Gametrailers Top 10 Most Anticipated 2015 Games

Major franchise developed by a company who pioneered gaming and has an iteration generally regarded as 'the best game ever made.' Yep, not seeing it.

The days of LttP and OoT are past.

Seconded.... I enjoyed Wind Waker, but it was never OMG FAVORITE GAME...and Twilight Princess was just wayyy too clunky especially compared to the close released Mario Galaxy
Bosses are god tier, but everything in between is just ok :|

Yeah, I thought the last two weren't at the usual levels Zelda should be bringing, so I dunno why this one would give more hype.

Fantastic list, I'd switch Overwatch and Witcher with Splatoon and Yoshi personally though. And bump Xenoblade way up.

They got number 1 right :D

Great list! Lots of awesome looking games on there and 2 of my top 3 most anticipated are on there: Persona 5 and Xenoblade Chronicles! Just missing Tales of Zestiria, but I never expect Tales games to make any major publications' anticipated list.

It is a good list, but: Persona 5 may not reach the west before 2016; I would put Uncharted 4 at second place; Bloodborne at 1st place; would take Xenoblade off the list (I dont have a WiiU) and place Quantum Break somewhere in the list; would take off Zelda for the same reason and place Forza M.6 in the 3rd place; change Batman to Until Dawn, and Overwatch to Heroes of the Storm!

If Scalebound was confirmed to 2015, I would easily change it for No Man's Sky or Metal Gear Solid V aswell.

Well, as of now P5 is officially set for a 2015 release in the US

Of course that could change, but so could nearly any other game on the list.

I don't know why, I've seen it so many times already, but I got shivers when that
Zelda
trailer came up. It's a toss-up between that and Xenoblade for my most anticipated, but lately that might be edging ahead a bit. Just a little. Maybe.

Persona 5 will no doubt be awesome, but that just seems like such a sure candidate to be pushed back, literally nothing of the game has been shown.

Will drop pants for Sony.
Zelda looks nothing special at all from what they've shown so far, any other name and it wouldn't even be in the Top 10. That said I wouldn't put down any money for the games mentioned, will rent Bloodborne, Uncharted 4 and Batman though.

So sad that maybe even first half of 2016 is a stretch for FFXV, got through fucking high school, A levels and a goddamn 5 year degree since the game was first announced as Versus. So depressing. :(

I was impressed but it made me look forward more to further footage than the actual game.
The demo, while looking gorgeous, left open too many areas unfinished that could make or break the game.

Just two more weeks...

Don't get me wrong, I really want it to hit this year, mainly because unless the PS4 version looks light years ahead of the PS3 (not holding my breath), I'll probably hold out a year or so for an improved Vita version, this series just feels so at home there. (They've gotta do it, right?) So the sooner the main version hits, the sooner that comes.

I swear, 2015 is heaven for RPGs and japanese games fans:

-A new Final Fantasy game and universe: Type-0 for the first outside Japan
-Playing FFXV for the first time: Episode Duscae
-A new FFXIV expansion: Heavensward
-A new Souls "spin-off": Bloodborne
-A new Persona mainline game
-A new Xeno mainline game
-A new Tales of mainline game
-A new Zelda mainline game

All my favourite series, in the same year. Seriously, what is happening.

And with a little luck, we could get the new Fire Emblem, Bravely Second and a DQ localization (Heroes, VII or X).

Best franchise ever number 1? The list is right cant complain. Anything after Zelda is simply, after Zelda.

Let's not delude ourselves, here. Zelda hasn't been king of the ring in a decade and a half. Every game since has been a try-hard attempt to recapture the magic of the N64 games.

No Halo says an awful lot about how far the franchise has fallen. If I was Microsoft I'd be panicking that my main system seller wasn't gaining any traction.

Pretty good list. Not personally interested in NMS or Overwatch. Batman and Witcher are iffy. But the rest are damn near Day 1 purchases.

Eh, don't really agree with you there. But hey opinions and all that stuff.

It's not a popularity poll...

It is kind of a hype poll though. Seems like even Halo fans are just preparing to complain about it. Or maybe that's primarily the fans, lol.

Wind Waker exceeded Ocarina and matched Majora. Twilight was a shameless throwback and Skyward was a failed attempt at something new.

I dunno, my hopes aren't too high, but it could certainly turn out to be a great game.

These list are always funny. Games like COD, AC, Battlefront, Halo are completely omitted and Uncharted barely makes the list.

Uncharted 4, Bloodborne, Witcher 3, MGSV and maybe Persona 5 for me from those.

Why would those games be on the list? It's Gametrailers' most anticipated games, not "the general public's most anticipated games".

A Link Between Worlds gives me hope, personally.

I reaaally hope this isn't the template for future Zelda. It was one of the most shallow entries yet.

You think so? I mean, simple, yes. And I hope they ditch the idea that you can approach the dungeons in any order, since it makes things a little too flat overall in terms of difficulty, but I enjoyed it a lot more than Skyward Sword -- which still takes way more shit than it deserves, probably.

no halo 5 huh

I know there will be hype and then some, but the lack of it now compared to some other games coming out down the road is somewhat telling.

If this was a list of the most marketable games/the games that are going to move systems it would essentially comprise:

Call of Duty: Tagline
Assassin's Creed: Tagline
FIFA 16
Madden
NBA 2K

As well as some of those included like Arkham Knight and Metal Gear Solid.

I don't really think inclusion or omission from a random Gametrailers list means anything for the state of one of the biggest brands in gaming.

Oh I would put it above SS, yes. I did enjoy the fact that ALBW was unobtrusive. That really elevated an otherwise decent game and helped me enjoy completing the entire thing.
