On-topic: I forgot/didn't realize squid have beaks. That makes me feel worse somehow about eating squid. I already stopped eating octopus and squid. I dunno. I suppose that's not actually on-topic. It's in part just that their being highly intelligent further pushes me away from eating them....

Yes, that's a whole other can of worms. FWIW:

The cephalopod class of molluscs, particularly the Coleoidea subclass (cuttlefish, squid, and octopuses), are considered the most intelligent invertebrates and an important example of advanced cognitive evolution in animals.

Regardless, yes, chickens are very smart. I have some cognitive dissonance about being omnivorous and have been vegetarian and even vegan in the past but felt I had to start eating meat again for health reasons. My guess is that Twitter's 140-character limit played a factor in that decision. You can write a lot in 140 characters in Japanese but you're pretty limited in English
