Capcom are always late chasers of trends, no wonder they got in this position

I don't want the employees of Capcom to suffer, I want the big wigs running the show to leave business permanently.

Capcom are this generation's THQ, I worrry. They're running out of rope.

They haven't even hired an outright replacement to Dawgtanian for SF community management in Europe. They ran interviews, but never actually hired anyone. Why?

They never have rope to begin with, they honestly hate games.

Hopefully the development staff and IPs find a good home after Capcom's inevitable self destruction.

I feel like we've been hearing the death throes of Capcom every two weeks for the past half year.

Takes a while for a company to go under, they can file for bankruptcy and stay in that state for a while, additionally they've been taking a dump on their fans chest like its a normal thing to do so everyone is super salty.

This generation of gamers is weird and annoying with predicting and saying everything is dead, dying or failure/bomb. I honestly don't remember all this doom and gloom and excitement and anticipation when I began reading video game forums.

Things have changed since you and I began reading forums. We are now privy to more stats, news information and trend reports where anyone who spends enough time on the Internet fancy themselves to be expert on the industry (shout outs to Enzo).

That said you don't need to be an expert to see that Capcom is not in good shape right now. They are basically just riding the success of RE and MH... if they manage to fuck those two IPs up then they might actually be done.

The wait for the games is more exciting than the games

And yea PR/marketing has been stronger than ever now. You can make a mediocre game sell in the millions if you market it appropriately.

That was always the case.

I do see a lot less "great games you never heard of" nowadays because of how quickly info spreads and how news sites will pick up and report on the buzz. Add to that they are now more likely to be on PC/digital instead of physical copies.

Eh, maybe, but then again

But also there's the tendency to just repeat things on the internet over and over until you have people complaining about Capcom who never really played Capcom games. And that's not really new either, just enabled by technology.

Play more games thats hardly anything

capcom's output and quality has been sucking almost all ps3/360 gen

It went down, for sure. But still there's fun stuff there.

Of course I say this as I'm deep in the MonHun 3U vortex. Save me. :(

Also I don't get salty at capcom because I'm getting the games Capcom used to make from other places, IntiCreates, Wayforward, YachtClub, etc. It was a good year to be a fan of portable action/platformers. And Platinum is covering the console side. So yeah.

Mick Gordon Teased a Snippet Song for the Next Character in Killer Instinct https://vine.co/v/OMiEqDqIw0v

Sounds like Riptor to me xD Mick Gordon is really talented. Killer Instinct is probably the best online fighting game I've played (In my opinion) so cant wait for my favorite character to finally arrive xD

Here is a fun little match I had recently as well with TJ Combo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OEygJU0Qo8

Is there a way i can embed video on Gaf?

Well, that's good, because no one here is an expert and these opinions lack expertise. "Capcom is bankrupt" - some Megaman fan on NeoGAF, 2010.
