All Bloodborne Amazon prime buyers that got late shipments

Did you ask them to? I was sent a damaged Destiny Ghost edition, called the, right up and they offered me $35 off, I say that isn't good enough as this is extremely limited and I want a new one. Next thing I know I've got $75 back and a $20 gift card. Push the issue.

No, one of the reps offered and it was on file, through chat history. So when I called they followed through.

That's what I was telling them when I had them on the phone. I have a Gamestop, Walmart and Target within 5 mins from where i live. I'll just shop there from now on. Extremely bad experience with Amazon this time. I mean sure they made up for it, but the frustration, I was on the phone this morning, like what is going on over there. The chat connected me with a rep, the rep had no idea what was going on in the chat, didn't know where it was with UPS, I was like, uh can you call, which they did. Seems to be getting worse though as they get into more and more things.

When I got type-0 last week the website said "shipping now" all day on Monday and right before I went to bed it officialy shipped and showed up on day of release around 3. This time it kept saying "not yet shipped" all day Monday and when I woke Tuesday it still said it. Cancelled the order and downloaded it. I'm all for Amazon and their business model, but this left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't HAVE to preorder there.

They screwed up my CE as well, but I just cancelled it as I heard it was pretty crummy anyway. They upgraded me to 1-Day shipping, but it still wouldn't arrive until Thursday. After talking to 3 CSRs, I got $40 in Amazon Credit and 1 Month of free Prime for the fuck up, and other fuckups they have caused in the past. This is 3rd video game release where I've preordered from them and not received the game on release day despite being a Prime customer and choosing release day delivery.

Oh so they promised to refund it and haven't?

No they did refund it. The phone rep followed through from the chat conversation.

But everytime I opened a chat to see where the hell the CE was, they would give me an added month of prime, seemed to be their standard bandaid to a problem.

Ah sorry I misunderstood. I had an issue like this during the PS4 launch. They actually lost my copy of Battlefield 4 and kept trying to say it was on the way. I waited 2 weeks, because they said it may have been back ordered, then FedEx calls and said they lost it.

I'm not really sure they have one. The definitive answer seemed to be prime. ANy time I talked to them to see what's going on they offered a free month of prime. Hell I STILL don't have the game from Amazon, called this am, as UPS now says it has special instructions, which I didn't give, they changed the goddam address. Again even after they already refunded the price for the game, they offered a free month of prime, so that seems to be the standard, we screwed up, here's the bandaid. Truly infuriating though, I just want the CE, I'm not really sure what's going on with them lately.

I know everyone on here likes to white knight, that it's wrong I opened chats with Amazon, but seriously, I still don't have the game, and I may not get it today, when I spoke with a rep, they had the right address, but somehow a suite got added to it. If they removed the suite with UPS, it'd take another day to deliver the CE. At that point I just said, fine let the shipment go through, it'll go to the right address, it's the only business there, so it can't get lost, but damn, this whole thing with Amazon has been a fiasco.

After all the time I spent correcting their mess, they should have refunded the price, this is one of the worst shopping experiences I've had with them.

Dude, what you did is basically a scam. A lot of Amazon customers including me got screwed over with not getting it yesterday. Really was looking forward to the CE and playing it yesterday.

I contacted CS just ONCE yesterday to find out what was going on. 4 times is WAY too much. I'm guessing you're the real impatient type.

I love how you're still complaining of not having the game.. Impatient much..? You already got the FULL price refunded. Give them a break. I'm pretty sure that's more than what anyone got in this thread.

I still may not get it today either. As I said they have the delivery to the right address but with a suite. When I talked to support at Amazon he contacted UPS, said if they remove the suite from the delivery address it certainly won't arrive until tomorrow, and maybe even for calling that added a delay. Delivery still shows as special arrangements in UPS tracking site and Amazon has Out for Delivery with an ! on the status page, so who knows. Big mess with this though

They missed mine, and said for a moment it was coming on Friday. Was about to throw a fit before it updated, and is instead going to be on my doorstep today.

SO I wasn't gonna complain....

