Hope I'm not too late. But I highly recommend Riviera. It's a port of the GBA version. Unique srpg of sorts, where individual weapons have specific uses, and number of uses. Great art, and a different design of game.

Edit: Despite a broke'd Vita, I'm still buying games up left and right. Finally completing my FF collection, plus picking up Legacy of Kain, and Shadow Warrior. My cart has 9 games, and the total will be less than $30 bucks. Love it.

I own Riveria, but it's a nice suggestion. Goes on sale too often for me not to have it and all the other Sting games, though.

I ended up... having will power. Or, more honestly, I researched so many games last night that I gave myself a headache, then realized I should either recognize I have a massive backlog and not buy anything, or cave and just buy something I know I'll like such as Brandish rather than spin in circles.

There are so many PSP games I want that just never go on sale, unfortunately, I think they're just too overpriced at this point. I break down some times and pick them up anyway (Elminage, quite a few others) but really, some of those $20+ psp games need a price drop + sale (Brandish excluded, since it's new).

I mean, I still bought 10 games from the current sale, most on my wishlist, so it's not like 'true' will power or anything. Very happy about my gets though... Roller of the Realm especially.

Tomb Raider : Anniversary
Tomb Raider : Legend
I can't download both games in my PS Vita. Am I supposed to download through PS3?

I downloaded Anniversary on my Vita just fine. What kind of error message is it giving you? You're just trying to do it from the PSP section of the Vita store, right?

Most excellent. You are right, it does go on sale quite often, but I don't ever see anyone talking about it :) Good on you for showing willpower outside of your wish list items though. It's a tough thing to do.

I didn't know it was removed from PSN.... I have plenty of games I didn't buy the DLC...
I hate this digital future

You can buy the ultimate edition (maybe the DLC) from Gamestop still. I think download codes will work (some have expiration dates, but the only one I've seen like that is the Killzone 3 limited edition rewards for some reason).

Has anyone tried that gamestop code for Scott Pilgrim yet? I know some were interested in it after the game was delisted. I highly recommend the game, personally. Great with 2+ people but pretty good solo. Online co op appears to still be functional and I mean, why wouldn't it I'm sure it's peer to peer

I can't find the PSP section in my Vita PSN store.
fyi, NA PSN store. Trying to download from PSN download list.
On EU PSN it's right above the themes tab on the Vita store. If there's no PSP section in US for some reason, try clicking search and type the game in. It may let you download that way. You have checked the game is Vita compatible in the US, right?

Hey everybody! Longtime lurker and I finally got in! Glad to finally be part of the madness. I love my Vita and it's nice to see like minds. As for the sale I bought Murdered: Soul Suspect, Legend of Mana, and Rollers of the Realm.

Welcome! Always remember VitaGaf is best GAF. Now you are here forever :D

So I bought a couple ps4 games in my batch of 10... all my other games are showing up in my download list correctly. My ps4 games aren't there, and if i go to their page in the store I still see 'add to cart'.

I'm going to call Sony obviously, but is anyone else having this issue?

My receipt clearly shows I bought them.

Web store? My download list is really slow at updating lately. Try signing out and back in, otherwise just wait a bit. All my stuff turned up at some point.

Did they combine it with the classics section? I'd check now, but I don't have wifi access right now.

The Tomb Raider PSP duo have never been directly downloadable to Vita in North America.

Grabbed this stuff with my 10% coupon.

Why don't more people recommend Shinobido 2? It's awesome, like a new Tenchu. You can take on missions for three factions, and depending on which you choose, you'll effect your relationship with the others. Gameplay's fun too. You can stealth kill, use a special cinematic instant kill, throw things to get enemy attention, lay traps like exploding sushi, or just run up and fight them. Really enjoying it so far.

Also played a bit of Unfinished Swan, which is incredibly pretty and runs surprisingly well. Reminds me of Rain in a way.

I played Shinobido at launch and just found it very repetetive. Looks really good though

Resogun it is. I'll have a ps4 around march so I'm collecting games as we go!

You guys are truly helpful I got DR1 cause of this thread im currently in chapter 1 Monokuma is boss.

