Deadly Sin 2 was on several indie bundles.
It has on the Humble Bundle Weekly RPG Maker, on a Every Monday IndieGala bundle and on a Bundlestars bundle.
Ah that makes sense.

...
Dead State - Owners: 52,906 ± 13,160
That difference between BG1 and BG2.
"We do not talk about Breath of Death VII"Looked up a bunch of indie RPGs for obvious reasons,
Cthulhu Saves the World: 489k ± 41k
Penny Arcade 3: 263k ± 30k
Penny Arcade 4: 142k ± 22k
This is just sad =(
Dead State wasn't stellar or anything but it deserved a better fate than this.
It really was released quietly with no fanfare. Even stuff like NEO Scavenger is 107,519 ± 18,758This is just sad =(

Some more interesting stuff.
Don't Starve was at a million sales by the end of 2013. http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/...n_a_million_copies_of_Dont_Starve_in_2013.php
The game is now at 2,464,405 ± 89,340
Also the don't starve together beta is at 1,292,788 ± 64,875.
I think it is safe to assume a decent amount of the growth is from people interested in the co-op beta. The only way to get the beta is to also buy the frontier pack which includes the original game, or to be given a copy by someone who owned the previous game and bought into it at 75% off for two copies.
Borderlands 2 is at 4,814,464 ± 124,217 + RU version 388,263 ± 35,624
The game was said to have crossed 12 million recently across all platforms, which means pc seems to be on par with individual console sales.
http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/03/25/borderlands-2-sales-pass-the-12-million-mark
Also Borderlands 1 is at 2,236,567 ± 85,153 meaning the franchise has grown quite a bit on pc(probably in part due to the better pc specific features/porting), however The Pre-sequel is at 744,953 ± 49,307. So I guess people mostly care about the mainline series, were maybe experiencing a bit of franchise fatigue, or it just because it hasn't been out for nearly as long.
Skyrim was at 20 million across all platforms a little over a year ago.
http://www.gamespot.com/articles/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-sells-20-million-copies/1100-6417363/
It is now 8,264,460 ± 161,481 just on pc. That is pretty impressive, it would be cool to see an updated total across all platforms.
Its predecessors weren't released on Steam until many years after their initial releases, but still have pretty impressive numbers.
Oblivion is at 1,353,375 ± 66,369
Morrowindis at 826,019 ± 51,911aka the best one
Terraria is at 5,711,309 ± 135,020. Pretty insane for an indie game.
OH! Nevermind thenYou could get NEO Scavenger for $1 in a bundle, though.
Yeah. I haven't played too far in to it, but what I have played I've enjoyed.

and party based rpgs have always been popular on pc too, imagine how well Dragon's Dogma would've done. :'(
Ooooooh I love sales date. Curious how accurate this'll turn out.l
It wasn't discounted properly yet, give it time. Double bear said it was what they expected and they're on to their next game nowThis is just sad =(
Dead State wasn't stellar or anything but it deserved a better fate than this.
People mainly complained about it because 2K thought that Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia and maybe few other countries were part of Russia. If I remember correctly, Borderlands 2 RU was once a separate purchase, but then because of much complaining because of the region lock on the online, they granted the worldwide version to every russian purchaser. So the 388,263 figure works as the Russian part inside of the 4,814,464 figure.
I'm dying to see The Evil Within's and both Metal Gear games' numbers.
What do you mean? The numbers are there.
Really? I was typing them in but no results showed up. Maybe I was doing it wrong.

Men at War had a free weekend a week or so ago. As this site updates in intervals with days between, it's safe to assume it's also including those free weekend players. Just wait another week until the site does another check if you want accurate MaW numbers.Use the Search box at the top right, the one above the top 100 chart only searches for games on the chart.
Nice site, surely this can't be right though? 23 million for Men at War??
It was optimized extremely well for PC so most people knew they could run it just fine. So yes, impressive numbers considering how late the port was and how console-centric the series is.Interesting thing with GZ is that, across the 4 consoles combined, it sold 1 million in a quarter of a year. Considering GZ on PC has been out for a quarter of a year now, that is pretty competitive. Again, the right "AAA" title does just as well on PC

Recent free weekend, skews the numbers. It will go down as Steam deregisters the game.

The irony being if Capcom had released a PC version initially we would have likely seen a sequel by now.
Cult classic games with positive word of mouth continue selling in droves long past the point where console sales are being cannibalized by the used markets.
Holy shit! Global Offensive is almost the best selling Counter Strike.Counter-Strike 11,179,420 ± 186,558
Counter-Strike: Source 13,700,998 ± 205,321
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive 12,142,825 ± 193,997

So the developer of SteamSpy - Sergey Galyonkin - now tweeted that he has claims from some developers saying that their numbers provided by publisher are WAY LOWER. Seems interesting.

Shadowrun Returns: 771k ± 51k
Shadowrun Dragonfall: 326k ± 33k
Don't devs get the sales data from steam as well? Only the publishers? That seems...dumb
DayZ's numbers seem to be pretty much spot on.
3,085,626 +/- 100,000
3,040,754 showing on the site
http://dayz.com/game
This could be fun. I hope more devs will discover something similar and pursue it further. So the developer of SteamSpy - Sergey Galyonkin - now tweeted that he has claims from some developers saying that their numbers provided by publisher are WAY LOWER. Seems interesting.

Even more important, they have sold 1.6 millions of Arma 3, and that one doesn't the have zobmie and/or survival appeal from Dayz to bring people in.
(Actually there is a zombie mod but it's way less known than Dayz, it didn't go "viral" like Dayz).
Evil Within - 247,464
Metal Gear Rising - 424,956
MGS V - Ground Zeroes - 249,171

I think this may be thread worthy.
