzard isn't going to reveal anything soon other than making vague teases.

Honestly I've always found the multiplayer in Civ games to be pretty terrible for a lot of reasons, single player only for me.

Yeah, I'd go single player or local co-op. I played a fair amount of competitive multiplayer in Civ V (had something like 600 hours in) but I'll be sticking with single player this time around. I'll probably fire up Cheat Engine and blow through it pretty quickly just to see the content. Hopefully they've sorted out the multiplayer performance/stability problems for people this time.

Yeah, I don't think things will pick up again until season 1 ends and we're all in the same playfield. Even then, there isn't too much incentive to keep playing right now .

So I had something happen that I'd never seen before. You know how sometimes when you break a loose stone a skeleton will pop out? Yesterday I broke a loose stone and a whole blue champ pack of four skeletons popped out.

Got kinda bored so I decided to switch my game into Chinese. The voices are hilarious and nothing makes much sense (aside from the Kanji used in Japanese as well).

But some of it makes more sense in Chinese than English. For example, the Firebird's set is called "不死鳥" which translates into "Phoenix Bird" in Japanese.
Sounds way more cooler than just "Firebird"!

How high do you guys get your trial keystones? I guess I am wondering if everyone has to RNG grind through the tougher rifts in order to upgrade keystones or if people are capable of getting a 42-44 key from trials.

NVIDIA just added Dynamic Super Resolution (supersampling) support for pre-970/980 GPUs.

I'll give a shot with D3 later. I have a Titan and didn't have any luck with GeDoSaTo. Should be a nice improvement if it works.

Edit: works fine. The game has to be in fullscreen mode, not borderless windowed. After enabling it in GEForce Experience, the 4K resolution is available when choosing your fullscreen resolution in game.

I tried taking some screenshots, but they're taken at the 4K resolution so they don't really show what I see on screen after the GPU's downsampling to 1080p.

Overall I'm not looking at anything closely enough to warrant the extra GPU fan noise, so I took it back to 1080p/120.

Once things merge back, leaderboards will be insane to try and break through. That will kill my motivation.


It would be interesting if they made a different playstyle/build OP each season. That way you could gear differently than what you have already been doing repeatedly.

I've noticed that when I reached the full firebird with the wizard and started rising through the GRs I lost interest in the character. Same happened with the Crusader once I got the horsies build going.

At this point I'm done with the game. Running the same content all over again got me this far though, that's commendable. RoS achieved it's objectives for me. If there's ever an expansion I'd definitely play it though.

DSR is pretty cool with D3. Just remember to turn down the DSR - smoothness in the NVIDIA control panel. The default they have makes the downsampled image look way too blurry, at least for my taste.
Also I'd be curious if downsampling resolutions other than 3840x2160 look right for you with D3 using DSR, because for me the other downsampling resolutions fuck up the text.

Yup, I just went straight to 4X with 0% smoothness. The higher quality text was the first thing I noticed, actually.

Just tried it with 1440, 1527 and 1620 and I get the same messed up text you're talking about.

Still holding out for the Asus ROG Swift (if they ever get more in stock), but it was fun to try. I can hold about 100FPS at 4K, so I should be good for 1440p/120 with ULMB.

I'm not so sure how much longer I'm gonna play this game.. The biggest reason right now I'm still there is because I haven't really found another game to spend my time on. D3 has a lot of aspects I like but I've grown very bored of it. I do really hope we get some new things soon. Not nevessarily changes, just something more to keep us there.

But like Bombless said, I have gotten bored of gearing up.. I have 4 classes at 70, 2 which have no gear but I don't even desire to play them. But I really love this game so it's hard to just drop all the time and effort I put into it and walk away. I don't *want* to leave, so I'm still here for now. lol

It's truly hard to think of cool things they could add to the game without consequences of many negative aspects of it (why it wouldn't work, etc). Would PvP be cool? Yes! Would the way THEY implement PvP be cool? I dunno..

Can't stomache playing anymore until something new comes which is probably the next expansion. I'm probably not the only one because last weekend there were like 5 ppl online.

Leg gems just aren't interesting, greater rifts are copy paste with +%hp/dmg, and seasons are a joke.

So.. my last record was Tier 30 (Wiz) and I BARELY made it (I think it took me like 14min). Today I wasn't actually lagging like I always do so I did a new 30 and managed to shave off 5 minutes! That's a lot of time.. So I upgraded to 32, and did that in less time than my previous 30 record.

Hoping my connection stays good today, I wanna go for 35 tonight. Not sure if I can do that.. but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to hit at least 33 or 34.

Also thanks to joey for suggesting Illusionist and Glass Cannon, I was too afraid because of the Res loss. Way more vulnerable now but I'm learning to kite much better now! I'm happy with my Elite kill time (for now) but I need to fix my trash mob time, that's what takes time.

Edit: Failed a 33 GRift because of that shitty poison throwing RG.
Had to dodge so much I couldn't throw constant damage at him.

The hassle of getting a new 33 key... bleh.

On the topic of an expansion I will say that if there is another one I do hope they either don't increase the level cap or find a way to scale up gear, because, this isn't really like a MMO where you need to reset gear and put everyone on the same playing field again when there is new expansions. Gear is progression in D3 not levels, but if they increase the level cap again then all of our gear becomes obsolete as a side effect. It wasn't as much of an issue going from vanilla to RoS because gear wasn't a huge component of the game like it is now, but, it would be pretty annoying if there was another expansion. Like literally all of the gear on our characters and in our stash would be better off salvaged, except that there would probably be new crafting materials anyway so you may as well just vendor that stuff instead.

Only way I could see a gear reset acceptable is if they made sweeping changes to the stat system again, which I would actually be alright with.

Oh god, if they increase the level cap to 80 like they did with WoW: BC, I'm gonna start crying and then call it quits. Unless they invent some kind of magical item that lets you upgrade your gear with a x% increase of each stat to match up with lvl 80..

I haven't played WoW since Wrath and frankly, I don't remember much, but don't they have Tier gear sets with each level cap increase? That sounds like a decent way of working it out, except that it isn't how D3 works at all.. and implementing it sounds like it would be a huge mess.
