Screw sci-fi, I would love a pure horror game from them (third person). The Last of Us was not scary at all, but it had just enough light horror aspects to pique my interest in a horror game from them. I think their great art and story direction, along with their average gameplay design would be a great fit for a horror game.

How about a highly stylized cel-shading used on a back drop of cartoon/comic world. Take that story telling into more comic book/anime direction.

If they are keeping the current art style I'd suggest old school science fiction a la "Island of Doctor Mereau', 'The Time Machine' or 'Frankenstein'. Something in a world without modern science and technology.

isn't Guerilla Games doing an RPG? Wouldn't want it to bump heads...I'd rather ND just help out with the story telling. And that's exactly what Mass Effect is as well. Sci-fi TPS/RPG.

I think ND is the prime star in Sony's World Wide studios. And because of that, I think they should tackle the biggest genre--Modern Open-world. The genre isn't as flooded as one would expect with how big the budget is.

That's pretty much it. would love to see ND do something based off the 60's or something with actual context and story and references to society and cultural norms back then. Ya' know, serious (without being corny) GTA. I think only a team like ND can do it.

I wouldn't mind seeing their take on a Skyrim type game in either first or third person. I say this simply because they have the best coders and artists in the business. On those fronts, they should blow away the competition in that genre. Add in their quality story telling and they should pretty much hit on all the fronts that Bethesda is weak in.

Naught Dog should do a new IP Platformer but in the Conkers Bad Fur Day style, target older gamers but with humour and style! Sony really need some new mascots for this gen and a Conker like character would be cool.

Yeah. Judging by the brisk sales of knack, this generation's mostly 18-30 year old male target demographics are just itching for family friendly content. I'm sure Mr Yoshida is just itching to throw that money away. Er, I mean, lead the resurgence of a genre that's already well represented and still niche.
