Yeah, this is some massively hairy bollocks right here.
Fuck it, I'm done buying Ubisoft games.
For the tinfoil hatters, I'm going to start keeping track of the games MS has a marketing deal with that perform better on XBO than PS4. If there's a pattern it should emerge.
I doubt there's anything to it, but it's a simple thing to check. Enough ducks in a row, coincidence stops being a likely answer. But I can't imagine there's anything here.
For sure, but it was still an effort to utilize the hardware for something other than shiny.
So add Ass Creed Unity to the long list of games that run the same or better on XB1, like Destiny, Madden 2015, and Halo: MCC.
Thanks Phil Spencer.
Xbox One fans really must feel first class now.
I've been playing it over the last 2 days, and the X1 version definitely has frame rate issues. I notice them most when I'm indoors of all places. For example, there's one empty cathedral you have to do a puzzle in early on, and it kept having frame rate issues. Then, there was another indoor place that did as well.
Outside, it's not too bad.
Sounds like the XB1 was the lead platform with little to no optimization for the PS4. Quite a shame.

This thread will not end in unity.
I think this would make more sense if Unity didn't have pretty bad performance on XBO as well.
It's not such a shock if you believe Ubisoft's claim that it's CPU limited. And given the nature of the game that doesn't seem so far-fetched.

I'm not. *Boots up Xbox One.*

Strider and AC:UWhich games have performed better on the X1 so far?
The Ps4 is the more powerful console. A developer must be very imcompetent if their multiplatform game ends up running worse on the Ps4...
My thought exactly. Lowest common denominator Development FTW!
It's funny how Xbox One has made this giant leap forward in the last 6 months but PS4 has remained stagnant even though it has better hardware. Really looking forward to PS4 exclusives where they actually utilize the PS4's power and show just how nerfed these multiplatform games are to favor parity for Xbone.
I can't fathom it would happen, but it's not a hard thing to track. So we'll see.
19fps at one point, awful.
You just keep on waiting....Greatness Waits

So Xbone is capable of better and more efficient A.I.?

Guys, don't blame Microsoft, blame the shitty developer.
But it being only 10%, what explains the framerate delta, that can be bigger than that?

If you are CPU limited in a particular scenario GPU power is immaterial for that scenario.