Resogun was the correct answer, also you can play Resogun and get separate trophies on PS3/Vita. It's not as good as the PS4 version though--uglier, bad audio mix, 30 FPS. I played it anyway since it's easy trophies if you're skilled enough (odd that I have to say that...more games should make trophies about skill not grind)

Neo Geo Ultimate Shooting is hilarious...but then it becomes a Bullet Hell.
Dat OST doe.

That actually makes me slightly interested, but even on PS TV I'm not sure about playing a vert shmup at PSP's res/ratio. Don't suppose it has a rotated display option?

I'm surprised at how good Joe Danger on Vita looks. Shadows are pretty low res but everything else looks about the same as the PS3 version. Also runs really smooth (I'm assuming 60fps?). I highly recommend y'all buy it.

I also dabbled a bit in OlliOlli (got through half of the tutorial). Kinda reminds me of Skate but in 2D. It's alot harder than I expected but that just makes it more satisfying when you nail a trick. I really like the art style too.

Yes Joe Danger's port is great, as the game itself. JD2 will be a sure purchase once it's on sale. Four Door Lemon might be slow, but surely they're good. Aside from the crashes(both Joe Danger and Oddworld MO had crash problems on launch, luckily they've patched them), their works have been pretty good. Might get a look at their port of the Castle Crashers clone created by Mediatonic (the people behind Monsters Stole My Princess)

Olliolli is another great game, can't wait for the sequel.

Due to extremely frustrating circumstances, I'm not gonna be able to do the podcast this weekend. Subject AFAIK is the hunting game (monhun-like) genre. Anyone interested who is comfortable conversing about the subject for a decent period of time and has a way to get okay audio quality via skype please hit up Names

Might be good. Anyone interested in subbing should still say something, but my computer should be in the green for at least this much.

Like I said it is fine, Fish, I don't know if folks would be OK with it but we can skip this week until you are back up and running. The show wouldn't be the same without one of its hosts aha

Dead nation or Resogun? My god my head hurts I got some spare bucks for one game only guess I'll check YouTube for impressions.

Resogun is a masterpiece, a modern day take on defender done by devs clearly qualified to take on the genre (Super Stardust, Dead Nation, etc.).

Dead Nation is an amazing zombie dual stick shooter. Some people are really turned off by the primary weapon -- it's basically a pea shooter at the beginning, and you need to charge your shots to turn it into a head shot machine. Until you learn the timing of charging your shots and convert that to muscle memory, it makes the game feel a bit clunky. Once you get that timing down, it adds a whole level of gameplay as you line up multi-head shots and take down hoardes with only your rifle. Due to needing to charge your primary, though, it doesn't feel like a traditional dual stick shooter where you can just spray fire (though you can still do this with the rest of your guns).

Wanting opinions on:

#KILLALLZOMBIES (what are the chances this comes to Vita natively?)
Hustle Kings
Strike Suit Zero

I bought all 3. I haven't played them yet, so am not qualified to judge them... but I bought them because:

#KillAllZombies -- looks right up my alley. I appreciate the attempt at social stuff too, even if I'll likely never use it.

Hustlekings -- read several reviews. Everyone says it's a stand up pool game -- some reviews even mention the vita version being the best implementation of video pool ever. Easy choice to try at that price.

Strike Suit Zero -- definitely gets some bad reviews, but there are people out there who love it. I watched about 5-10 minutes of someone in the middle of a huge battle and he was clearly having a blast. And now I don't have to think about whether or not to buy it every time it goes on sale anymore.

Yes, webstore. 3 of the 10 games I bought last night were ps4 but I forgot to set them to dl. Went there this morning and they weren't in my list and didn't count as bought. (I bought them on the webstore fwiw).

I also had an incident a month or two ago where there was a sale on the Devil Summoners and neither was marked as bought, even though I swore I'd picked them up ages ago. They suddenly are marked as bought again... which is good, I suppose, except I don't understand what's going on. These are the first issues i've had like this in years of being a heavy psn buyer.

Handling the car in the PSP Crazy Taxi 1 is bizarre o_O

Also Neo Geo Ultimate Shooting comes with its predecessor game so it is 2 games in 1 neat.

