All those poor people buying a blurry broken game that runs like dogshit. My condolences.

Can't wait for the PC version which was funded by the ignorant masses! Much appreciated!
You are annoying, I had a great fun with GTAV on PS3 and i don't regret it, have fun waiting some more cause Rockstar treats your platform like shit :)

And people really think they will only sell 1-2 million on PS4/XB1 looool.
I know. There's going to be a lot of people double dipping just because its going to be "better" on next gen. Boggles my mind when someone says GTA V ain't going to do huge numbers this next month

What did Dent say?

So looking forward to playing this on PS4. Glad i resisted the urge to buy for my 360/PS3 at the time - took a leap of faith it would arrive on next gen consoles

To pass 50m by next year? Dunno if it'll catch Minecraft to take over 3rd all-time but it'll probably pass the last two Mario games pretty soon.

This is probably just confirmation bias, but I don't see the next gen versions topping 5 million lifetime. 34 million on two consoles SHOULD cover the vast vast majority of potential buyers out there.

I didn't buy the game last year simply because I hated playing any racing elements with my dualshock 3. I will probably get the game in early 2015 for next gen because I do want to play it, but I don't hear anybody in my circle of friends and players that are even talking about it.

All deserved, I had a lot of fun with it. Even put some solid hours into the online and got to like level 40 or something. I'll double dip after I pick up an x1

This may be my GOTY two years running..

Pretty impressive considering it hasn't even had its PC release yet, its about to get another big boost when that happens.

Massive.

A part of me is down though because it means they'll never bother to fix the jank.

Id grab it on PS4 if they fixed the jank.

Do you not think we'll see something from Rockstar holiday 2015?

Rockstar usually aims for Summer releases if they can help it. Considering we haven't heard a peep about what they're currently working on other than the Bully composer saying he worked on a Bully 2 soundtrack like 5 years ago(and he could have just thought it was Bully) we're not gonna see anything in 2015. I'd be shocked to see R* announce something and release it in the same year. We MIGHT hear about what their next project is by the end of 2015. MIGHT.

So with overall costs of 265 Million (development, marketing) - How much Money did they gain with 34 Million copies sold?
Little over 2 billion in revenue. Once platform holders, retailers, etc... take their cut, Take2 probably walked away with around 1.2 billion. Pretty good for an initial investment of 265 million.

And they are only gonna see more money.

You are not making sense, the game is still selling today,

Damm....They could nearly make 5 GTA Games with that money!

I personally wouldn't expect it. That'd be a very fast turnaround for Rockstar given that they don't have anything announced at the moment aside from GTAV. Last gen they announced RDR in February 2009 and then released it in May 2010. But it usually took years for a game to release after it was announced.

10 million more than GTA IV? I don't even know how that's possible, but kudos to Rockstar.

Well the user base is more important 7/8 years after the release of the hardware.

Throughout this gen (or the next 2-3 years until RD3) they can sell 10 millions new units (excluding PC)

I understand your train of thought, and that's one of the things I like about Rockstar, they generally release games when they're ready to be released. i'm hoping RDR2 is going to drop next, but the chances of that happening, and especially in 2015 seem slim, at best

Rockstar's best game. The greatest GTA ever made. Hell, one of the finest video games ever created full stop. It deserves that crazy amount of units sold.
