XSEED Teases 2015 Releases With New Years Image

Nayuta has a fan translation in the works and is making steady progress. Not too worried about that one.

Not expecting a whole lot in terms of Falcom PC games now. We are hopefully getting Trails SC in a few months. Ark of Napishtim is finally getting announced. Xanadu Next has a domain registered. Those three would already be a load for Sara.

Pictures 2,4,6 and 8 seem to be taken out of the Background of the New Years Message. Don't know what that is supposed to tell us though

I still can't believe this is the year I'll be playing SC. Almost as unbelievable as Yakuza 5.

Me too. These games are all I need this year. Anything else is a bonus.

Just when I thought my SC hype could get no higher I finally got a PC that will run FC. This game looks glorious in HD, there's no going back for me.

I remember that the teaser image last year showed an otome game that didn't make it. So it could happen this year as well.

Ark of Napishtim is a good game, but I'm a tad disappointed. I was hoping for something new. :/

We'll get Ys 8 in 2016, chill, XSEED's a small company. If anything just be glad that more people can experience these classic awesome Falcom games via accessible systems like Steam, etc.

It will be new for a lot of people, and it completes the trilogy of the three best Ys games in one spot with added modern features (widescreen, cloud, achievements).

I'll gladly pay a $10 premium to insure that we will get any potential sequels.

Kind of harsh on the sequel thing, they've dropped what, 3 series? And HMH2 ended up getting released anyway so that just left Unchained Blades (did anyone even want the sequel?) and RGC (unfortunate, but it's hard to blame them if it's literally their worst selling game ever, probably not a cheap license).

Is there a particular reason for this?

I like their work, and the game would actually be released in a timely fashion. Also, since nobody at Atlus has any interest in perverted games or visual novels, they have not had much to work on lately that wasn't an internal project. Legend of Legacy would be a nice opportunity for them.

Half-Minute Hero was the one they claimed was their worst selling title.

Also, Trails in the Sky Second Chapter is still a question mark, haha.

If we count Falcom stuff as a special exception (they have a Falcom ultrasupermegafan on staff), I think Senran Kagura and Corpse Party are the only series they've released sequels to in several years, although a lot of stuff they release seems to be one-offs and such, so I guess it's kind of still up in the air. Anime games seem to be getting crappier and probably cheaper, so I doubt it would be a problem going forward, but not getting HMH and RGC really stung, so it's hard to forget.

Fixed.

It's XSEED, half of them will be pervy games and the other half will be delayed. XSEED has gone down in quality for a me recently which has made me sad, and they always seem to take on more than they can handle, leading to delays and frustrations.

In order to release any RPG on Vita, the publisher must 1st release a game with perverse content. This is the reason why there is NTR content in FF X will.

You obviously haven't heard of 'If I Were In a Sealed Room With a Girl I'd Probably XXX' for the 3DS. I would link you to screenshots but they would probably get me banned.

It's great that XSeed found success on the PC. I don't see the benefit of playing Ys games on a keyboard though.

Haha, I really enjoyed this last year. Was expecting another one on the PlayStation Blog this year, so was presuming this wasn't coming after it didn't show up.

Very cool. I'll buy Ark on PC if that's where it comes (I'd prefer the PSP version, but I'd guess there's Konami-based issues to do with that).

Forbidden Magna... ehh. It looks average really I'll probably pick it up for £12 or so if I ever see it for that price like I did with Sorcery Saga.

Hoping the rest of them get solved! I presumed, looking at the picture at first, that it was only 4 games being teased.

Gamepads work on PC, you know.

The PSP version of Ys 6 is the worst version by far. It's so horrible...

I'm okay with that. The PSP version of Oath was much worse than the PC version, but I still greatly enjoyed it.

It's a lot worse than the PSP version of Oath, too. Falcom developed the PSP version of Oath, and they put a lot of care into it. The PSP version of Ys 6 has extremely long loading times, an unsteady framerate, and it's very ugly.

There's no HD version of the Ys games on consoles and the PSP versions aren't quite as good either.
A Ys PC port for Ys:MoC would benefit the game I think. It looks so blurry on the Vita, that's called ghosting right? It actually hurt my eyes when I played for longer periods of time.

Geez no chill. I'm sure some people prefer to play games on consoles but okay.
While I think people should care more about the game they are playing instead of the platform it is released on (a crazy statement to most of GAF, I reckon), you could have just said this instead of making your original, uninformed, statement.

I need a place where I can read the plot summary of the first Trails in the Sky. I played it years ago and besides a few scenes including the last one, I don't remember much of it.

Until Atlus get their collective head out of their ass about dual audio everything they pick up is a net loss for me. When Nintendo and Square-Enix are more progressive and better at providing features than you are you know that something went terribly wrong.
