I'm up to the part where Jack
kills the scientists
on Helios. How far am i into the story? Let's say i do all sidequests too, how much do i have left?
Like 45% ish give or take a smidge, it goes quite fast after the slow build up, some things take longer due to the travel required though.

There isn't really after the Shooting star and Big thumprr got nerfed least not too that level. Stuff like the 88 Fragnum, Longnail, Miss Moxxi's probe, and Miss Moxxi's vibra pluse aren't overpowered to the same level as the Shooring star and Big thumprr but they have their moments.

Is Nisha's legendary class mod still bugged? It was adding 5 extra points to her skills. She was ungodly.

If it's the celestial lawbringer class mod you're talking about that not a bug that's what it is.

It is the Celestial, but it was adding extra points to her skills on top of the normal 5 it was supposed to add. It was adding 5 points PER point already invested. So if you had 5 points in say, Quickshot, she actually had 30.

Oh that, it was fixed in November in the hotfix.

Bummer. I liked being a god. :) I guess I haven't touched the game since then. I need to finish my Jack playthrough, but I may as well wait for the next-gen version in March.
If I get it i'll probably do a doppelgänger run then as well.
I think it's farther than that, the scientist dying was fairly far into the game IIRC.
That point is about 50-55% of the way through probably 45% was a bit conservative. There's 3 whole chapters left plus all the sidequests that happen in those stages that they want to do.

I got the Claptrap edition because I'm a huge Borderlands freak. If you play on Xbox One and want to have some co-op fun, my Live tag is my username.

I just bought the game today so I'm going to speculate something.

I heard that there are few overpowered weapons and shields so I presumed that they got hit by nerf stick.

Is there any overpowered weapon and shield that are still alive right now?

Yea i don't really recall hearing anything that is really broken. Lasers are pretty powerful though. The ol rosie use to be amazing! Just experiment some and see what fits your build. I'd try to get my hands on a celestial class mod though.

Hopefully the dlc goes on sale soon because yea it didn't add much substance or "things to do" in the game, which is something this game sorely needs. The hollowdome is better and more challenging with more players but it's still overall fairly uninspired.

Some of the pros are, it comes with 10 extra levels and a few interesting guns like the hyperion laser pistols, allows you to fight flame knuckle again without restarting the play through.

I was expecting a TPS version of Digistruct Peak
But we got Tycho's Ribs - The shit version

I actually rather do Tycho's Ribs since there are more loot opportunities with a much smaller timesink

A Felicity run is better too by a mile

Even the low budget Headhunter packs for BL2 are more inspired and rewarding

So. Huge fan of Borderlands here.
And I think BLTPS is a really bad Borderlands. Especially the writing and what they did with the old characters. Also the new characters are meh at best and they didn't get the humour right. And I love Borderlands 1 & 2 characters, the writing, the dialogues, the humour... they're fantastic. BLTPS tries too hard and misses. Feels childish and immature, just a wannabe copycat of BL humour.
The writing is my main gripe. But it's a bad Borderlands for a lot of tiny little details.

Anyway, while being a terrible Borderlands, it can still be a pretty decent and fun game. Not for full price (feels more like a big DLC), but it's not money down the drain.

Said so, I played a bit of the Holodome. And while I loved Moxxi's Underdome... it's really, really boring. I tried it at a friend's place and I almost fell asleep on his keyboard.

I liked the new playable characters, but didn't like the level design for the most part. I think Helios was the only level that stood out for me (reminded me of Opportunity), and there wasn't anything like a Bloodshot Stronghold. Helios also needs another fast travel station in the Veins section.
The back and forth, go here/push button quest design was really frustrating at points - the lead up to Felicity especially. Seriously, I just don't know anyone who likes that kind of anti-climactic design. "Oh, that was supposed to re-open the bridge, but haha it's busted. Go all the way over there and do something else that won't work. Go across the map again... psych!"
I really hate what feels like nothing more than padding.

Oh, I did love the e-gun quest line. Very cool.

Anyone else looking forward to the Claptastic dlc tomorrow?
No way they gonna fuck this one up and make it very short right? It's the only Campaign DLC it's gonna get. I'm gonna wait for a pricedrop before purchasing this one, but I'm looking forward to it and to some impressions from u guys.

