Just got my Nintendo case here in Toronto, Canada. The Mario/Pikmin ones look fantastic. Best case yet.

same here, just got it. I love the Bowser/Koopalings one. Using that as the outside cover, and I'm using the blue side of the Pikmin cover on the inside.

So what do we think will happen now that Club Nintendo EU is going to be discontinued?

Also, apparently only one of my 3DS game cases (ordered two) shipped to me. I ordered both on the first day they were available, should I shoot out an email or just wait?

With CN ending in Europe and Japan I think we'll get the same announcement for NA once NoA wakes up in the morning. It explains why MM doesn't have an ITB.

NoA confirms Club Nintendo is ending.

REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--After more than six years of delivering fun Nintendo-themed rewards to its members, Club Nintendo is preparing to shut down. Nintendo’s loyalty-rewards program rewarded members with a variety of items, such as downloadable games, Nintendo posters or character figures in exchange for Coins that members earned by registering products or completing surveys. Club Nintendo members in the United States and Canada can earn additional Coins through the end of March, and can redeem those Coins through the end of June. Nintendo of America will be announcing a new customer loyalty program at a later date.

“We thank all Club Nintendo members for their dedication to Nintendo games and their ongoing love for our systems and characters”

“We thank all Club Nintendo members for their dedication to Nintendo games and their ongoing love for our systems and characters,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “We want to make this time of transition as easy as possible for our loyal Club Nintendo members, so we are going to add dozens of new rewards and downloadable games to help members clear out their Coin balances.”

Nintendo will add a number of physical reward options for members in February. Members will also be able to choose from a lineup of many downloadable games. As a gift to Club Nintendo members, the Flipnote Studio 3D software will be available to download for free in February. This software will allow users to create unique three-dimensional animations and to exchange their creations via local wireless with others who also own Flipnote Studio 3D. Users who uploaded creations to Flipnote Hatena will be able to download their personal animations from the Nintendo DSi Library menu in Flipnote Studio 3D software. Flipnote Studio 3D will be available to Club Nintendo members until June 30. The ability to create a new Club Nintendo account will end on March 31. All users who register to Club Nintendo before registration closes will be eligible to receive Flipnote Studio 3D.

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Holy crap! This sucks! Fuck!

Seriously, though, damn. For all the flak that CN got for not having good rewards, I really liked the stuff I got, which includes cases, a gold nunchuck and soundtracks. I really will miss CN, and I hope it's replacement is equally awesome. Gonna redeem all my codes tomorrow and see what I can get.

Nintendo will add a number of physical reward options for members in February.

Might wait for this, though I fear they'll run out quickly or they'll be overpriced.

I have about 2k in code redemptions I didn't use on Club Nintendo yet from games I was saving...

So bring it on. Gonna work tonight redeeming everything.

I am the same, although probably closer to 1.5k. Unless there was a promotion on a game (Mario Kart 8), I haven't really registered any Wii U titles since launch.

I wonder why they killed it. I wonder if it was because of code scamming.

As someone who lost points to it guess I am glad that they are ditching the codes that could be easily faked.

I expect all the good physical rewards to be sold out within 20-minutes. :lol

We are adding multiple items to our reward catalog, so please be sure to redeem your Coins before the deadline on June 30, 2015. Unused Coins will be deleted as of July 1, 2015.

Fuzzy I side with Cacildo on this. I think the good stuff is too come. They are taking down Club Nintendo because it was compromised due to their own negligence. I think NoA is finally going to put some good stuff out. I want to see what they add. I don't even have platnum points though so I doubt I will be able to get the good stuff.

Here's a thought: if you already have Platinum this year, and you know you are sitting on 300-600 points of unused codes, it's probably a good idea to start a second CN account to grab an extra Gold/Platinum reward (likely comparable to last year's selection of eShop exclusives and a few retail games). Unless you are counting on the appearance of an extremely costly physical reward, that is, and really need to bank coins on a single account. But we'll know in February, won't we?

I guess I have time for one last CN spreadsheet update, then...

Unless I keep it going to track sales and the like.

I'm saying when they do update the site with the new physical rewards the good ones will sell out almost instantaneously because people will have no reason not to spend all their coins. There will be no "I'll save my coins because there might be something better later" because there won't be. Thinking that any good physical rewards will still be available on June 30th is foolish.

CN ending is pretty depressing, since they released some cool stuff in the past, but it's just been on the decline. Hopefully the new program will be better. I just feel like we'll never get any good physical rewards again. :\

How useful would a game on second NNID be though? It seems like it would be too much trouble to swap your NNID every time you want to play that one game. If it was playstation or xbox you could just sign into a different account. You have to wipe the device every time you switch NNID.

You're given a code to enter on the eShop to redeem digital games. Those codes can be used on any account. It's why you had people selling/trading last year's Gold/Platinum reward codes.

Yeah, I guess you are right. They do mention that the physical items are limited. I only have a few points. I was eyeing the 18 cart case the other day, but I think I am going to let it ride and wait for the first physical update. I saw one of those cases for sale on Craigslist the other day and it is probably still there. I like the case because it is functional, instead of just being so sort of decoration or tchotchke (although I would get any Waluigi item available not matter how useless).

Okay. That makes more sense. Some of the wording on the website made it sound like the game was just added to you NNID or something.

Well this sucks :/

EDIT: By the way, can I link a second Wii U to my Club Nintendo account? I have a family account set up, would I need to use one of those accounts?
