It was an awful layout, for real. Thankfully adjustments were made and last year was the first time I can remember actually being able to breathe in the BYOC. Hopefully that's something that gets better next year, not worse.

I actually don't mind the Paris, only issue is it being a bit of a walk to the ballroom.
This is actually the most accurate prediction in this thread.
If it ever comes down to that, wouldn't Nintendo prefer Evo use Smash 4?

Man, if it really does come down to one of UNIEL/BB/P4A for the second anime game, that is going to get ugly.
The more important question here is if the ballrooms Evo is in are on Bally's side or on Paris' side. :x

UMVC3 - Lock but probably will not get 2nd highest attendance this year
Smash 4 or Melee - At least one Smash is going to be a lock. It's either going to be both or Smash 4. I am leaning towards just Smash 4 but we'll see
GGXrd - Lock
Highly likely:
KI Season 2: Possible money hats but who knows.
BBCP: Good showing at EVO 2014 (ie. the KOF effect) might lock in BBCP for EVO 2015 as well.
Less likely:
Injustice: Low attendance and MKX might take precedence. I am completely 50/50 on Injustice to be honest.
DOA5: Ultimate battle: DOA5 hasn't made it in yet and each year it looks less and less likely. I feel that if Tecmo opens up the purse it might happen although for all intents and purposes... TFC has become the EVO of DOA.
TTT2: Attendance has been poor and attention has been diverted to T7. Won't make it in 2015, T7 will make it in 2016. Will have to settle for Final Round as its EVO.
KOFXIII: Attendance has been poor and there was no super exciting matches in EVO last year as compared to previous years. There is no legitimate reason KOF should be at EVO anymore.

BBCP console is waiting for the patch/new retail version/whatever that'll make it so people can play BBCP 2.0. it's in the same position as Tekken
Objectively speaking... Injustice has the same chance of KOF in terms of not being at EVO. In fact I would say that Injustice has LESS of a chance than KOF due to not only less attendance at EVO but also because of MKX.
It could open up 3 potential slots at EVO. Right now I only have these games as being a good chance for EVO line up:

It's unclear how that's going to come about in the future. I really meant to emphasize that the public doesn't even know if it'll be a patch or a new retail game. I'm not even sure if we'll know by January time, which is when the games are supposed to be announced

Me personally I think P4A2 will get replaced by something else but we'll see.
Yeah, but I think the scene warrants it at the moment. And I think there's room since I highly doubt any 3D game makes it in.
Edit: I should say that I'm also assuming BBCP 2.0 comes out before Evo. If it doesn't, replace BBCP with UNIEL.

I love the game and I don't think it has the faults that a lot of people who don't play it claim it does, but I'm also not delusional. P4A at Evo actually had a pretty good turnout, but it's real unlikely P4AU makes it on the big stage this time around.
Did you stay for five nights? I looked up my bill from last year and it was $444.64 for four nights. I don't think that's too bad as long as you have a full room (and knowing how poverty FG people are, they'll stuff 10 people in a normal hotel room).

USF4, UMvC3, SSB4, MKX and GGXrd are pretty much locks at this point. The current version of KI is pretty likely as well. I think Injustice, TTT2 and KoF XIII are all dropped. BBCP is probably the hardest game to predict -- it really depends on when 2.0 comes out on console and how many players it brings back. DoA5:LR is an interesting dark horse, but I don't think this game has a big enough tournament-going player base, especially out of the couple of events where it sees some strength. P4AU and UNIEL I think really come down to if either game (or both?!?) can sustain a significant playerbase.
I would watch the numbers at NEC for the anime fighters.
I think SSBM is a real wild card -- it depends on how many players end up moving to SSB4 (remember, for a couple of years after Brawl came out it was still the bigger game -- and that game was wack) and if Nintendo is going to let that rock at all. Never mind the logistics of getting all those CRTs and Gamecubes for the event. -_-
Personally, I think it ends up like this -- if we're assuming 8 games.

It's not unprecedented -- at one point, Evo 2010's lineup was set to be half anime fighters (BBCT, MBAA, TvC -- BBCT got swapped for MvC2, so it still holds.

I think MKX is a lock and Injustice has a 50/50 chance. I figure it depends on if they're sticking with a large lineup or scaling back. If they're going to have 10+ games then Injustice makes sense. It'd be small but it overlaps with MKX. Personally I want it to get that third farewell year like MK9 got. I'd practice and try to do well.
The big question is which system is MKX played on if it makes it. I could see them running it on Xbox One since they'd have the systems for Killer Instinct. I just started playing that game semi seriously with season 2 so I'd like to see that make the cut.

The problem with this is that MKX and KI can't overlap if you're using the same consoles for both games. If they're gonna buy additional XBOs for MKX then it makes just as much sense to buy PS4s. If MS sponsors again then, yeah, XBO.
I just want the game on the platform that it plays best on (minus PC cause that's a hassle), no more "MK9 on PS3" days.

I think you're right on the XB1 being console of choice due to KI. Saves them money and I don't think MKX will have huge console/PC differences. I trust NRS on PC for everything but netcode.
I want to make EVO one year, but I'm PC only now so could only theoretically enter two games (Ultra and MKX), and I'm dealing with a horrid situation at work where we're understaffed due to some BS, which has cost me many events over the years. I probably could tell my supervisor that he'll have to work for me, but I promised myself I'd never put FGs over making money. I've seen too many folks who did that end up losers in life and in the brackets.
