In all probability, it's probably the closest we're ever going to get to a REmake 2, at least until Capcom plucks up some serious balls.

I've always taken issue with the way they're portrayed in RE0. Calculating, manipulative Wesker and idealistic, brilliant Birkin are suddenly reduced to the level of pantomime thugs who murder a guy to ride on his glory. It diminished a lot of what the other games did such a good job of regarding creating their character imo.

Resident Evil Zero was also the last Resident Evil with a great soundtrack, it felt like the original Resident Evil games in ambient music.

I guess after the Zero remaster, Capcom might go ahead re-release RE4 on next gen systems (based on the recent PC port). However, it would be awesome if they ported/remastered the Outbreak games. I wouldn't mind Dead Aim either.

Dead Aim bundled with Gun Survivor on Wii was a no-brainer that somehow never happened. You got to hook the old thing up to a CRT to even play it now. I guess I'm glad I played it while I had the chance.

I'm completely up for a Resident Evil Zero remaster. Sure, REmake shits all over it and so do RE2 and RE4, but I prefer Zero to RE3 and Code Veronica, PLUS Zero is so much better than RE5 and RE6 and Revelations sooooo... I'll take it.

The way that scene plays out, it could literally have been anyone from Umbrella ordering a hit squad laying claim to RE antagonist fame. It could have been Fred from the mycology department. Did I want a climactic fight against Fred from mycology in a volcano? No, and I'm glad I didn't get one. RE0's story and cinematics are still balls, though.

Biohazard Zero HD should be very welcome.
Perhaps it didn't bring about drastic changes to the series back in 2002, but it was a worthy entry and a good ride for every Biohazard fan out there.
Thus, props to Capcom if Bio Zero HD is in the works!

0 was, for me at least, bottom of the barrel. What a shame they didn't do RE2 and RE3 (along with touching up that CVX HD version from the x360 as they did with the RE4 HD release).

He's been very open several times on Twitter he does not care for horror games whatsoever and would prefer someone else direct REmake 2 entirely if it ever happened. Can't say I disagree with him even if it was a great directorial debut for Kamiya.

RE5 Wesker was campy and theatrical, but his motives were still in line with his character as defined in the (poorly translated) first game and REmake. His personality changed, which you could possibly explain as a result of his biological change, but his philosophy and agenda remained consistent.

He basically thinks that humans are lesser beings in the grand scheme of things and deserve to be usurped by 'superior' lifeforms, hence him falling in love with Tyrant, chasing Alexia to the Antarctic, sending Ada after the Plagas, and creating Uroboros.

Funnily enough, I think item boxes would have improved RE0 quite a bit. Dropping items was a good idea, but having to pick them all up to go to a different part of the game was stupid. Especially once you finish the training facility and you've got to get all your shit from the foyer and move it to the church once you've killed the bat.

As much as I liked RE0 for the most part, the character switching and item management was clunky, and the the game never even managed to make me feel uncomfortable, let alone scared.

I jumped once in my entire playthrough at the hunter that leaps out from behind some pipes. =/

Like others have said, RE2/3 are the ones that need revamping now.

Well the current game lets you control the second player (movement only) using the C-Stick on the Gamecube. But that's for movement, no actions.

I assume that means it would be theoretically possible but I'd imagine it'd be incredibly hard to somehow accomodate area transitions for two human controller characters.

It'd also potentially make the game a lot more easier, but similar to Outbreak. I'd love to see Capcom do it but I doubt it'll happen.

It'd be pretty hard to do though since during the game characters are separated and unaccounted for during these separations. So they'd have to basically craft all new scenarios to compensate (and even then, one of said scenarios would just have

I remember being disappointed with Resident Evil Zero back when it came out. It's definitely not as good as Remake. Still, it would be nice to see it available for other platforms.
