DRIVECLUB gets....Buggies?

i'll buy it and play with this

Buggies on tarmac roads seems like a weird addition though, and i doubt we're getting dirt tracks as DLC. Could it be that this is something they did as a joke internally and these screens showing off the replay mode were put out there by mistake?

They are working on it, it's a server problem more than a game problem.

Honestly can we have just one DC thread without the drive by shit posting about the PS+ version?

So they're working on inconsequential features when fundamental aspects of the netcode and server functionality are still broken then? Talk about questionable priorities.

They are working on everything. Is just that 3D modellers or artists cant make network programming you know...

How many times does it need to be said:
Guys fixing the netcode are NOT the same guys creating new content.

You expect the entire company to just sit on their asses while the network guys take care of "priorities"?....

Oh and btw the netcode and server functionality works fine right now. But yes it needs to improve for the ps+ Version to come out.

No dude there are different people working on the netcode the other improvements. Talk about ignorant shitposting.

Their priority is ultimately to their paying customers, you know, the people who actually bought the game. And to whom the net code and server functionality is working without hitch, and who I'd imagine very much enjoy and appreciate the consistent release of new content and features.

So you want them to quit with the amount of content they have now? Hell no. They've done an AMAZING job with extra content for this game.

They have done an amazing job? Considering how bare bones the game shipped, of course adding stuff like a photo mode, replays and buggies is seen as "going the extra mile". Lots of driving games ship with a more complete game that Driveclub even has now. Why people don't see this confounds me.

y'all should be ashamed

Sorry, that's a complete and total lie. I think you're speaking out of ignorance there.

edit: for sure the game shipped bare bones but at this point it's nothing like it was before. And I don't even really enjoy playing DC all that much, just boot it up on occasion to see all the new stuff.

Quick guys. Get the concept artists on that netcode! We can't spend a single manhour on anything else?

It surely is a priority to them, but not every person at a company is multi-disciplined.

Not a single racing game offers what DC offers right now. Dont make me laugh.
DC is serious business and doesnt need openworld gameplay or other useless additions that brings nothing to the core experience.

No it's not it's barely a shell of a game. I mean it hasn't even explained why I'm avenging my murdered brothers death yet.

Really though I'm seriously hoping they treat Driveclub a bit like a platform and I would love if they announced a Rally expansion/season pass at e3. I think adding a full, multi-route/vehicle class motorstorm expansion would be over ambitious at this point but a rally mode seems like it would be feasible.

So all but confirmed now are the addition of Lambo's, a Nissan GT-R and Buggies? Sounds good to me! Can't wait to see what other vehicles they add. Even the Peugeot Onyx is a great addition.

If this game gets Motorstorm vehicles, off road, and a multi-path tracks (does it have those already?), I'm buying 100%. Only thing missing would be local multiplayer.

You tell 'em. At this point I consider Driveclub the best racer ever imagined and quite possibly the greatest game of all time. Raindrops on my windshield...replays... Nissan GT-Rs...and now buggies? Shiiiieeet. If it requires creating a thread every 9 hours to let the world know so be it. We may as well ask that it be given its own subforum to discuss these matters further. Ignore the PS+ concern trolls! Sony owes you peasants nothing.

As much as I'd love any form of Motorstorm coming to PS4 to be true, are we sure this isn't a fake image?

The HUD says the player is in position 12/12 but appears to be ahead of the vehicle on the left.

Could be flicking through different racers I guess..... Devs did say something about surprising vehicle additions on the way.

Kinda strange to have buggies without off-road courses isn't it?

I think its kinda strange.

DC Rally? ohpleaseohplease

Fuck it. Throw in the Sweet Tooth truck, Sully driving a Jeep, and the Arkham Knight Batmobile. More driving games need novelty cars.

Although it's a novelty more than anything I'd love a proper MotorStorm pack with a selection of different vehicles. Although it's clearly not going to happen It would be nice if whatever update contains this also had an option to remove the road surfaces so we were racing on mud instead.

It doesn't matter which way I think about it I just can't envision that there aren't people somewhere in Evolution driving off-road vehicles around on their PS4 dev-kits using this engine.

DriveClub and MotorStorm on alternating years with a season pass to keep support strong between the two game releases sounds just about perfect to me. :(

I really hope that rallying and offroad driving are kept out of DC.
There are enough other games out there that offer that kind of racing.
What I love about DC is that it offers competitive simcade racing with a huge variety of cars. We haven't seen that since PGR left town.
Imho there are enough rally games offering that. In DC there are more than enough other roads still left unexplored, such as the classic and open wheel category.

So as far as I'm concerned, keep it roadcars. But that's just my 2 cents.

You praise Phil Spencer for putting features and updates on a barebones-on-release xbone OS that should arguably have been there on day one, and yet your put Evo down for this game. No wonder it confuses you.
