only thing bothering me in this part is that, apparently, there's no lantern (or great shortcuts) near any of the bosses, so you have to traverse through all that long and dangerous path. It seems a bit pointless if you've explored the area already. It just makes dying doubly annoying, as it takes time and carefulness and you might lose the souls you gather on the way. I don't want to kill those two stone dudes and the
people on the bridge
every time to get the elevator..

Still in love with this game. Can't remember last time I had this much fun. I'm completely poor right now, but it was worth the investment.

Just go down through the house and bypass the two orges. All you have deal with is bridge.

Holy shit the difficulty spikes when you get put in the area with the bag men. :O

They are seriously wrecking my shit.

Just finally got around to beating Vicar Amelia after just messing around with extra areas. The greatswod just demolished her. Broken limbs and stuns like every attack combo. Saw a couple of really interesting things from her as well that I'm sure will show up in some youtube video later.
She has like 20 seconds of speech that she repeats as a prayer before the fight if you don't get too close to her. Something that you don't get the change to hear again one she changes. Also in the cutscene at the alter after it the old guy says the same name that the old guy in the Hunter's Dream says when he is sleeping outside. Laurence or something.

Today, quickly and easily killed Cleric Beast. Only time it gave me trouble was on a stunlock he gave me followed by a pound, I almost insta died. Maybe I was being unlucky yesterday!

Found the weapon
saw spear
, it sucks. I don't even know why it exists, when it is weaker than all starting weapons, apparently.
However, the kirkhammer is incredible. Only problem is that some enemies are REALLY resilient to crush damage. Also, I'm too used to the axe to change now; what an incredible starting weapon.

Sewers aren't as scary as they seemed at first. Very short too! Having a
torch
helped a bit =3

I've already reached the bullet inventory limit; so easy, thankfully. I wish it were higher tho, not to have to farm for it, ever, like with the herbs in Demon's.

Got to Father G. Holy fuck, what a cool boss. It was being REALLY easy until he stunlocked me in a 4 hit string combo with his two handed version of the axe, and I died; brutal. I also thankfully have the
box
hehe.

There are shortcuts to Father G

I don't know what happens yet, but all my Yurt alarms were going off

Can anyone tell me the location of the NPC for this item:
red jewellery brooch

I think it's in central yharnam, but I don't recall ever speaking to her.

Regretting building my character for ludwigs holy sword. I've made it to the end of the game with it and it's undoubtedly very powerful, but I just find it boring swinging a great sword around when there's all these other cool weapons to use.

I think I'm gonna test all the weapons on this character, start again and build for a weapon that i find the most fun rather than most powerful.

That guy seems like a total scumbag. I am afraid to tell anyone to go there.

Cool!

Saw Spear is awesome btw. Has an Excellent Jumping Attack and R2. Also has some of the highest damage and fastest morph attack animations.

Kirkhammer has sweet spot mechanics. You need to make sure to learn how to land the hammer head dead on or youll just do greatly reduced splash damage.

Thats all I had to say lol

So I have a bunch of items like
a claw beast, some slug thing, etc
and I have no idea what they do or what they are used for. Any ideas?

Yes!!! I managed to beat the first boss on my first atempt thanks to some of the comments in here that I've been reading since the spoiler thread (Starting with battle axe definitly makes things easier, Buying the starting armor from shop etc...) so Thank you ^^

I played both Demon's and Dark Souls and I'm not ashamed to admit, I took the easy way out whenever possible (Drake Sword, Magic, turtling, Cheesing etc...), so I was nervous about this game because It had faster combat and no shields, but so far I'm having a great time. My only deaths are from experminting with the combat switching long/short range and trying to get the bullet stun timing down. Anyways great experience so far

Third boss
Blood Soaked Beast
slaughtered.
First trial I went in just messing around. Not a real attempt.
Second time I fumbled my hotbar. So I fixed that.
Final attempt I landed so many ripostes the poor thing didn't stand a chance.

Would have been a first attempt kill if I had gone in proper and prepared my hotbar the way I thought I should and the way every note in the area encouraged me to do so.

Can't emphasize enough how much the level design here is on point compared to DaSII.
Still going strong with the Cane.

It's
on a roof right after the Father G bossfight. Go up the stairs then all the way to the end of the platform and drop off through the broken railing. It's on a body.

WAiting 25 minutes searching for someone to help with Father Gascoigne and it never finds anyone.

I found someone once within 10 seconds the first time, but ended up dying.

Now I've wasted two insight (Cancelled one search thinking the network was messed up) and now I've waited 25 minutes on a second search and still nothing.

Is the system wonky?

Pretty sure they act as slotted items but can only be equipped if the arcane requirement is met. Curious if there are any items similar to simpleton's spice for them.
