Not sure how it's supposed to fit on the box, but it looks awesome.

EDIT:

That key art with the teams makes me really interested in this game now. Master Chief leading Blue Team? And who's on Locke's team?

I hope what the dual protagonist/team thing means they are really overhauling the structure of these games. Halo 4's structure felt very like they were just checking the boxes and making sure they could craft a competent campaign. It's time to shake things up.

I still am completely not feeling this manufactured rivalry kinda stuff. His being on the cover (reverse side?) seems just as forced.

I think it is just so out of place in the halo game series and with the MC as a "character". Also.. I just don't care about that duder locke.

Speculation is that it's Macer (from Nightfall), Buck (from ODST), and either Romeo (same) or Tanaka (from the comics), depending on whether that leftmost one turns out to be male or female.

I suppose that's one of the things they're going to be getting into going forward.

Really like it. What's that machine/monster in the back?

Nobody knows. It's probably the same thing we saw in the first E3 teaser, way the hell back when, but past that...

So the big forerunner bird thing from the Announcement trailer is some sort of main baddy huh?

Meh.

Looks pretty dull to me. But then I'm not interested in Halo so I guess it doesn't really matter.

At the very least it's not a bad cover.

Wow...I'm not a huge fan of the ODST team but I think it's pretty cool that they'd be returning. At least Nathan Fillion would be back which is always good stuff.

Not necessarily, though. Setting aside that we don't know what it is, the best guess I've seen is that it's one of the titular Guardians, something protecting Forerunner stuff. Maybe you fight it, maybe not, but it's easy to imagine it being less a main baddy and more an obstacle, or sign of something else.

Im not much into halo but what is the story of this one suppose to be, a rival spartan?

Not rival. The Chief (main character) is, for whatever reason, being painted as a traitor. We don't know why yet, but it seems like he might have gone AWOL. Locke, dude on the right, is tasked to hunt him down.

Indeed, I just was not a fan of it's design at all. Was hoping whatever it was was redesigned or that it was not a large factor in the game.
