If you're willing to make sure you smack something to OHKO your opponent and switch out, then it's okay.

Otherwise, Traunt is NOT OKAY.

Slakoth was trash but Vigoroth is doin WORK :D When it evolves into Slaking I'll just use Giga Impact, switch out for free, then let something else do something, then repeat :3

you'll slowly go crazy over all the truant ability activations

lol yeah that truant was annoying as hell. now i have no idea for my final member

have a trapinch to get a flygon
marshtomp
hariyama
manectric
charmelon
then vigoroth which is about to evolve

I'll take any suggestions?

For those looking for Eon Tickets, they're spreading around HomePass now. Already got mine. Waiting to go grab Latios until I can take the time to reset for nature. Probably won't reset for IVs because that process is terribly useless. Will probably try to trade for one later if I want one for a competitive team.

You could use a fairy or ice pokemon to deal with dragons.

Alright guys, I'm starting to think about making the skeleton of a Rain Team for future competitive play. First pokemon that come to mind to put in are Politoad, Ludicolo and Azumarill. Never played a rain team before, so what should I be looking to get my hands on as I play OR/AS (I also have Y and trading's always there too)?

Some of my Hoenn favourites are Exploud, Ludicolo, Aggron, Crawdaunt, Metagross, and Salamence

From the list, I'd probably recommend Metagross. It's offensive and defensive, has a good move pool, and looks really cool.

So I imported a Beheeyem from X to be my sync pokemon and he does the job quite well. Thunder wave, recover, simple beam (so pressure can't nuke my recover pp) and rock tomb cause if I use a special attack it does too much damage.

Forgot to say this is for my Lugia battle.

What fire-type is best of those available in Sapphire (Slugma, Numel, or Vulpix)? I think those are it, unless I'm missing any. I need to add one to my party.

HA Vulpix

I also need one in the team I'm bringing to the Elite Four
I could transfer one, but it's not much fun doing it that way

Is there a Vulpix with draught available in OR/AS? I had a Draught Ninetails on a competitive team for a while and she was super duper rad. Fragile, but awesome.

Slaking can be fun ingame, but it does take a lot of patience. Then again, this is coming from someone who at one point had a Slaking and a Wobbuffet in one of his OG Sapphire teams lol.

Actually, the reason Slaking started to grow on me was because Evice in Colosseum would absolutely wreck my team with that Skill Swap combo.

I do agree with going with Metagross- always a good choice.

Marcargo is cool, but holy shit at the weaknesses. Probably the most appealing thing about Marcargo is having access to Recover. I used it in the original RSE to okay effect.

Camerupt is better. Because Earthquake.

Ninetails is the best out of these 3 if you DexNav it's HA. Fire off those sunboosted Flamethrowers and Solarbeams! It's movepool is barren as hell though.

I always find Maikarp-type Monsters the most fun. Ralts, Trapinch (for the love of god though do not evolve it into Vibrava until level 44), Mawile (wait, can you even get that Mega Evo in the main game?) and Corphish (though he gets good pretty early now) are all some of my favorites that pull their weight in the late game.

As far as something that's viable the whole time, I'd recommend the Aron family. Great defenses and Solid attack. While you have to get its levels up to speed (It starts 10 levels behind, sadly), once you do so it's an extremely dependable party member, and it learns fairly decent moves and TMs early on. Aggronite is also found as soon as you go to Rustboro tunnel and break the path open with Rock Smash, so you can bust out Mega Aggron as soon as you hit level 42.

I've been wrecking face with Megaggron ever since Fortree.

Yup, Ninetales is the Fire-type MVP (not including Blaziken of course) by a long shot.

Get a ludicolo. A grass type helps a lot in hoenn.

Hopefully Gamefreak knows their error and reverts the typing for Mega-Masquerain to Water-bug.

Horde of 5 Magnemites with Sturdy.

You want to catch one.

And they have Supersonic.

And the RNG hates you as usual.

Shit, I hope you didn't meet any with magnet pull.

Sturdy is the worst thing in Hordes.

But it makes it easier to catch them! (though for EV training it is indeed super-annoying)

The 5 grunt battle was annoying too because the Poochyene kept spamming roar multiple times per turn.

Wait, so according to the delta episode, the remakes are
basically parallel universes?

That's kinda awesome.

Antiwhippy

They meant that it evolved from the bug/water surskit to the bug/flying masquerain. Not that the remake changed it.
