I have a severe lack of creativity, but that doesn't stop me from trying to make my own levels. If there was a game that sharefactory was made for, this would be it.

You might be better off starting the create mode in normal then. This is another departure from the other LBP games. When you start create mode for the first time, it gives you two options: normal/advanced.

Ooh, nice. Does this game have online coop create mode? If not then Shareplay could be great to have your more creative friends help you learn stuff.

Preordered on UK PSN but have to wait until the 28th :(

It should have both. I often got a friend to help me create in LBP2.

I'm really on te fence about buying LBP3. I never really got into 1 or 2, but I fell in love with LBP Vita. So I currently have $60 worth of credit in my PSN account and I'm not sure if I should purchase LBP3. What's the word on the story levels? Good number of levels? I really enjoyed LBP Vita's story mode.

Make sure y'all go nuts with the powerup creator! :)

Awesome OT! I love LBP.

I'm debating on whether I should buy this on PS3 or PS4 even though I don't yet own the latter, but may sometime this holiday. Is there an upgrade program?

I'll ask that question over at LBPCentral to see if I can get clarification from a dev.

where's Donkey Show when you need him.

So on this, we don't have an upgrade program at the moment.

Well, we have more than 30 story levels and a fair bit of non-linearity with the hub worlds and powerups you've collected through the adventure mode to unlock secrets and whatnot, on top of having quests. Also, a number of us on the design team, including myself, worked on LBP Vita.

I'm trying to come up with good ideas for a "twitch plays"-like game but I suppose I'm not creative enough. But wouldn't it theoretically be possible to make a pokémon-like game with all the new tools? Like you could catch pokemons by getting a power-up and then you could switch between pokemons thanks to the new power-up wheel. Perhaps someone more creative can figure out the rest.

The reason LBPVita was so good is because the levels were built by members of the creative community ... Well those same members are now gainfully employed by SUMO and are responsible for the levels in LBP3. Make of that what you will :)

This game went from 'I'll definitely buy this' to 'I MUST have this' after I watched three hours of gameplay.

Great title lol.

I will be picking this up near Christmas along with DriveClub and Guilty Gear. Will be fun watching the streams of people putting together levels

Yup, the interactive live streaming tool that you set the chat key phrases to acts as a trigger to whatever you want in your level. So yeah, you can totally do that.

Great OT, I haven't been following news about this game much, but the Infinite Level thing sounds absolutely lovely! Hope it means that large levels won't take too long to load/glitch out due to the Thermo!

I have 2 questions though,

For the PS4 version, is PS+ necessary to play Community Levels?

Is the infinite 3D glitch still around?

this game + ps4 share feature was meant to be. speaking of share feature. does LBP3 do anything with the interactive streaming feature for ps4?

Genuinely hyped for this! The improved jumping physics and new characters were the clincher. Playing local multiplayer with family using each of the different characters should be a laugh.

1/ bigger levels should load quicker. This might sound odd but it's because the whole level doesn't load in when you start, it streams in when you play. You have control over how big an area it can stream, from small/medium/large. I've already seen someone using the 3D glitch in a beta level.

2/ You need PS+ to play multiplayer but I don't think you need it to play community levels (DO quote me on that)

3/ All glitches are covered because of BC. The only glitch that I've seen causing a problem (for some) is the theck and thack glitch.

Yup, you can publish/play community levels without PS+ on the PS4.

Thanks for the responses! That's a relief to hear! Can't wait to play this.

Does the game support both Anarchy and Democracy type key-press-deciding?

I would imagine that's entirely down to the creator. I know there is a limit on how many words you can use to activate things in a level, but I don't think there's any defined boundaries with what those words can do.

You want it to rain electric cats, you can do that. If you want it to fill the air with health giving gas, you can do that too.

This may have been covered but are the PS3 and PS4 versions identical feature wise? So I can start to create a level in the PS4 version and then edit it on the PS3 version?

