Dragon's Dogma Online 1st Trailer

The most important question. Will this come to the west?

You cant be "in" if its JPN only and region IP locked. Keep expectations low.

I'll still need to see more before I get too excited. Haven't even seen night time, or any environments that look interesting to explore. Gransys was pretty dense with nooks and crannies full of secrets and whatnot, even the capital let you run around all over the roofs. The environments shown in the trailer look big and fairly empty, good for housing monsters, but little else. The city's walls and buildings look almost too large to be scalable.

I just feel like they're going to cut something.

Well, they've said that at launch the world is going to be about as big as the original game. And through updates it's going to grow to be 3x's as large.

Those ... may be the worst screen grabs I've ever seen.

Looked pretty damn good to me. The best part about it ... the framerate!

Great tune too..

I dont care if I don't know a lick of japanese. I will be downloading this immediately.

Big is all right, but what I liked about DD Vanilla is that the world was dense and detailed. I've played MMOs in the past with big world maps, but they tend to be vapid and empty of anything worth finding.

Graphics are clean and smooth, gameplay is the same awesomeness.
It is very hard not to be excited, even with the prospect of Capcom fucking it up on the business model.
It will be hard waiting for a Western announcement.

it looks surprisingly good. as one of the bigger dragon's dogma fans out there, what I REALLY wanted was a single player focused follow up, but if this game feels like dragon's dogma and isn't fundamentally fucked in some way I'll definitely be playing it -- so long as it comes out in america..

does anyone know about an NA release? has there been any hint?

Considering how this looks incredibly similar to OG Dragon's Dogma, it'd be great if Capcom finally ported that one to PC. Not convinced at all that they won't gimp the fuck out of DDO to get that sweet microtransaction money.

Well what do you know, that looks like Dragon's Dogma...

Hype aside, kinda wish the engine was given a big upgrade (Shadows still suck and don't cast proper shadows for the player characters), but I can definitely live with it. Guessing the footage was either PC or PS4, too clean to be PS3.

Interesting to see the "mystic knight" with a scepter weapon, hmm...

Phew, cloth physics seems to be in (if toned down a bit, i can't tell with certainty).
Crisis averted.

Looks like Dragon's Dogma, so it looks great!

Any mention of cross-play between PC and PS4?

Yeah, I really hope so, I would be able to play with PS4 friends and with shiny graphics/framerate/resolution on my PC.

Anyway, I want that game right now, if it equals the quality of DD, it should be a really good game.

Ok I officially want this game even if hasn't been confirmed for NA. Bring it over Capcom, I'm ready.

If this comes to the west I may just have to get a ps4.

My wallet will cry.

This will be available on the ps3 so I'd imagine you can run it if you bought your pc in the last 5 years.
