Kojima will no longer be a Konami executive from April 1st + KojiPro is no more?

If it was Microsoft, then what? What's the difference?

Compare the size and influence of the three companies. And like others mentioned, given past shared projects, he has more in common with Sony and Nintendo.
Like I said, it's just my own opinion, I don't expect other people to agree and am fine with that. Let us not derail the thread though.

You don't need to be empathetic towards me.
Maybe Nintendo or Sony will pick him up.

No i mean why delete his name ?

Japanese usually shows respects to the creator.

Someone already mentioned it, but i also suspect that some executives are mad at him for leaving. (if he's leaving)
Not sure how to say it in English but "subtle dig" might be the word for it.

Why is everyone cool with Sony buying them but if was another company, this place would burn down.

It was clearly a joke, but I would imagine that people would take it more lightly because Kojima has been associated with the PS brand far longer than with MS or Nintendo, for example.

Jesus that was a quick scrub. Wouldn't be surprised if all Kojima's games are getting patched right now to remove his name.

Soon to be announced: Capital and Business Alliance - Nintendo x Kojima Production. The hints are in the air, we just have to read them!

No, seriously, the more time passes, the more hints about Konami trying to detatch themselves from Kojima as much as possible are found. Something is going down definitely.

Maybe they found out what's really gonna happen with BB in V :p

Seriously though, Kojima said MGSV might be a risky project for him. So it's either related to that or a big fat april's fools

I'm waiting for CAPCOM to announce that Shinji Mikami didn't work on Resident Evil 4 because "fuck Shinji Mikami".

Lol, this is unprecedented bullshit.

I really hope that Kojima has indeed severed ties with Konami. The man would finally be free to pursue ideas outside of Metal Gear, which is something he has had a desire to do for a very, very long time now. (And personally speaking, I'd love to see him do something else besides beat the Metal Gear horse, which has been dead, creatively speaking, for quite a while.) I'd love nothing more in life than to see Kojima work on an entirely fresh idea; his talents are too vast to be squandered on the same franchise forever.

Leaving Konami to start his own thing, I hope.

I love Metal Gear, but I want to see Koji do something else why he still has time.

I dont think Silent Hills is gonna happen after this.

Konami is gonna go full mobile and pachislot.

A plurality of the people on this forum, and probably most of the people who like Metal Gear, are fans of Sony/Playstation for various reasons. It's not really that hard to understand. Metal Gear has historically been more of a Sony franchise.

Kojima is really the G-man and will be announcing a release date for Half Life 3 as soon as he is no longer with Konami.

Rockefellers. Skull and Bones. Microsoft. Al Qaeda. A Cabal of Bankers. The melting point of steel. What do these things have in common? Wake up sheeple, the landfill wasn't even REAL!