It better not be short. lol

I've heard there's also a patch coming out soon allowing most of the unique enemy characters to respawn, so they can be farmed. Zarp is not one of them sadly because of how they set up that encounter, but iirc her drops were transferred to Sentinel.

RESPAWNABLE BOSSES

In Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, the following bosses will now respawn when a player exits and re-enters a map:

Tiny Destroyer
Boomer
Rabid Adams
Giant Shuggarath
Bruce
Rooster Booster
Even-More-Disgusting Tork
Drongo Bones
Meg
CLAP-L3K
Lost Legion Powersuit Noob
Meat Head

Technical limitations prevented us from making all bosses farmable, so those loot pools

There's also this.

As we previously announced, this update adds loot unlocks for Tales from the Borderlands Season Pass holders. Note that your Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel unlocks will be tied to the platform on which you own the Tales from the Borderlands Season Pass for. So:

Xbox One or PS4 Tales from the Borderlands Season Pass owners can redeem their loot in the The Handsome Collection on the same platform
Xbox 360 or PS3 Tales from the Borderlands Season Pass owners can redeem their loot in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel on the same platform (note that these can then be transferred to The Handsome Collection using the Cross-Save functionality)
Android and iOS Tales from the Borderlands Season Pass owners can redeem their loot in the Steam version of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

: I should've gotten the TftB season pass. Dammit!
I got it all from here.

There's already a review for it up on IGN's website but I avoided reading it because of potential spoilers.

omg, it's the first AND LAST real content added to the season pass...

But it feels kinda easy... and a little boring so far @ lvl60 :p

Early Impressions:

I have none because I, for the life of me, cannot figure how to get it to recognize that I downloaded both packs including the Compatibility Pack. Time to search the internet....

I've completed every mission in the final dlc except killing the final boss. I had his health halfway down but he just has so much *sigh*

and to make matters worse:
I just found out that he has an even tougher 2nd form :(
The dlc was fun, but this fight isn't fun (to me) ...

I guess I'll try again tomorrow, but this should have been a raid boss or something.

Beat the first form and then got the second form down to about half of his life left all while this thing is spamming moonshots, missiles, baddasses etc. That took me forever to do and I kept going down because Aurelia is the squishiest character with subpar health regen.

It's easy to find places to take cover from the first form but the second form is ridiculous.

I'm over it.

I finally completely take away his shield and then take off half of his health, then he fully recovers his sheild and goes back up to 75% health and spawns some of the tougher enemies near me as well :(
Eniac's Atonement works well against him though. Sometimes there's just so much happening on screen that I can even see though. I think I'm done, I'll youtube the ending.
(I'm playing on TVHM by the way)

edit: I managed to get eos' health halfway down but then there was so much stuff attacking me and flying at me that I couldn't tell what was happening and died.

Just beat him. I thought I would have to start over from the first phase again but he was already in his second form.

Got two of these, shock for his shield and cryo (because Aurelia) when it was down. I just stayed on the lower level of the main pathway where the things that generate ammo are and scurried from one side to the other when things got too hectic. It should be much easier with another character tbh.

I think I'm on chapter 3 now, one of the plot twist was fairly obvious but it still was entertaining. So far it's alright. There's definitely alot more to do and i love the tech references.

I haven't been playing with the glitch weapons but one smg i had went into claptrap gunzerk mode and wouldn't stop shooting.

Edit: i got a little further in. It's getting crazy lol

Yea I love both versions of his song lol

I'm glad I didn't have to fight the first again after I took a break. It's easier when you're not constantly running out of ammo. lol. But SO many missiles. I playing as Athena so sometimes I just went all out with my shield covering me. I love that Aspis. That ending though. :0

I guess it's time to do all the side quest now.

Do the environments ever get more interesting than moon stuff? I'm still early (Nisha, lvl 9), but so far it's all very samey moon surfaces. I fear there will never be awesome tropical vistas or desert junkyards or cool stuff like that. I mean, I guess you can't have those things without oxygen but...

Shoot.

There is variation, but the entire game is pretty gloomy

BL2 has lots of primary colors, while TPS is 50 shades of gray
