It is. 2.5D UE4 with custom shaders. Hopefully they go for something like Guilty Gear Xrd.Is 2.5D confirmed? Or do you just mean 3D objects in a sidescroller?

Hopefully she is an actual character instead of an anime shitty trope.
Consider who he used to work for, and it all makes sense.
No, don't. (And they won't, read the pitch)
It's a seriously ineffective way of spending your budget. I'd much rather have a large and varied 2.5D game than a tiny or repetitive sprite-based one.
Fine by me. 2.5d can look attractive given the right art design.
Though IMO the colors in the concept art are a bit too bright for me.
Female protag? Awesome!
A miserable little pile of posting privileges. What is a mod?
No Ayami Kojima is disappointing.
Yeah, I wonder how they will handle that for the inevitable stretch goal.If they're going Wii U, then UE4 is pretty much out of the question.

Aaaand deflated in 0.5s. Another Mighty no. 9.Bloodstained a 2.5D world built on Unreal Engine 4
Keep it sprite based Inti. Keep it Sprite based.
Edit: It's gonna be 3D? Well then. Immitate Abyss Odyssey as much as you can Inti.
I have no issue if it's 2.5D and looks similar to:
Also MN9 plays great. I can understand people having a problem with the art style but this is clearly aiming for a completely different theme.People holding out on gameplay before pledging.
Do remember the point of the Kickstarter is to gain enough money to assure development is actually possible.
I think starting development on a game that is unsure with no starting funds to make development possible in the first place and THEN rely on a Kickstarter is somewhat backwards.
I really don't see the issue with Inti Creates either. They made some of the finest platformers available on the GBA, DS and Digital release (i.e Megaman Zero, ZX, and Megaman 9 and 10)
If we wrote of an entire dev based on one project (Mighty No. 9) then pretty much every single developer in the market would have been written off then. Just something to consider.
Yeah, I wonder how they will handle that for the inevitable stretch goal.
Personally, I'd prefer if they just focus on high-end platforms rather than stretching themselves too thin, but I realize that not everyone sees it that way.
You're not billed until the end of the campaign.
It's in the kickstarter page:
Yeah, if they can achieve anything close to that, I'll be happy. Still nervous, though.i'm glad they point to gg xrd as an example of good 2.5d - i really like the visuals in that game
That's nothing new for Iga's works.