But I just did. Free month of Prime would be fine. We'll see what I get!

I have Prime, isn't it suppose to come day one?
Not getting till Thursday it says :(

Prime is guaranteed release day delivery on preorders.

After reading this thread, I called up Amazon and received one free month of Amazon Prime. I was reluctant to call since normally I don't complain. However, I was kind of upset to not see my copy of the game yesterday. Don't think I really care for another month honestly since I won't be using them again for release titles.

I just sent an email to Amazon explaining the situation. This is the first time in several years that they have missed a release date with me but I am still disappointed since this was a biggie. I have faith they will make it right.

My buddy was in the same situation and just did a chat with a CS rep and they gave him a free month of Prime. The issue seems fairly widespread.

Edit: While I was writing this I got an email from Amazon with a 1 month Prime extension. I'm satisfied.

This is what I don't get. What exactly is the policy behind a "guaranteed delivery date" at Amazon? I've seen people get anywhere from no compensation, to a $3.99 credit, to 4 months of additional Prime. What exactly is the guarantee?

Like a lot of things at Amazon, there is no official policy and it's down to the CSR you happen to be speaking to.

Terrible situation all around. I wish you the best of luck man. I know how it feels.

Be careful with Amazon, too many returns/complaints can result in a lifetime ban.

This actually happened with me with their kindle books. I returned ~15 or so just because I wanted the U.K book cover instead of the U.S. cover (I know, I know) and a rep e-mailed me saying my ebook returning privileges have been revoked. But I'm still able to return ebooks, so I don't know how acccurate that is. I've been a customer for 15+ years and have easily spend tens of thousands, so I'm sure they factor that in as well.

talk to customer service as you are entitled to a free month of prime as its in the fine print of the service.

Think I have been given about 6 additional free months of prime in total since I have had it due to things not arriving on the delivery date. Always worth an email to customer services.

Prime is guaranteed release day delivery on preorders.

If only if it was like that for every state :/

Wish I could do this with Best Buy, my CE's not coming until today. Only reason I use them is GCU, otherwise I would've kept my Amazon Prime preorder.

Not related to Bloodborne, but last fall had a release day game arrive a day late and got a month prime extension and a $20 credit. We've had other orders arrive outside the delivery date and they've made good with extension, Amazon credit, or free movies rentals..

This happened to me too. Annoying that it was late for something I preordered months in advance, but at least they still have good customer service.

Lol @ white knights giving a guy grief for barley taking advantage a multi-billion dollar company.

That's a shitty attitude to have. I hope you read the response below...

Amazon has one of the best customer service around and have treated me VERY well for over 10 years. I'd rather not exploit their "kindness" by trying to get a few extra bucks. That's how companies change their policies for the worse. Doesn't matter if they are a multi-billion dollar company - doesn't make it right to try to defraud for extra credit.

Nailed it.

I traded over $300 dollars worth of goods to them. Two weeks later it showed back up on my doorstep. Verified that the trade in wasn't declined. Talked to a rep to figure out how to send it back and they said to keep my stuff and the $300 in credit.

I'm really happy with them. Haha.

Yeah, I'm a pretty happy Amazon customer myself. They've not done me wrong and the couple of times I didn't get my item, they refunded me and didn't ask any questions. No pleading my case to some analyst to determine if I was stealing or whatever, just "Oh I'm sorry sir, let me get your account refunded for that. Can we still send you the item?"

They're not a perfect company but dammit they really do have superior customer service and that counts for a lot, in my opinion. So few companies honor the motto "The customer is always right" these days. Now its "Fuck you, give me your money.".

I also want to say that the entitlement out there with people is disgusting. The guy who opened 4 chats at once to get a bunch of credit? You're fucking gross, man. You're going to dick it up for the rest of us. I think sometimes we need to check our priorities and count our blessings. We're upset because a videogame is a day or two late? Not too bad when you consider the people who struggle to eat, stay disease free, or have to worry about being in the crossfire of some war. We could all try to be a little more fuckin REAL and just learn to get over shit and accept that the world doesn't exist to perfectly serve us at all times.