Does anyone know if I play this with a few others around the tv on ps4 (I know PS3 has limitations with this) and as long as they're logged in with their psn profiles on their controllers they will get trophies too? Or will only one player get them?

Just it isn't that fun when you play multiplayer games and when only one player gets them for doing something, it ends up leaving some other players feel left out.

There is an "Interactive Live Stream Sensor" where you can select key words. Then when these key words are entered into the twitch chat you get an output from the sensor. this allows for "twitch plays ____" style interaction :)

EDIT: aaah ive been beaten but yes it allows you to specify a timeframe where it will count votes (democracy) or to just output instantly (anarchy)

Yeah I supposed that would be the case. I would still love if there was a built-in switch since I'm pretty bad at using logic.

These are the PS4 features that you won't find on the PS3 version:

Shareplay
Sharefactory videos
30 second Sharefactory teaser for your level on LBP.me
Touch create
Interactive Twitch logic.

So yes, you can do that, unless you use the Interactive Twitch Logic.

It'll be really easy depending on what you want to do. Making it rain electric cats would be a simple matter of connecting the interactive logic to emitters, and when enough people type 'cats', the emitter turns on, and it rains electric cats. I never saw that logic in the beta but I would imagine it has a section in which you put the word and the number of times that word needs to be typed for it to trigger the logic. I also imagine, if you have more than one word, once the logic is triggered, it will reset them all to 0 again. It won't be as complex as some of the other logic tools.

Sorry if this has been asked before but will I be able to upload my LBP2 PS3 profile into the PS4 version of LBP3...with the costumes I've made and everything?

Thought so. Excellent move there. Can you perhaps give us a little detail on the two create modes: normal/advanced :)

So normal starts off with a basic tool set to you get moving, i.e. something similar but probably less intense than LBP2. Some tool sub menus are more simplified, etc. The menus can get a bit overwhelming, so we tried to simplify it to what would be enough for a beginner to get adjusted to the fundamentals (which are covered in the Popit Puzzles).

Advanced just unlocks everything from the get-go, all the new advanced depth tools, and what not.

Plus we have video tutorials that cover all the tools and then some, which can also be watched on LBP.me. Hopefully y'all don't find my voice too grating as I narrate about 165 tutorials, lol.

Does the game support both Anarchy and Democracy type key-press-deciding?

The tool is flexible enough to let you do that type of decision making for your stream.

Can't wait till Tuesday!

Great stuff. This is something I've been suggesting over at LBPcentral for a long time now and I'm glad it's there. I'll be watching all of those tutorials on LBP.me. Will they be Youtube videos? I only ask because I might add them to my LBP3 Directory thread.

Fantastic OT! I didn't think Sackboy could get any cuter, but those new characters...too cute. Looks like a lot of fun to play with my kids.

Anyone know the limit? It would be awesome to do some giant puzzle adventure game where players spam twitch with commands that may or may not work. Anyone remember those kind of games? It would require a big bank of key terms though.

I think one missed opportunity with LBP3 is complimenting the bigger levels/crazier designs with a proper creation identity.

It would have been awesome, especially on PS4, to have some way to have more than 4 simultaneous creators form a "studio", and then have that level share the plays/likes as one group. 6-8 creators on a single level design would allow for some great efficiency and would allow those seriously wanting to make huge levels feel more adequately rewarded/supported

Instead of tying one person to a level, it would be awesome to have small teams get recognized for their work. Maybe for the future! :)

The fact that I can transfer over my MGS4 pack kinda makes me even more excited for this. Sackboy in Old Snake and Raiden outfits was beyond adorable.

Great! Can barely wait until the 28th!

The only good thing about the 10 day delay for Europe is that it gives me enough time to finish Far Cry 4 and for the American community to make some cool stuff for us to play at launch.

That sounds incredible.

Went from "yeah, I'll pick this game up" to "can't wait for tuesday!" in under 4 pages, jeez!
