No you'll spoil yourself on everything aside from the alt routes going through the anime. It's also less detailed so you're getting a watered down version of the story there.

I havent watched the anime or played much of the VN, but I do know they tell the same basic story. But I assume the anime is the "true end" of the VN.

Have I blown it by watching the anime first? It's been a while so I forget the details, but are the other routes similar enough that I'll have a worse off time or are they different enough to still be enjoyable?

Probably a dumb question considering visual novels generally have completely different stories for their routes, but the "aw naw breh anime is a no go" posts here have me worrying.

Yeah, although I'm very happy with the SE I got for the PC version, I hope they do get the Steam issues sorted eventually. There's definitely a big audience for the game there, and success of Steins;Gate on Steam could really open the floodgates for VN localizations on the platform.
