You can own a language like that? Who gave them the authority?
The legitimacy of it would be the same as England telling America "either you speak like us or you start calling it American" except in this case there was less time between colonisation and the current age where there's steady traffic of information between the two so the differences aren't as significant.

And it's not just Brazil, Portugal was a great coloniser and until "recently" still had a considerable amount of colonies (in it's heyday the Portuguese empire rivaled the British if not surpass it). The Orthographic Agreement started as a necessity due to printed works and the idea behind it was to make a unified language based on Portuguese but with influences of all the colonies, that way even if spoken differently one copy of a printed work would be understood (and more importantly economically viable) for all regions.

A more correct delineation would point out that Brazilians speak their own dialect of Portuguese in a similar fashion that Americans speak a different dialect of English than the British.

Exactly for instance when you go to Cabo Verde you don't say they speak Portuguese or Creole because both have large numbers of variations, you'd say they speak Cabo Verdiano (Cape Verdean). Yet Brazilians keep pushing the notion that they speak Portuguese without even referencing that it is a different dialect.

Coupled with the fact they haven't signed the OA pretty much since it existed lawfully it should be considered a different language but at the very least it should be acknowledged as a dialect instead of people treating it as Portuguese.

Just like there is American English and Australian English.
(Funny that it's "ok" to say you speak Australian but if you say American or Brazilian people won't agree as much)

So...how do you buy from Nuuvem?
I'm trying to make an account but it just loops at the creation screen. Any ideas?

Are you trying to use the same name for both login and screen name? I was and it kept validating, when I changed one of them, I was able to register.

hmph. You might call it australian english or whatever, but its all just commonweath english with a bit of accent, which is basically british english, or simply british, or simply english.

Real english folks, not that quasi american english

I remember playing the demo way back when and being amazed that my PC could handle a form of 3D rendering. I can't remember if I actually enjoyed the demo, haha.

I played a good portion of Outcast when it first came out and I enjoyed it quite a lot. It can be a little goofy but I remember having a lot of fun with it.

Sooo... Is there an Australian English? Or Irish English? I have trouble understanding them sometimes at the office. And I am super fluent in American English.

Yeah if you want more practice on what it sounds like, listen to someone speak British or American English and slowly stick a sharp object into your eardrum.

(This is a joke for those that can't tell)

It is not actually British, for the language called British is a defunct Celtic language by the people known as the Britons
I'm not disagreeing with the rest of your statement, I just like that the fact there actually was a language called British and it got transformed into Welsh and Cornish.

Hmm, I feel as though I need to somehow make this Steam related. Oh I know, Typing of the Dead : Overkill has fun DLC that lets you type out Shakespearen dialogue, and that's outdated modern English!

I don't really need a tag, but I figured I'd get one to make people jealous. Is it working?
So what's everyone's #1 "no matter what I'm gonna buy this" game for this sale?

I'm thinking Legend of Korra, on the chance Activision declines to renew it's license.

I'm also thinking Metal Gear, because Metal Gear.

And for some reason I want Viscera Clean Up detail. I thought I could get a deal on it with the auction, but apparently it's not obscure and indie enough. Something about an OCD cleaning simulator being popular with the auction crowd shouldn't be surprising, I suppose.