Still trying to decide what to use the 10% code for. So far I have Shadow Warrior, Duodecim, and OlliOlli.

I keep going back and forth on if I want to get into Guilty Gear XRD or wait for it to go on sale since $54 is still a lot + there's already a DLC character.

Considering Costume Quest 2. Other than that, don't think I'd be adding anything else.

Feel like this is somewhat wasted on games that aren't on sale since they can always end up going on sale for way more than just 10% off.

Virtue's Last Reward is sooo good but goddamn all the travelling cutscene things are getting annoying. Is it just a way to hide load screens?

I had a similar issue last night. I don't know if the games showed up again on the web store, but I could download them from my Vita. :-/

1. Thanks for the impressions of the 3 games. I think I'll buy them all.

2. TOTALLY agree with Dead Nation. It's so freaking good on Vita. I played that prettymuch the entire visit home for the holidays. So addictive upgrading weapons.

Has anyone ever tried a concerted effort to get more psp games onto the store? Games like Metal Gear Acid, Warhammer, D&D Tactics, Valkyria Profile Lenneth, etc...

I realize some games are definitely not up due to licensing - I know that's the stock answer and i also know in most cases it's the reason because licensing is a nightmare. But just as I think it's legitimate to assume in most cases it's licensing, there's got to be a couple cases where it's just oversight and some fan pressure might get a game up (recent examples of this being Suikoden II, Vib Ribbon, etc). Obviously convincing Disney to put up BBS is likely a waste of time, but I'd think we'd have a chance with others.

What do you think the potential would be, as a community, to create a list of the most wanted missing psp games, and then, one by one, contacting the publishers and seeing if we can overcome their inertia? Pipe dream? Possible?

Feel like this is somewhat wasted on games that aren't on sale since they can always end up going on sale for way more than just 10% off.

That's the great debate, right? Do you buy old games that never go on sale because that 10% off is the best you're ever going to see? Do you punch yourself in the arm when they then finally go on sale two weeks later?

I finally bought all my games last night just to put myself out of that neverending circle. I decided against games not on sale... in part because I was already spending plenty, in part because they could go on a better sale, and in part because ultimately, if I really, really need to play a $10/$15 psp game -today-, I won't sweat the fact that I didn't save a buck/buck fifty on it.

No crossplay certainly sucks, but I'll usually remoteplay over native play for most things anyway. A sad number of games perform better since the native version is usually 30FPS at best. Depends how good the port is...is this a good port? Both 3DS and wii U versions apparently have problems. I'll pass for now.

BTW, the futuridium dudes mentioned Morpheus in the past, I'd love to see that game in VR, hope it happens. Not sure why we haven't heard about that lately

I think I'm gonna use the 10% off on the L.A. Noire DLC case that is not part of the Rockstar Pass (which is bullshit), since it wasn't discounted during the last Rockstar sales, so it probably never will be.

Also, subscribed (long time lurker, this place needs more PS4 love)
Also, first post, I'm so happy ;_;

I'm totally behind this honestly and considering how much influence the neogaf community has i believe it has a really good shot of being a possibility if we execute this idea in a organized fashion along with maybe a signatures of members who are interested in those games as well.

More lurkers that gonna stop lurking. :p
Welcome though.

I bought SENRAN KAGURA Bon Appetit, I feel dirty and like that i should crawl into a fetus position

I did the same and I have to admit it makes me more uncomfortable than Shinovi Versus, but the stories are fun :p One thing's for sure: while I was ok playing Shinovi around friends I can't say I feel the same for Bon Appetit, I don't really know why.

Picked up Infamous: Second Son new for $20... I really like it so far. Did a bunch of sidestuff for too long before finally going to get Fetch. Delsin and Fetch remind me of Chamber and Jubilee from Generation X, but with more fleshed out powers and personality:

I like these characters and the story direction more than I did Infamous 1, for now. I never played through 2 even though I had it on PS+ for years.

It's definitely more distracting than Shinovi Versus, I often missed notes due to lewd animations. haha

Am I missing anything?

I see the DriveClub Season Pass :O

Good boy. The DriveClub season pass was definitely worth the purchase. :)
