Your Grand Theft Auto VI Wishlist

I haven't even played GTA5 yet (waiting for PC) and I'm chomping at the bit to find out what's in store for GTA VI. It'll probably be several years before we hear anything but I still can't wait to see a GTA game built with modern horsepower in mind. I hate to say but I find liberty city boring. I like the variety of San Andreas where the surrounding rural areas and suburbs are incorporated into the map.

Call me crazy but I want to go back to Vice City. Except I want swamps, theme parks, beaches, and other Florida type things. I would like to play through multiple time periods with perhaps different but related characters. In the 1960s while the city is being developed and the wetlands are being bought up and today with the aftermath of all that.

Red Dead Redemption sequel first tho plz

Trains that you can actually drive and destroy this time
Robbing houses like in GTA:SA on ps2
More interiors
Army at 6 stars

Female protagonist and London. If they keep the character switching thing, limit it to 2 characters and have one be cop and the other a criminal. Shake things up a bit.

Go one bigger. Don't have say 3 islands (eg GTA4) or one big island (GTAV)

Make different countries.

Have the game set in Europe or south america or something crazy. Make flying or taking a boat necessary.

More interior locations and a larger map. More things to do. A larger sandbox.

Just things that make me want to play the game even more than I do for GTA V.

Edit: Oh, and what other people are saying, e.g. Army at 6 stars.

Missions with variability like the PS2 GTAs, where you could come up with your own novel solutions to mission. Like there was one where you had to kill Salvatore. I used to do that by getting a bunch of cars, blocking Salvatore's garage, and then exploding one of the cars when he got home. It's also possible to do that by sniping him off the roof from the club he exits, or just trash his car on the journey home.

Too many of GTAIV's and GTAV's missions are scripted. One good example of variability in GTAV though is the mission where you have to steal this giant tanker near the end of the game. I drove that tanker into the LA river area to evade the cops lol.

More realistic gore. Bullet wounds, decapitations, limbs falling off, more blood etc..

Let us enter random houses so we can shoot up families or use their toilet or whatever

More weapons too!

Kinda like SR, but more realistic

San Fierro/Vice City/Las Venturas
Safe house which can be upgraded and modified
Go back to 80s or 90s. That's all I need.

Seasons! Don't really know how they would implement this, but I'd love to see more diverse weather effects.
Better shooting controls.
Female MC.

Better reasons to explore.GTAV was huge and beautiful but there wasn't much to do when you went off the beaten track.
More side quests that would mean I suppose.

More things to buy and expand your commodities. Have mission rewards that make you feel like they matter. Pick up stuff up from the world and use it as a weapon or interact with things. More enter able buildings please.

Seasonal changes.

More animal life.

Swaying trees :p .

I like it when GTA games are set in a distinct era. I loved the 80s look and sounds of Vice City and the 90s satire in GTA: San Andreas.

GTA games set in the "now" just seem to lack a bit of umph for me. I think Rockstar do their best work when their recreating an era/ethos (GTA:VC, GTA:SA, RDR, LA Noire (Team Bondi))

So long story short I'd like GTA 6 to be set in the 20s/30s/60s/70s or 80s. Hell I'd settle for a futuristic setting over a modern day one.

Considering that Rockstar seems to cling on to the notion that GTA games needs to have realistic/weighty controls, I suspect that they'll never improve.

Guess we'll just have to live with the wonkiness. It's a shame as it could make the games a lot more fun.

Anything but London. Could not handle a GTA game with British accents.

More interiors is a big one. Driveable trains and other vehicles. Expanding on heists. General improvements to shooting and driving although it was already a huge step up from GTA4.

On foot controls and gunplay that matches WatchDogs.

Everything else is perfect.

ViceCity in the 80s please.

Multiple cities for me.

I love GTAV but I look at the map and think it could have been so much more by having San Fierro and Las Venturas in there as well.

To evolve the series more however then maybe having multiple GTA settings in one game San Andreas, Vice City, Liberty City etc... would be the next step for the franchise.

Hi, I'm nortonff. I spend my life going into threads to say that I don't care about the topic of the thread. It's a really good use of my time.
Seasons and aging characters
Way more interiors
City changes, buildings being built

Id also love it if the story changes depending on some actions, like two or thelree split timelines.

More Animals - Maybe a Zoo too
Rideable Horses
Some sort of wilderness area where you really are in the middle of nowhere, and not like in GTA V where you can hear noises from the road wherever you are.

Future setting ala Fifth Elemet / (Mass Effect) / Minority Report / Total Recall (reboot) but not too serieous. Mixed with a healthy dose of Futurama.

Trains that you can actually drive and destroy this time
Robbing houses like in GTA:SA on ps2
More interiors
Army at 6 stars

It's already hard to survive with 4-5 stars except you are in a Jet / Tank / very fast or very shielded car. On foot? Insta death.

Agile criminals or I guess I should say, more mobility options.

Like, being able to lie belly-down for sniping on rooftops. Or being able to climb the side of buildings and structures with bricks sticking out-- nothing too ridiculous or over the top like in Crackdown or Infamous but something very believable and true to life. On that note, ti's weird that they removed shimmying across ledges in V. It wasn't very useful in GTA IV's single player but online it was great for evading people during rooftop shootouts.

Mini golf course
Phone Radio, MC puts in ear buds and takes 1 out during dialogue you keep hearing the radio on that side
Properties with som thought put into them
A mall
all the things undrowngraded from IV like NPC deaths

3 protags Female Rookie Cop, Young Criminal, Old Tony Montana Antagonist set in Maimi.

-Gameplay overall improvements.
-No exagerated violent cutscenes such as a couple of Trevor ones (Not even hidden in some pseudo experience of psychopath understanding).
-An world as big and varied as GTA San Andreas! Besides GTA V had a really nice world aswell.
-If GTA Online 2: A better game overall, with more interesting stuff to do and less loading screens.

I'm hoping for more depth/variety in the gameplay, I would also prefer a smaller map but with more building interiors.

But I guess I mostly want co-op campaign, if Volition can do it flawlessly in the last three Saints Row games already then surely Rockstar can manage it in their next.

What I think would be cool would be to have the story focus on a small crew with like a wheelman, a hacker, a mechanical lock and safe cracker, a muscle man and a mastermind. And just like in GTA V you could switch between em at all times and experience the missions how you want to. It adds a lot of replay value and plus its great for drop in co-op , friends can just drop into your game and take control of one of the crew members.

Guys R* already confirmed a while ago that GTA will never be set outside of the US again. No point in requesting stuff like London or South Africa.

What I'd like to see:
- multiple cities (a no-brainer)
- more details/interactive elements: imagine being able to use the coin phones or hotdog stands. Or being able to ring a doorbell and have some random guy answer you? What about being able to buy drugs from a dealer in the streets or just sit on a bench in a park? Gas in vehicles? Being able to use the gym (no need for visible muscles, could just increase strength stat... seems like a no-brainer?) I want them to take the tiny details in the world to the next level. Because lets face it, V LS is beautiful but interaction with it is almost non existant
- Seasons (summer where you wear almost nothing, spring, fall, winter with thick coats and gloves?)
- A cop/FIB agent as one of the protagonists. Have him go bad/get betrayed by his agency halfway through I don't care, I'd just like to see the other side of the coin for a bit
- Let me buy properties again
- Loads of interiors (club is a must have)
