Nintendo's sending download codes for a special Halloween theme for the 3DS. Looks like it's the 3rd Halloween theme that Japan got last week.

This code will expire at 23:59 UK time on October 30th 2014. You can re-download the theme without charge, if needed, from October 31st 2014, 11:00 UK time, when it becomes available as paid content to the general public.

Just installed it, and this is the main problem with the theme. I have every icon visible on the touch screen, so the cat ends up entirely covered by them, and the top screen is quite unremarkable.

The music is nice though, but I think I'll switch back to one of the default themes.

Nice of Nintendo to give away a theme, though.
