Ew. No. No. No. No. No.
If it's not playable with a Pro Controller I'm out.
I felt the very same way about ZombiU
Then I played ZombiU

I'll be the devil's advocate and say that Pikmin 3, while still being a great game, is way less fun and challenging than Pikmin 1/2.
I really think this game is an experiment, not the big StarFox people think it's going to be.
I'm hoping Star Fox Wii U edition is epic.

Man, It's really weird. Star Fox games ended right around the time the star wars trilogy closed. I've always joked that the day they made a new Star Fox game is the day they make another Star Wars sequel, so here we are, 8 years later and a new Star Fox and Star Wars movie are being made in the same year.
lol

Wait, really? Wow. I'm only peripherally aware of iJustine, but does she often get big-wig exclusive interviews like this? Especially releasing new information for the first time, from a company like Nintendo?
Man I wonder what you have to do in the cockpit on the gamepad.
Sounds veeery interesting

You don't have any idea how it will function. Calm down.
-Describes the basic gameplay: Cinematic (3rd person) view on the big screen, cockpit view on the gamepad. You are meant to split between the two while you are playing.
This sounds like the behind closed doors E3 2014 demo.
Miyamoto's input ruined the last Paper Mario. This isn't good.

So amiibos will unlock arwing skins then.
And the part about his hands hurting from playing the game does not in any way sound like something positive.
I -highly- recommend you play WarhawkAll I want is them to bring back Star Fox Assaults multiplayer and make it online. That'll be enough for me.
OK so I put my Sonic amiibo on the GamePad and I get to use the Tornado
right
I really think this game is an experiment, not the big StarFox people think it's going to be.
And then you were like "this could totally work with the Pro Controller."
Eh, I still don't think there was anything that couldn't have been done otherwise. Overlays and a view swap button could achieve the same mechanics. Difference would have been you wouldn't have to look back and forth. That's not to say it wasn't neat, just that it doesn't have to be mandatory. I like options, which is something Nintendo has been very on top of with most of their games so far.
So yeah, I'd love to have a Pro Controller or Wiimote/nunchuck option if possible. I don't really see anything in this game being something that absolutely requires the gamepad, but we'll see.
Im so afraid of this. Star Fox has so much untapped potential...
I think the only disaster that Miyamoto has worked on directly (correct me if I'm wrong) was Wii Music.
A character based video game where he has been developing himself has rarely ever been bad.
Mind you, I won't completely write the game off, and I'm attacking from a slightly different angle, but I somewhat agree for different reasons. I have no problems with the GamePad myself, but I'm really leery about the prospect of needing two screens. It means we lose off-TV play as an option, and I'm always skeptical that the tradeoff for that results in something that is mechanically necessary.
Doesn't Miyamoto understand English? Does he really need that dude to translate 'Zelda coming out before Star Fox'?
I guess that's my misunderstanding? I didn't know it had been confirmed as an EAD game. Actually, I still don't think that's known for sure. Are there interviews that I've missed? That's not true at all. We knew from the beginning EAD was developing the game. However, Miyamoto mentioned he was going to need help finishing the game from a production standpoint most likely, so you may see some additional work forces in the credits. But this is a standard industry practice. I mean no one freaks out that BeeTribe and Avant "co-developed" Bayonetta 1 and 2.
My take on that was that he had misinterpreted the question. He seemed to be answering something like "What are the best games for the 3DS?". Bill let him finish his answer and then clarified what her original question had been.Even with my limited Japanese I got the impression that he forgot what games were coming for 3DS next year. He had to reminded about Codename Steam and Majora's Mask. Haha.
If it's not playable with a Pro Controller I'm out.
no thank you.
This sounds terrible...I don't like switching between the screens...
Same here hurts my neck
He's going to ruin it with shitty gimmicks and dumb controls.
The thought that Miyamotos next game is Starfox gives me a massive boner
Not even one screenshot and video and we're already getting reactions like this. lol
That's what I think too.I really think this game is an experiment, not the big StarFox people think it's going to be.
