Bandai Namco new countdown

Whatever it is, it will be for Mobile only and everyone will moan and grumble about it.

In contrast to others, Namco isn't so hot on Mobile/iOS. Their latest big stuff were always on Vita, so I'd put my money on Vita again. Maybe Vita/PS4.

The Amiga Brotherhood

Judging from the chains the artstyle looks anime, very different from this

All I know is that it's something that's probably not coming to the west thanks to their "we'd rather make no money from the west" mindset.

It's counting down to the moment when they'll entirely drop console development to focus on mobile.

(Sorry.)

Since Kadokawa is involved, it could be a new From game or (most likely) something related to a manga, light novel or something like that.

I wouldn't be surprised if it a new crossover game. Like Project X Zobe, Namco X Capcom.
That's what I'm thinking. That and Digimon.

Kadokawa is involved because they own Famitsu. If it was a new From game, Bandai Namco would only be involved if it was a new ACE or a new Gundam. But in that case, why host the teaser on Famitsu's website?

Why would they have a countdown up for a game that's already out?

What if it's a countdown for a PS4/PS3 version of the game, plus the announcement that all 3 versions will arrive to the West later this year.

It'd make sense to port it to more succesful platforms before localizing it. A better resolution + some extra AA should be good enough considering how well the game already looks on Vita.

Ignoring the immediacy and the fact that Bandai Namco JP usually doesn't announce ports first, this makes little sense to announce on a Famitsu site. Bandai Namco owns Digimon outright and reveals for that series are usually reserved for Shueisha's Jump magazines.

Not for a Digimon game, no. Wasting money and resources to port it to other platforms for a series they think it's pretty much dead in the west doesn't sound like something they'd do. They'll probably be okay with the vita sales from the west+asia to justify the cost of the localization and more, as SAO proved. If it happens.

Maybe it's related to this

It seems there's been a Namco Bandai press conference in Italy, during the "Level Up" event in Milan, and they have shown their upcoming games. Among them, two unannounced titles

Project X Zone 2: Brave New World (3DS)
Saints Seya Soldiers' Soul (PS4/PS3/PC)

The article has been removed from the site. Saints Seya has also been mentioned in a one week old MCV.com article

"Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 on the new consoles and PC will sell well when it comes out later in the year, as will One Piece Pirate Warriors 3, Saint Seiya, Tales of Zestiria, J-Stars Victory VS + and Godzilla.
