You can see just how longer his jaw line is, it definitely softens him up and makes him look less gaunt and old imo.

And you just do the opposite assertion. You're not trying to make any informed argument, you just repeat over and over again how one is better.Unity faces blow Beyond out of the water. When you see Unity in motion you can tell it is a generation a head.
Most people are just judging art style, not the actual technology. A lot of you think UC4, Ellie, Beyond look better because of the art style. Because there is no way you can see Ellie, Beyond, and ACU faces in motion and think ACU doesn't better by a large margin.
I would take the term "pre-alpha" lightly. The game's going to be out next year, it's not that everything seen so far is going to change drastically.
My one rule of thumb is a simple one. If you are not running at the same resolution when you try to compare, then there is no comparison. If I'm at 1080p and you're at 900p or 720p comparison is out the window. 900p means you are doing less period.

Did RAD actually outdo Naughty Dog in visuals?
Question:
Did RAD actually outdo Naughty Dog in visuals?
Kind of difficult to compare given how far along RAD's game is compared to the build U4 was at, but man... I will say Ready at Dawn's visual detail is crazy.
DF article coming Monday or Tuesday.

We keep saying the same screens for Infamous Second Son and Killzone Shadow Fall when some agenda-driven person wants to make a point as well. ;-)Nothing like seeing that same gif that is posted everytime.

Mostly their Physically Based Materials are the most accurate I have ever seen in any game thanks to their advanced scanning tech.

Paint some dirt into that diffuse map and they look pretty darn similar.
Not really. The devil's in the details. I'm convinced the artists at ND are taking the time to make each character look great, whereas the cast of AUC has ups and downs in quality. Granted, the cast of AUC is probably much larger than the one in UC4.

Jokes? This looks bad in comparison the UC4 and ACU.
The scope of ACU is much larger.

Despite the Naughty Gods label, they weren't ever notably ahead of Sony's other studios graphically. KZ2 blew Uncharted away, and they never bested GoW3 to me.
They made better games than GG and SSM obviously, but graphically I don't think they were in another league or something.

Dudes nose started bleeding after Nate kicked him in the face.
It really is insane. Whatever one thinks of The Order - and given that they do the filmic black bars technique to be able to technically have the game running at a lower resolution - one has to be stunned at the visuals on display.
Naughty Dog, the gauntlet has been thrown down
I don't see anything amazing in the Order 1886 as far as graphics. Sure looks amazing, but nothing that makes me go "wow." It's mostly a brown and dark game, with a very narrow field of view, some textures look soft from a distance. There's heavy use of motion blur which washes away IQ, you can see that in some of the gun fights. RAD talked about using different types of post processing to get rid of jaggies an aliasing, and it shows. The downside is that IQ looks subdued and faint, not as sharp considering the amount of pixels being pushed in that letterbox presentation. It would have been better if RAD would have created their own AA technique like Sucker Punch did with Infamous. For Uncharted 4, the depth of field is amazing. The level design looks more varied and bigger than that of the Order. The lighting also looks amazing and the character models look like a huge step up from previous Uncharted Games. It's more colorful too. I think it's hard to compare the two considering that both games have different art-styles. But I will go with Uncharted 4, their rendering pipeline is glorious and magical.
That shot from the order looks straight up legit cg imo. No other game looks this good so far.Question:

The fact that an open world game can not just have the great technological level, but also look like they are on the same level as more linear games is a first and that should shut up all the people who talk about this gen not being a big jump.Yeah, so as a result it's not too surprising that there are going to be some characters that aren't quite up to par.

The Beyond gif that everyone uses looks amazing -
But it didn't look as good as that in the actual game i thought. I purposely kept an eye out for this bit and its the bit at night when she's hiding behind the car in front of a row of shops. I thought it didn't look as good as it does in this gif imo.

IMO from a tech perspective Rockstar was the most impressive developer last gen. I personally can't wait to see what they deliver after ACU and the upgraded version of GTA 5 that they have given us so far.
