what does this even mean

Been playing some Peace Walker again recently, jumping back in to some post-ending 1 extra ops. I have my qualms with the story, but I forgot how fun the game is. Kojima and team did a really good job allowing you to tackle missions in a ton of different ways despite the small level design.

If i had to guess i'd say the heavy taboo themes Kojima is going for with MGSV. Kojima even said he might have to leave the industry after this game.

I think the ending of GZ and the tapes is NOTHING compared to what we'll see in TPP.

Ah yeah I didn't suppose that. I know there is supposed to be issues of race, sexual violence, torture, etc.; curious to how it will all play out

what does this even mean

There was/is a thread on Reddit with this topic that they may have simply been chiming in on.

When the other guy asks Troy about David Hayter and the huge blacklash around it bla bla.... he says "reserve judgement until you actually play the game" ....he continues "even being a Metal Gear fan coming into this going wow that's what you're doing..."

He's clearly talking about the Hayter ruse.

David Hayter is in MGSV and he will voice Solid Snake.

That's more evidence for B and C actually since he used the Star Trek example of Chris Pine. Guess who wasn't in that movie? Shatner.

but shatner was going to have a voice cameo on the film, the problem is that Kirk had died on the Star Trek canon

he also was completely ignoring the distinction between BB and SS and commenting on hayter being replaced completely. that statement wouldn't make any sense if hayter was returning as SS

Holy shit! Someone did it! If anyone is pumped for this game and is a lover of music, check this out. I shed a tear or 10 ;_;

It's the Nuclear trailer with the much discussed by me song of inspiration, Epitaph. Listen BROTHERS! For I would not steer you wrong

Nice! I foresee a possible lawsuit against Mike Oldfield for completely ripping off that slide guitar riff.

Edit: Well, not just the guitar riff. The entire song, really.

Nawww, the song is different enough. True story though; My dad loves Chuck Norris and classic rock (Oldfield is OG, most Baby Boomers know of him), so I thought he'd dig the Phantom Pain trailer. I showed it to him and he was convinced that Nuclear was a cover of a King Crimson song. I knew exactly what song he had confused it with immediately, though I hadn't made the connection on my own prior to our discussion.

Epitaph really hits the spot... I downloaded this song weeks ago when it was first brought up in this thread, and the song truly hits all the emotions. I will just crank my headphones, close my eyes and listen to this song with thoughts of TPP in my head. Good find SkullFace, and much props to who had suggested it in the first place

I wouldn't be so sure. There's an ongoing lawsuit against the members of Led Zeppelin concerning those notorious arpeggiated chords from Stairway to Heaven as allegedly being plagiarized from this earlier song by the band Spirit:

You can check the trial records, maybe those show the fastest time?

You can always try to shave off more seconds too. And no reflex

i think it's a points thing unfortunately, cause the first time is 25 mins and now i'm able to do a 10 mins all the time. :(

i've never used reflex. :)

Glad you liked it dude. I'm surprised it took me this long to find a trailer remake with that song.

Jesus, I fucking hate most music lawsuits. Stairway to Heaven most certainly isn't plagiarized from that Spirit song. There's no way they win that suit.

If there is one lawsuit that I'd like to see happen, it'd be Tom Petty v Sam Smith. Seriously, "Stay With Me" is a blatant rip off of "I Won't Back Down". It's almost as clear cut as the George Harrison case.

The one game that I wouldn't care if they released now with bugs to be patched later, and Kojima the perfectionist is working on it. Damn...