*Steps off of soap box*

Sorry, I'm done. Spending 3 days with my super fucking entitled 23 yr old sister in law has done some damage. Can't go anywhere with her.

Now that Amazon is charging tax in my state there's literally no reason to order new games through them if they're not going to get them to me on release day.

Mine was late. I called and got a $10 credit. I still would have rather just gotten the game on time. It gets so tiresome having to complain every time they don't deliver on their release day guarantee which seems to be happening more and more these days. This is the third or fourth time it's happened to me this year.

I've been reading the CE is being shipped in a bubble envelope too.

Serious question: with Best Buy's Gamers Club Unlocked- what is preventing Amazon buyers from going to get their games there?

I saw a lot of members had problems with the shipments.

Huh, if I had known this sooner I probably would've done this. Bayo 2, Smash, Ultimax, Evil Within, and some other games all came at least a day late (some 4). Just refunded most of the games and sticking to retail for new releases because fuck amazon for preordering games.

I've been reading the CE is being shipped in a bubble envelope too.

Yep, mine came this way. Luckily there wasn't any scuffs or damage to the case but that was a pretty risky move on their end. Amazon is usually really good at packaging too. This is the kind of stuff I expect when buying from a 3rd party on Amazon, not from Amazon themselves.

I can't believe people still order games from Amazon.

Why? Free shipping, no sales tax. There are plenty of reasons.

I can't believe people still order games from Amazon.

They're great for me for picking up older games. I mean, there are very few trustworthy places that have the ZOE HD collection in stock for 10 dollars. But for new games, I'm baffled as well. Saw so many people in the Bloodborne OT upset their copy from Amazon was coming late.

Given that my state doesn't benefit from release date shipping, the only times I'd use em for preorders is if I really don't want to get it in stores or to deliberately stagger the time I get it because something else is coming out too soon.

Bloodborne is coming today (later and preordered as soon as up), but I'm not complaining because I need to buy a PS4 soon lol.

Pffft...Amazon and Prime are shit. I've had so many shipments late they've given me literally hundreds of dollars in credit over the last couple of years. Its mindblowing to me considering they have 2 huge distribution centers in 2 states that border me and they are literally hours away.
I never had any issues with Amazon failing to deliver except Nintendo products.
They tend to drop the ball the times I order Professor Layton and DKC:TF.

I have Prime and mine is currently confirmed to ship on Saturday - and the Steelbook is currently shown as ex stock. WTF?
Just wrote them an Email earlier and complained. This is pretty shitty from them.

did any amazon bloodborne buyers get the preorder DLC codes? Supposed to be some sorta top hat or something. Not a big deal, but no one I know got it and a friend who called customer service said they had no idea what he was talking about.

I went through Amazon since I'm a Prime member and I had $75 in the gift card balance I wanted to use. I ended up canceling my order, buying a PSN digital code, and getting the digital edition last night. Now I'll be able to start it together with my friend today and play at the same pace.

I just bitched and they gave me 10 bucks in credit instead.

Hey it was offered, I wasn't arguing for that. 1st chat said don't worry it's fine, on Monday, it still hadn't shipped by 8pm, free Prime. 2nd chat, it's late but may be there by Tuesday prior to 8PM, free month of prime. Still not shipped Tuesday afternoon, it'll be there don't worry or we'll refund the purchase, free month of prime. Then shipped but in South Carolina, not NY, they refunded the purchase and a free month of prime.

I legit was taking time out of my day to get a definite answer as to what the hell was going on with the game.

I can only imagine you spend shit loads of money on Amazon as a high-value customer for them to offer you a refund plus four months. I called and had to threaten to never preorder from them again just for a $5 credit.

Wow. After this thread I think I'll be talking to Amazon later and ask why I've been treated so much differently than others with my multiple late deliveries. All I've received TOTAL is $5 credit. Think I'll wait until my copy arrives though in case I have to talk to them about a damaged product anyway since I've heard that's been an issue with the CE.
