What? Month+ old releases that are popular often get no discount until a daily.

It's not that unusual.

Not really. Until only a few sales ago it was considered that if you didn't have a baseline discount you would not get a daily deal. Fez may have been the first to break that as far as I recall. It's definitely not common.

Zilch? The vote started a few hours ago. It doesn't change until ~19 hours pass.

Interesting, so they are only doing one vote a day this time around? And flash sales only update every 12 hours? That's kind of a shame. Now we'll get even less opportunities for good games to lose the vote against Borderlands 2 and Skyrim.

awesome Im liking just 1 vote a day.. that 3 votes a day was basically the only reason to keep checking back all the time lol

Is there a chance that Brave New World is going to go below 75% off? It isn't even a featured sale right now and that's what it's at. I'd love to grab it for under 5.

safe to say 75% is the lowest it will go since it's a part of the daily deal.

I have Ground Zeroes on PS4 and XBONE. I have played it on neither console. I have not played Peace Walker. I have 100%'d all other MGS games. Do I bite on the PC version of GZ? Is it a great port? How will it run on my i7-2600K / 8GB ram / 570 GTX? Can I max it at 1200p? I prefer to play on PC whenever possible, assuming my semi-aging rig can provide a smooth experience.

So.... the winter sale cards are basically useless.

they've been available for over a week before the sale began and there's no metagame to help drive its price up. Combine that with the fact that they're giving away a holiday card for every community vote (instead of every 3 votes like previous sales) and you have yourself the situation we're in now.

Best deal for me was getting MGR at $6 (w/tax) on Amazon (price-matched!) with my old gift card balance. A shame I can't be cheap and get a similar deal for Ground Zeroes, lol.

Sale's gonna be decent at least, but I can't see it reaching the highs of past sales knowing Valve's recent decline.

Forgot about DSII having a new edition next year. Still worth picking up? Also, is FSX worth buying for someone that lost their disc over a year ago and still has an itch to play?

That's still the same number of cards per account per day as ever.

Got a new laptop so I officially purchased my first ever Steam game. Age of Empires II HD at 66% off. Fitting really, one of the only PC games I played much of back in the '90s. Picked up Super Meat Boy (hooked a DS4 up) and State of Decay. I'll be keepin' an eye on the rest of the sales!

Yes, but in past sales the first card hit at the end of the first day, after demand had a chance to push prices up. Instead this time the cards hit immediately and were then dumped on the market due to the lack of a metagame, which resulted in an immediate price crash. So a lot of us with cards expected the 25 cent price to go to 40 cents, as it has in past sales, instead it went to 15 cents. For comparison, card prices are already lower now for these cards than they ever got at any point during the summer sale.

Hurry up, Shovel Knight! Lower the price so I can buy it! D:

You'll be waiting a while, Devs stated there would be no discount this sale.

The meta game is real.
Do I convert cards into gems to get booster packs? Do I then sell the booster packs or should I seperate them and then sell them? Or should I just sell the cards separately without gems.
....fuck

Keep in mind that the booster pack is 3 cards, that's on average (if you open it, which you may not want to do) $0.12 x 3 depending on the game. Which means that if you have 1000 gems for a booster pack, instead of selling them for the $0.57 price they have right now, you are losing money. Also, Do not transform cards into gems, you are losing money. Only Wallpapers and Emoticons are worth it. A card gives you around 20 gems, that's roughly $0.0114 and you could probably sell that directly in the marketplace for ten times that price.

but the price of gems is going to keep crashing, keep that in mind that they were $1.17 last night.

Depends.

You can play the game now over waiting months for the New version. Most of the enhancements are getting patched into this version, other than DX11 and alternate enemy spawns.
DLC should drop in price, unless Namco is keeping the price locked in order to artificially inflate the value of the new version.

Either way, the remastered version represents a significantly reduced value to PC players.

Ok so is Dark Souls II a daily so I am good to buy it now?

Always wait for the dailes.

Thanks. It was $9 on Nuuvem so I bit.

If the average person was getting holiday cards just once per day for voting 3 times in the community vote, it's not the same as that one person getting 3 cards - one for every vote - in a day. It's going to drive the card prices down because there is a larger supply of them, lessening demand.
