Well, that exceeded my expectations. This looks great, its Dragons Dogma with Co-Op, I iust have to get over the f2p. Now we pray this comes to the west.

Man, if this was a full console release people would be hyping the fuck out. Way too much room for error on this atm though. People are right to be cautious.

Still, this is pretty much exactly what people wanted. People praised the combat and pawn system but slammed pretty much everything else about the game and demanded online multiplayer. So Capcom kept the combat and pawn system and scrapped pretty much everything else and added online multiplayer. This has so much potential to go so well but at the same time so much potential to end horribly.

I dont know if I saw anyone saying they wanted an MMO or a F2P. I do remember reading people wanting a co-op experience but that is pretty different.
And agreed about the worry.

I hope I'm correct on this, but you essentially explore the world and fight huge monsters dragons dogma style, online with friends or pawns, then you go in to a city filled with real people to do social interactions like trading and shit.

If that's what this game is then holy fuck, thats like my dream come true, is there any chance that us filthy westerners will get it?

Hmmm, this is an indication of what could have been a great single-player game. A missed opportunity for me.

I am also wondering how the Sp will be or the story. A coop with a good story would have rocked but even in the MMO's I love the story in them pale even to DD's odd one.

Makes sense that it looks fairly bad graphically if this was started way back in the Dark Arisen timeframe

It's too early to speculate, but I suspect there will be much less exploration in comparison to Dragon's Dogma and more instance-based combat.

So innnnnn.

The combat alone (thanks Itsuno) made the first Dragon's Dogma worth it. Having a multiplayer version of that just adds to it.

Damn this looks fun. Im such a jackass for skipping the first one. Whats with all the split screen? Is that a big focus, or was that just the style of the trailer?

Ya I am going to hold off on my hate or hope but since no other MMO's handle exploration as well as an SP game I see the same thing happening. But hey I would love to be wrong if it comes to the west but it would be in a VERY odd place if it came to the west. Its a unique not good looking game connected to a game that didn't sell super well.

I really hope they don't lay the MMO aspect of it too thick. I really hope the game still has very strong quests and a good sense of discovery. What really sold me on the game when I was playing it was on the extra details. The fact that monsters got stronger the further you got from a road, the intertwining stories across sidequests, the limited (or, in the vanilla game, non-existent until very late) fast-travel methods, etc. I hope they keep that attention to detail, because I could easily see all of this attention to detail instead going for endless skinner boxes to get people to spend more money...

I'll still need to see more before I get too excited. Haven't even seen night time, or any environments that look interesting to explore. Gransys was pretty dense with nooks and crannies full of secrets and whatnot, even the capital let you run around all over the roofs. The environments shown in the trailer look big and fairly empty, good for housing monsters, but little else. The city's walls and buildings look almost too large to be scalable.

I just feel like they're going to cut something.
