Best Casual PC Games?

Well,

What are those type of casual game that are available for PC?
I was playing Dungeon of the Endless and I found it pretty good.
But I also want to find more game that does not require a lot of effort to play, something to play in between of work.

No flash/html5 game.

Ask this guy, Casualkarrian:

People are still rioting over it.

Osmos, a gravity themed Katamari style game with an ambient sound track.
Crayon Physics Deluxe, physics creation puzzler with a child like aesthetic.
Hexcells, Sudoku x Minesweeper again with an ambient sound track.
Peggle Deluxe, one button pinball physics game play.
Race the Sun, a solar powered craft racing a sun set. Custom sound track recommended.

BeatHazard is great. Twin Stick shooter where you load your own music into the game and the special effects are based on your music. Very cool game which you can always fire for a few minutes just to enjoy the music and blow some stuff up.

Dude, if you're idea of casual is dungeon of the endless, you are truly hard core ;)

It's also disarming. I'm not sure what to suggest. What makes a game casual to you?

My idea of a casual game is Peggle. Simple mechanics, simple premise, not or veyr little story, and what there is is passively experienced.

But I think I could recommend something like Pillars of Eternity and you'd beat it in 5 minutes or something.

Edit: Given your pure gameplay explination, I'd recommend somehting like Hearthstone, Diablo 3, Torchlight 2.

I usually play the new Geometry Wars or Pinball FX for a bit if I need a short break from work. Both are games that don't require too much time, allow you to space out for a bit while still holding your attention, and still give you something to strive towards in improving your skills. I play both games with a gamepad though, especially Geometry Wars benefits from playing it like that.

I also agree with the people suggesting Audiosurf. Was hooked on that for a while.

I was gonna say The Sims but since OP is talking about doing something in-between work I don't think he'd ever get back to it with that.

Audiosurf is a lot of fun.

FTL or The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth for me.
I've spent many hours before beating them once, they have LOADS of content, provide a new experience each time you play, and both let you pick up where you left off.

Try something indie, like fez or braid.
You could also play civ (any civ game), it requires a lot of learning, but once you get it it's quite a nice game to sit, relax, and play.

Diablo 3. If I play it too long it makes me sleepy.

Oh yeah, dark souls and Dota 2 have the same effect on me.

Me and my friend had a lot of fun playing Chocolatier.

It's an old game, runs in a tiny window due to poor resolution support and I think it was originally coded in Flash, but damn if it isn't addictive.

It's basically a simplified resource management / business sim / trading game where you try to buy ingredients at the best price to make increasingly extravagant chocolate and sell it for profit. As uninteresting as that may sound, it's surprisingly addictive.

Will require a little learning of the systems up front, but it'd fit your description, great for quick sessions between tasks, no need to faff around with story. Enhanced Edition just released adding new content and it's even on sale on Steam atm.

If you've got a decent pair of headphones or sound system, check out FRACT OSC. I've been trying to stick to doing a puzzle per night and I find the music to be incredibly relaxing/cathartic.
