I contained all the hype by updating my previous post with more videos links, including the invitational tournament from E3.
Can't wait until the tournament mode gets patched in.
There is, but some/few reviewers have their actual scores on hold until online mode is up.

Online mode should work quite fine, my experiences with the 3DS Version and MK8 on Wii U were pretty good

You can actually have 7 Wii Remotes/Pro Controllers hooked up along with the Gamepad. The Wii U looks to have 8 Bluetoooth inputs.

I'm visiting my family next week for Thanksgiving, so I can get my old controller from storage (as well as my old Wii) on my way back.

PotD is up!
It's so weird... In 24 hours, all of this will be dead. The PotD Thread was one of the primary reasons I joined GAF. While we're still here, I just want to say, thank you all for all the fun times we've had, and for all the fun times we will have, through Smash. And hey, it wasn't a game-changing one like a stage reveal or a character deconfirmation, but I actually got to post a PotD here! Granted, I should be asleep, so I'm not completely proud, but hey! I just happened to finish that paper and catch this PotD immediately after, and I figured I wouldn't have many more chances to do this!
And again, Heath, that was a perfect "24 HOURS" banner; I wasn't sure what you meant when you said "not hype, but fitting," but I still feel it was both fitting and hype!

Well now that you've suggested one of us will, that takes the fun out of it. Any possible jokes we may have been considering are just... SHADOWs (The Hedgehog) of what could have been!
Also, didn't someone (Emcee?) say that we wouldn't be able to do a series of pre-release mega threads like this next time? I mean, I know it's technically for the PotD because we can't have an OT nearly this far in advance, but I also know that these threads were kind of, well, massive. And numerous. Just makes me appreciate this series of Smash PotD Threads more, I guess.

Sakurai never gave an end date for the PotD other than "by year's end," but as soon as the OT for the Wii U version goes up, we're hardly going to see anyone react to the PotD. We're already long past the days of filling a thread in 3-4 days, but now, I'd expect a post or two at best, since we have the full game. I mean, the Smash Dojo went on until the American release for Brawl, but I really doubt the PotD will go on much longer after release, since it's more to show the development of the game, rather than to chronicle its contents. Honestly, if I had to guess, tomorrow may be our last one.
Well, hopefully we'll still remember each other when we stumble through the boards! I know I'll never forget some of you. Especially because of that Fan Fiction; whatever happened to that, anyway? Did we get a confirmation on who the Shadow Author was?

Same to you, my friend. I also would like to thank SmashGAF for the wonderful ride to hype together! I joined midway through, and I enjoyed all the discussions even if I'm not as active as some of you guys, from PotDs to rumors and speculations, to other Nintendo-related stuff to absolute nonsense lol.
In a few weeks time we all will be seeing each other on the online battlefield! Has somebody made a NNID list doc? Feel free to add mine as my NNID is the same as my username (random25).
I could never hate you, because I'm in that same boat! That slowly, slowly sinking boat. You think we'd be submerged by now, but I still have hope we'll some day float.

It has indeed been real, you guys. The Smash threads are pretty much the entire reason I ever became active on GAF in the first place. I hope we'll be able to keep things going at least a little longer with post-release PotDs (however long they last) and possible DLC speculation/hype. At least we know there's still the Miiverse stage and Mewtwo coming to be excited about!

That's why I was always a big defender of people speculating on leaks and rumors, no matter how outlandish - that's a part of the cycle that we'll never get back. It only happens once, and it's so fun.
