This is shaping up to be an amazing year.

I just asked The Game Atelier on Twitter about the status of that game (and a Vita version), but I can't imagine FHII as it last existed will come out. This is way too similar, and the silhouettes match the previously known Newton transformations.

The initial intent was to keep it as Flying Hamster II, as they made that much public. Their Kickstarter only had a week left and a mountain to climb before the cancellation.

Looking back at the Flying Hamster 2 Kickstarter, seems I missed that they offered free Steam keys to anyone who pledged to the KS. Wonder if they'll still honour that? It's a lot later now.
