Was there this much of a defense force for when Haze came out?
YES! i was there when Haze came out and so much ppl thought there was a vendetta against the game UNTIL the demo released lol

AI so good, you need to play like a drunk man in order to fully grasp how great it is.
I'd have a hard time coming up with areas that weren't madly impressive.
OK, that one manhole you climb out of when chasing the first lycan. That one tiny slice of a moment actually looked bad.
Everything else though? Literally every other area and angle in the game? Gobsmacking.
To be honest, arguing about something you have no idea about is pretty immature behaviour. But I was expecting it from the beginning so I won't pretend I'm surprised. Here's a video of me running around just to show that attacks happen in various places and from different directions, just like in that DS2 video. I'll leave it here against your "facts" which contradict it. Anybody can check my PSN profile to see that I finished this game, Dead Space or whatever. You go where you belong - to the ignore list, with other "Youtube gamers" who, ironically, value gameplay so much that they don't play games but watch them being played instead.

This video helps your argument in no form or fashion lol

Spot on . As a game, it is pure shit on the shovel.
Well... anything before a demo release could only be a vendetta...YES! i was there when Haze came out and so much ppl thought there was a vendetta against the game UNTIL the demo released lol
Uncharted 3 was worse.IDK, but at least as much as Twilight Princess getting an 8.8/10.
But the order is out now and people are still playing the victim complex.YES! i was there when Haze came out and so much ppl thought there was a vendetta against the game UNTIL the demo released lol
The Goomba from Super Mario Bros has great AI if you play the game without looking at the screen.Ohhh my god were you intentionally turning your back on the enemy just to prove they can attack from the back?
Jeeeez.......
How are people saying I liked it i would have given it an 8 out of ten? I need to make a list to remember to never listen to those people. I know it's only opinion and I respect that but this looks like a downright bad game to me.... That lycan fight....you can't even rig it to make the game look like it has decent ai.

Managed to watch about 2 minutes of it before i wanted to tear my eyes out.
Really can't stand Joe
You're mixing up marketing with design. Marketing pushed the game as an action TPS cause it's what sells. What's clear is the game was never designed to be Gears of War. It's funny you should use those examples cause the Order is very much a Heavy Rain or Gone Home like experience. Difference is they sprinkled in some TPS to spice up the endless QTE's and exploration you saw in those games. When I say sprinkle, I mean sprinkle cause there are a like 4 or 5 real shooter encounters the entire game. It would have been trivial for them to have padded the game with hours of nonsense clown car spawning gunplay like Gears or UC, but they did not. This strongly suggests that is not the game they set out to make.
Why? What was wrong with it?

He's thoroughly unentertaining and unfunny.
If you're going to joke around about a game at least be as funny as Zero Punctuation (which I look forward to reviewing The Order, even though I liked the game!)

Why should Joe do anything someone else is already doing? He's got his own thing going on. If you don't like it, don't watch it dude, it's cool.
Andrea Pessino, Founder/CTO at Ready At Dawn, in a tweet linked to a disgusting video review, were the "reviewer" in the video said that other reviewers that scored The Order a six should be fired for it, Andrea Pessino promoted this as the "final" review of The Order: 1886.

It does share an some similarities with Gone Home, but I'd barely class Gone Home as a game*. And in Gone Home picking up objects propelled you through the narrative, in the Order you pick up and interact with object for no reason what so ever, the vast majority of them serve no narrative purpose at all.
* games are about player agency the only agency Gone Home gives is the order in which you receive the set narrative.
What's really disgusting is the comments section for the video review.
And look how many thumbs of approval that comment got. I think that sums up pretty well the hate the cinematic games in general attract. TLOU got its share of it as well, eventhough it was a critical success.
I just find it startling that something designed from the ground up to be primarily a cinematic experience has cutscenes this dreadfully dull

My one problem with his review is he complains about how the story felt unfinished and was too busy setting up a sequel, but don't A LOT of games attempting to establish a franchise do this?
Halo did it, Mass Effect did it, Gears of War did it, etc.
Not fair to complain when those games got a pass. The game definitely has flaws, but that one could be tied to dozens of major releases over the last number of years.
Haven't played those three games, but I assume *something* gets resolved. Nothing did in the order.
edit: Wait I have played Mass Effect alot of things get resolved.
I'm not saying do what ZP is doing. I'm saying be funny. I don't find his delivery or his jokes funny at all. They come off painfully awkward and amateur.
I'm not watching the whole video because of this. I was just responding to someone that asked "Why" when someone said they couldn't get through 2 minutes. I couldn't get through much more than 2 minutes either.
only know the Uncharted 3 infamous review thread, is the TP thread worth checkin out? lol

So desperate lol. I can't believe a guy who made the game linked to that review.
Hasn't stopped you from posting 10+ posts in this thread. So why do care so much if you don't like him?

Yeah both halo and gears resolved what they set out to do.
Their first game had a conclusion.
While I can say I respect this review and say he makes and and backs up what appear to be very valid points / complaints, I can't say I "agree" with the review and it is "exactly how I feel about hte game" without playing it first.
If you rented it or played it at a friend's place, it should have been stated.
It's mostly that he thought it felt incomplete, not satisfying to deserve a second one after this this. Like a bad movie that enda unsatisfyingly with a sequel beg. The games you mentioned ended on a cliff hanger but the experience as a whole (gameplay+story) results in a more satisfying game where a cliff hanger gets you excited for the next game.My one problem with his review is he complains about how the story felt unfinished and was too busy setting up a sequel, but don't A LOT of games attempting to establish a franchise do this?
